I've been coming here over 2 years now, with their help. They have helped me in many more ways than prescribing methadone. They also have certified peers to speak with about anything you may not feel comfortable telling your counselor yet. For the first time in 2 decades, I can truthfully say I am happy to be alive. I could not recommend the program more highly. The staff, especially Beth and Taylor, were kind and competent and did everything they could to ensure a safe and supportive environment. I have been to 3 different clinics over the course of many years and by far this has been the most pleasant experience so far. The people from the owner to the councolers to the woman that checks you in have all been a breeze to work with. I have never felt judged or shamed regardless of how I presented as long as you are respectful and are trying to do the next right thing they will bend over backwards to help you succeed in your sobriety. Bambi, Hayden and Adriana are fantastic non judgmental councillors and will keep it real with you as long as you are real with them. They will work with you on payments as long as you are honest and do what you say your going to do when you say your going to do it. 10/10 would recommend and have to several people I know are still struggling. As the legal guardian of my adult daughter, it has been difficult finding the right help that i am comfortable with to help her on her road to recovery but my recent experience with Ridgeview institute Monroe has been a positive one. I spoke with several behavioral therapists to get an update on my daughter, and they were all very professional, but Coresa Thomas took her duty of care to a higher level that I did not expect. She literally went above and beyond what I think is normal considering her workload to explore every possible resource and placement option for my daughter, maintaining consistent communication with me and acting as a true advocate for our family. And she is a great listener with relevant questions and encouraging responses. She said she would call me back with an update, and that is exactly what she did. It is impressive that she can manage her workload especially considering I am sure there are many more cases like my daughter that she is handling and my family recognizes that she, including the rest of the team, does not have an easy job and we appreciate everything that you do especially in today's world. In addition, she helped manage the process to place my daughter at a different provider for continuation of care and this took a load off of us because we interviewed several providers and got the run around - so I would imagine Coresa and her team had to do the same thing. She did not ask for a review, which is surprising, so I took it upon myself to ask her if it was ok for me to write a review on her level of services. My experience with Coresa at Ridgeview Institute Monroe should be written up as a "best practice" for other providers / institutions to follow as a standard of duty of care for working with those of behavioral and mental health challenges. Navigating behavioral health challenges for a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences a parent can face. From the moment I began working with Coresa, her professionalism and heart shone through. In healthcare, it is rare to find someone who not only performs their job with exceptional competence but also brings profound empathy to every interaction. Coresa’s tireless efforts, transparency, and genuine care have given me and my daughter's mom a tremendous peace of mind during a critical time. She represents the absolute best of Ridgeview Monroe Acute Behavioral Hospital. It is a great relief that my daughter is safe, in good care, and that I have found a compassionate advocate in Coresa.
