I had to come into town due to my mom passing away. This place helped me so Much. Other places wouldn't even take me since I was from out of state. They knew why I was here...it being such a horrible thing and how this sort of thing makes an easy recipe for relapse. Yet, still other places sent me away. Crossroads took me in and helped me stay safe and sober. I'm so very thankful for their help. I got in and got my meds very quickly. It wasn't even a long wait. This place..is sincerely a life saver. The staff was so polite and professional. Thank you all so much!!!

After 4 or 5 failed attempts to stop abusing alcohol I wound up at MARR. The day after my 50th birthday. I was extremely upset and disappointed with myself. But something told me that I belonged there. And I made the best decision of my life. To stay there.
I stayed for the mandatory 3 months and then an extra four more.
Not only did I learn to stop drinking and live life without alcohol, but I leather be an adult. To ask for help. And most importantly I learned that I was not alone in my life or my journey.
Wonderful place with great staff. You may not know it or believe it but this place is the BEST chance you have at getting sober and learning how to live a good life. Period.

My time at MARR has fundamentally changed my life. I have a strong foundation in sobriety, many coping tools in my toolbox and a large network of sober men and women who I will forever call friends. I especially love the Professionals Program (ARP) where I participated in Mirror Image classes, working with peers who had overcome their addiction and achieved the life I wanted to be living. I really appreciate the workers at this hospital. They are kind, accomodating and respectful. I didn't feel condescended to, nor treated like less of a human being. I felt that the workers set a tone of respect and dignity and support on the unit. The groups were awesome and very well facilitated. I felt like they weren't just there for a paycheck, that they actually cared about doing a good job. I would definitely go back there if I ever need mental health inpatient care.

It was a safe place during my most suicidal years. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. When life feels so out of control, small things like that can go a long way

I came to this center after a traumatic experience. These people made me whole again. I cannot say how much this place meant to me the 4 months I was there. Caring nurses, wonderful doctors and a cook who knew how to make hospital food palatable. I cannot recommend this place more!

Purple is an amazing place. This program has helped me completely turn my life around. The staff at Purple is nothing short of fantastic. Everyone there genuinely cares about each and everyones recovery and helps them however they can. The program they run is unlike any other, it's very active and helps guys learn how to have fun sober again. They offer great one on one therapy sessions that are very engaging. If anyone reading this is on the fence about where they should go for their recovery, look no further. This is the place.

Currently changing my life for the better. I am 130 days sober. I extended my stay after checking myself in to Purple (my second rehab). I decided to stay 6 months because after learning how to live sober I started learning how to be a better man, father, partner, and believer. I have always been treated with respect and have had wonderful care at the Shepherd Center.
Everyone is very knowledgeable and listen to any concerns or questions I may have.
Having PPS it is important to me that most everyone is knowledgeable about Polio and PPS and how it can affect my life.
I love the accessibility at Shepherd and wish everyone would realize how important accessibility is to someone who uses a power chair and everyone who uses other tools for life for their disability.
I Hope and pray that one day everyone in our world will understand that accessibility is needed everywhere! Though we may have a disability we are people who love life, want to be respected and love to be independent as much as possible.

Honest rating of overall facility.
This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped.

Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting.
David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes.
Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories!
Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients.
Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist.
Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice.
Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist.
Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks.
Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them!
Overall, I think the staff is awesome!
Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case.

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

I celebrated 2 years sober Nov 3rd. The staff are there to help if you willing to work. Facilities are clean and comfortable. They have Dr's and counselors available always.
The food is good. They just need to let guests have better access to food.

The Marietta Campus is a very safe environment. The Director Tracie and his guest service Von makes you feel comfortable. They both are caring, supportive, honest, very concerned about everyone. Im currently a client on methadone that has moved from Ca. to Ga. It was spur of the moment with no time to make arrangements. I spoke with ERIC on Healthqwests csr dept based on New Jersey. Fyi. Ive been in tech supt, customer service, Quality Assurance & M.I.S. For over 30 yrs Ive worn a headset and have been helping customers. Ive ALWAYS gone above and beyond to help, which is why I can say that ERIC assessed my dilemma for what it was and did his best to move Heaven and earth for me to get me the help i needed 2 days ago. He had an entire queue to help and he took my case as personal as was needed to help me. Moving here I have to change my Medicaid to Ga. which is NOT ez or quick. And I, having heart disease and 5 stents in my heart from 2 heart attacks. Short version of of i didn't get help and go into withdrawl the strain on my heart would no doubt KILL me. The man devoted most of his day trying to get my situation straightened out. Im detailing this because I want you to know this was the BEST service ive ever received in my 60 plus years on this planet, and it happened when my literal life was on the line. Healthqwest cant be beat if you want genuine effort with your help. The prices are competitive but you can't go wrong using them.
Ill answer any question or comment too. The medication I take is no joke. I take it for a broken back I got when I was year ended on my motorcycle at a red light. I take it for Pain mgmt.
Its a serious subject and serious things happen with it....and more without it. Id be crippled, so you can see the magnitude of my plight.

So far it has been good I recently transferred in from another clinic they were very helpful the only thing I do not like is all medicaid recipients have to video call daily to take the dose in front of a nurse or else we are not covered by medicaid for that day. Which is a medicaid thing but thats the only difference from my last clinic

I graduated from the carter treatment center today.
I completed the PHP/IOP program and have 195 days sober now. I will be staying for aftercare to continue to work and focus on my recovery.
This program gave me the accountability and tools to be successful and live a life without drugs and alcohol. I am very grateful for the opportunity to come here and all the staff that was supportive and were a big part in my journey.

The people at sunrise probably saved my life. I had been binge drinking and hiding vodka throughout the house for years before I went there. I had gone to many therapists, AA meetings, etc. Everyone there is going through the same struggle and, therefore, no one is judgemental at all. One therapist in particular went above and beyond, and I can't thank him enough. Christian not only took the time to talk to me hours after he was supposed to leave, but he called all of his colleagues to find the perfect fit for me after my detox. I've always been timid talking in groups, but he found a 15 person women's only rehab facility and it was the perfect fit. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The people at sunrise actually listen to you and truly want what's best for you.

There is definitely a process in order to become an established patient, but once you take care of all that this is an amazing organization staffed with individuals who show up to help people in need. My therapist is Gabby and psych is Dr. Hill, both exemplary human beings! They are down to Earth, real people who care. The front desk ladies are soooo kind and the pharmacist greets you with an understanding smile. If you need help, these human beings are here to do just that. Situations can be frustrating in life. Scheduling can be cumbersome at times if you stay busy. But the bottom line is, these people WILL HELP YOU. They saved my life.

My wife was flown in to the hospital from Stephen’s County hospital because as SCH said MGMC resources are more extensive. My wife was a hairs breath from death. A team of doctors, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center took her case , operated and took care of her heart problems that had just manifested itself while at SCH. These skilled doctors saved her life and restored her health.
I am very grateful to the team of doctors and nurses that kept watch over her for the whole time she was there, four weeks mostly in ICU.
In my opinion this is the place to go for fast, efficient and empathetic care.
I thank each one on the team and those that helped them with their work.

I can not say enough good things about this hospital and the staff. My dear friend Pablo unfortunately passed away on the hospice floor but was in patient many time on the 5 floor green tower. The staff and doctors could not have treated him and his family with more respect. This hospital was a true blessing and will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He was from Dublin,Ga and wanted to always go back to Gainesville for in hospital care. I wish i could name each person by name but they know who they are. Thanks for the love and respect that this hospital showed to us. This is a 10/10 hospital.

- when calling to make an appointment, please be as thorough as possible with customer service on the line especially if you have never been in have them explained the process thoroughly.
- if you have already been tested for HIV/STI’s you WILL need to be tested all over again here for their records. (Even with results from other labs)
I waited until 3 for my appointment & almost walked out. The manager came out and walked me back and asked me to explain the situation. He was apologetic and I gave him feedback and let him know this could have been prevented with better customer service on the phone. (I explained that I knew it wasn’t his department nor the 2 ladies responsibilities.) the manager, nurses, and lab techs were very helpful, appreciative, and even stayed about an hour past 5 pm (when they close) to make sure I was take care of.
I thank the receptionists, manager, nurse, & lab tech for ensuring the VERY long wait time was rectified and I was taken care of.
If not for them, this easily would have been a 1 star review. Customer service/the call center representative (when you call) needs to be worked on if not entirely revamped.

Extremely impressed with how well my big brother is doing in this program!!! He’s been to a handful of rehabs and I’ve never seen him be as successful as he is at this one. I was at this program when it first hit ground in 2000 in Stone Mountain/Clarkston Ga. Right Side Up was the best thing that happened to me. I wasn’t able to bring all 5 of my kids my 2 oldest was with my dad and Aunt. I was able to bond with them every other weekend. Right Side Up taught me A lot about my addiction. I had been struggling with crack cocaine for 14 years, I’m so grateful for this program because I would not be who I am today and that’s Free From Drugs and Alcohol.
