I have been home a few days and I got the help I needed for my PTSD, BIPOLAR, ANXIETY SOCIAL ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND they even discovered I am a diabetic. Id say 95% of the staff are absolute Angels and are there because they actually care. I have been in and out of dr's for years trying to get help with no Luck untill I came to this place. Thankyou you guys for changing my life and getting me the help I needed. Ive never been able to think as clear, or get the mental help I needed untill now. April White 1 year ago I recently had the privilege of spending a week at Willowbrooke Mental Institute, and I must say it was a truly transformative experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm and serenity wash over me, thanks to the beautiful surroundings and the warm welcome from the staff. The facilities were top-notch, with spacious rooms and a serene atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The therapy sessions were led by experienced professionals who were knowledgeable and empathetic, and the group sessions were engaging and thought-provoking. But what really impressed me was the sense of community that permeated every aspect of the program. From the daily activities to the meals, everything was designed to promote connection and camaraderie among the residents. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt supported and included, and I left feeling like I was part of a true community rather than just a patient. Overall, my experience at Willowbrooke was nothing short of exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective approach to mental health treatment. The doctor gave me pain medication and I took them like I was told and still became addicted. I went here for treatment and it was a JOKE ! horrible place . 0/10 wouldn't recommend. Now fast forward were in 2024 and had more surgeries and once again got addicted but this place is INCREDIBLE!!!! no longer wait times. No drugs being sold outside. It gives facilitators credibility that can't be learned, except by personal experience. The facilities are first class. It's a huge, multi room house with usually 3 to a room. However,the main issue here is the CONSTANT councilor change! As soon as one gets comfortable with their counselor, they leave. It is such piece of mind to build a relationship with your councilor and the nurses, just so you can have that report and someone that knows you and can be in your corner if ever needed. There are alot of patients that are not there for the right reasons, then there are also alot of patients that ARE there for the right reasons. The constant change certainly does not give one peace of mind. Familiar faces change places. I can not help but think its the higher ups not doing what is necessary to keep them happy in their workplace. Its sad really! Seeing consistency is very important, especially for addicts working on their road to recovery! I called Pathways on Monday and asked if they saw patients without insurance and the girl, her name was Ashley I believe, was very helpful and let me know that they do see patients without insurance and walked me through how to get him in. We went to the Department of Labor on Monday and got his income verification, then went to Pathways Tuesday morning early as a walk-in because that’s what you have to do to be seen for free. We got lucky and he was seen within 30 minutes of getting there! Every person that works there was pleasant and friendly. The staff at the front were friendly to every patient that came in, and they actually seemed to enjoy their jobs, and truly care about making sure patients got the help they need. I heard them communicate with people over the phone as well, and they were friendly and helpful. I have a lot of experience with doctor’s offices, and worked in many myself, and it is refreshing to be greeted by friendly, helpful, non- judgmental staff. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.
