My experience at Centered has been life-altering to a level far beyond my original expectations. I signed up for the intensive outpatient program hoping to end an addiction and realized almost immediately upon beginning the program that the learning available to me at Centered encompassed so much more than addiction recovery. I could’ve confidently ended my IOP program after 4-5 weeks, fully recovered from my addiction. Here I am, almost 6 months later, still attending multiple group sessions per week. Can’t speak highly enough about Centered, its teachers and staff, and the never-ending insights about the journey of life I continue to realize.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Designed for individuals who don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a form of outpatient care with a higher level of support. PHP treatment can be an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down option. With daily sessions lasting 6 to 8 hours, up to 5 days a week, a partial hospitalization program may offer medication management, relapse prevention techniques, and behavioral therapy interventions. PHP treatment can be fully or partially covered by insurance.

Sober living homes in Georgia offers an alternative to the abrupt change of moving from intensive treatment to an unstructured home environment. Men's and women's sober living homes replicate everyday life situations, but they do so in a sober environment while also reinforcing healthy habits. This reduces the chance of relapse. Individuals who could use extra support after rehab or don't have a stable home environment can benefit from this transitional option.

Medical detox is the process of ridding the body of addictive substances in a medically supervised setting. If you become chemically dependent on a substance like alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines (like Xanax or Ativan), quitting abruptly can cause uncomfortable or even dangerous side effects. Licensed medical professionals ensure the process goes as safely and comfortably as possible while monitoring you 24/7 and administering any required medications,

Participants in 12 step recovery programs focus on personal growth to address the emotional and psychological factors contributing to their addiction. 12 step recovery is rooted in spiritual development, but religious affiliation isn't required. Regular group meetings and individualized support with the help of self-selected sponsors promote participants' sobriety as they work through the 12 steps, gaining insight into their addiction, taking responsibility for their life choices, and releasing control over that which is uncontrollable.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

My experience at Centered has been a journey. When I first entered, I was less than thrilled to be there. I was extremely frustrated with myself because I could not understand why I could not change my behavior when I already knew what the problem was. But through support, guidance, and encouragement from the team at Centered. I gained the tools and knowledge needed to help me take the steps to correct years of trauma and negativity. What stood out most to me was the program’s Holistic approach. They focused not only on personal growth and accountability, but also on overall wellness, mindset, emotional well-being, and building healthy habits for everyday life. The environment was welcoming, supportive, and genuinely centered on helping people become the best version of themselves. The staff truly cared about my journey and treated me with compassion and respect every step of the way. I especially want to thank Reed, Krista, and Jennifer who believed in me from the beginning and helped me get into the program. Their support made a lasting impact on my life. While I still continue to grow every day, I can honestly say I am not the same person who walked through the doors when I started. I am grateful for everything this program has done for me and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for support, structure, and positive life changes.

Centered has been one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve had. No other program has ever taught me the level of mindfulness, emotional regulation, and mental awareness that I gained here. The work done in this program goes far beyond what I expected — it truly challenges you to rewire the way you think, react, and experience everyday life. Through this process, I found a sense of freedom, peace, and clarity that I did not realize was possible. The concepts taught here are not only helpful during difficult seasons of life, but are applicable to everyday stress, relationships, and personal growth. In many ways, I believe everyone could benefit from learning these skills, because we all face moments where our thoughts and emotions can take over if we don’t know how to manage them. For example, before coming to Centered, something as simple as spilling coffee on myself while running late could affect my mood for the entire day. That one moment would set the tone for everything that followed. Now, I’m able to pause, take a breath, and move forward without letting the situation turn into unnecessary suffering. Life will always bring challenges, but this program taught me that we can change the way our mind responds to them. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and for the tools I will carry with me long-term. The skills taught here are truly valuable for anyone looking to live with more awareness, balance, and peace.

Response from the owner
NAT! This review is amazing! Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed experience. We’re grateful you trusted Centered as part of your journey toward greater awareness, balance, and lasting change.
It means a lot to hear how the program supported growth in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and mental clarity. These are core skills we focus on in our outpatient mental health and addiction recovery programs, because they directly impact how people respond to stress, relationships, and everyday challenges. Your example about shifting your response in stressful moments captures exactly what our work is about--creating space to respond with intention instead of reacting automatically.
At Centered, we integrate evidence-based approaches like mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP), cognitive behavioral strategies, and nervous system regulation to help individuals build sustainable coping skills. Our goal is not just short-term relief, but long-term resilience and meaningful personal growth that extends beyond treatment into daily life.
We’re honored to have been part of your experience and appreciate you highlighting how these tools continue to support you. We wish you continued clarity, peace, and strength moving forward and hope you know you're always welcome at Centered!

Centered Recovery has a special place in my heart and healing journey. The lessons I learned here… the self awareness I began building… the support from the beautiful employees…. All of it! Response from the owner
Hi Soleil! Thank you for sharing this! It means a great deal to know Centered Recovery has been a meaningful part of your healing journey.
We’re especially grateful you spoke to the impact of building self-awareness and feeling supported by our team. In outpatient mental health and addiction treatment, those two elements, clinical skill-building and genuine human connection, are what make lasting change possible. Our approach is designed to go beyond traditional treatment by integrating mindfulness, emotional regulation, and evidence-based practices that help individuals better understand themselves and create sustainable growth.
We also recognize that many people come to us after trying other programs, and it’s not something we take lightly when someone says this experience felt different. Our goal is to provide a space where people feel supported, challenged, and equipped with tools they can carry into everyday life long after treatment ends.
We’re honored to have been part of your process and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Wishing you continued growth, stability, and clarity moving forward.
