I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. The podiatrist at Trinka David Clinic listened to my concerns and set me up for further testing. It turns out that I had a fractured bone and a torn tendon (that I ended up losing due to the 5 year wait) and received surgery as soon as it was possible (I had to wait another year due to COVID-19). Thru out my years I've had at least a handful of counselors. It is hard at times to completely open up when there's been soo many. My counselor now, Frances, is amazing! Definitely one of my top favorites. There's been a ton of nurses. Some good, some NOT. Reading the other reviews I see alot of people blaming the CLINIC for their shortcomings if YOU do the right thing, if YOU dp the next right thing then u won't have these problems!! What YOU put in to ur treatment is exactly what u get out of YOUR treatment! I can't say enough GOOD things about this place. I'm sure I'll be a "Methadone lifer" and I'm ok with that. It sure beats the alternative!aptly I see alot of people complain about the price. My insurance finally pays for my meds but for years, I paid. $15/day is sure cheaper then buying off the street. Alex Geraneo 3 months ago As an alumni of the breakthru house I can speak on them for days. This place taught me to crawl after I fell flat on my face in life. The love and support from the staff there is beyond amazing. There is an anointing on everyone that works there! You can feel it in the air the second you arrive. I was mandated there by the court so the officers delivered me to them. They would not allow me to enter still in shackles. That moment changed everything for me. I was finally free! The staff there taught me how to remain free of those shackles and I am forever grateful for the help they freely gave with no expectations in return other than my success.
