I have been learning to live with a horrible disease that can only be treated and never cured. I love Mrs. Burnadette. Excuse my spelling mistakes. I have no clue how to spell anything anymore. She works the front desk and she is excellent at it. Then there s Ms. Ava she is wonderful. She doesn t judge me at all for any changes in my vitals. She asks me about my mental pain and my health problems. She s very understanding but she s stern about skipping doses of medicine and waiting till I m empty to order a refill especially if it s the last one and they have to call Dr.Patel. To get an ok and it may take a couple days. That s a very big No No. I absolutely love Dr.Patel. He listens to me and wants me to know that he cares about my illness and he wants to help me learn and put to work some coping skills for my life. Things are not the same and I m going to have to learn how to live in my own way and learn how to be happy again. I am so happy to have such an amazing doctor that is trying to help me find a way to get happy in my new life. I trust everything he says and hopefully he will always be my doctor. and friend!

In my experience they do everything they can with limited funding. There actually is a lot of red tape when it comes to Medicaid, Medicare, the rights of an individual. It's a part of the Alabama Department of Mental Health.On Mondays they are available for any new intakes. There are three offices in each county - Cherokee, Etowah, DeKalb (C.E.D.) And, I believe Etowah would be the more convoluted of the three since Etowah has a much larger population than Cherokee and Dekalb.I imagine that when an emergency/crisis arises they have to drop everything and focus on those people that are on the verge of harming themselves and/or others. I can also imagine these emergencies can happen at a moment's notice and it may not be only one at a given time.That one office in Attalla serving for Etowah is providing mental health services to area with a population of over 100,000 people.

To start, I am someone who has to live everyday by working to manage my several diagnoses... I will always need psychiatric medication and that's ok!I was facing new and extreme insurance issues that prevented me from getting very important psychiatric medication that I've been on for years. They picked me up and took me to my appts and worked with the insurance company for months until they got my medicine covered! I also felt I wasn't heard during my psych eval and felt I had an additional diagnosis. After a year of therapy and psychiatrist appts, they did amend my diagnosis..they listened to me and had evidence to back their diagnosis. They did right by me. Sarah Dettweiler is the psychiatrist I have been seeing and she's very good at what she does..she's calm and very nice..not intimidating and listens! Brenda..I had an episode at her when I was waiting for my medicine and this sweet lady was always very very nice. Also I had a few counselors I wasn't happy with and they switched me to Brittany...she's truly the best I've ever had. I feel my care is safe in their hands and I trust them!

I had an extremely abusive childhood. It takes a lot for me to learn to open up. I d been hospitalized over 20 times in 3 years for hurting myself.I never thought I d be able to get even slightly better. I was told I was going to live in a facility for the mentally ill and disabled. But i have one last try here!I m harm free for over a year! I have job, car, and house. I ve succeeded. I wanted to take the time out , and just say the staff is amazing here at new seasons in ( Fort Oglethorpe) of course!! There is so much to brag about and so many people that work here that need recognition.. I do want to shout out to Robbie!! He's amazing , such a kinda soul, and he has done so much to the building! ( I honestly think he's a secret interior decorator) It's like a super power he has ,, oh and Thank you for the new water machine !!! I love you for that . Everyone there is welcoming with no kinda judgement torwds you, they try to help in everyway possible.. they all have a part to play u got the office people like Amanda, she's great very kind . Polite, and always has time to talk or explain things if u have questions. She's really good about answering them or figuring out the answer.. then u got the counselors mine in particular is the best .. I am biased tho ..lol . Naw there all great . Mines just the best and then you have the beautiful lady's up front , when you come in to dose there always welcoming !! Never bitter .. all in all it's been a pretty cool experience though this part of my recovery.. I'm very blessed to have been accepted to work the program here . Edit: April 2025 - They have finally gotten enough dosing nurses in the past few months so i felt it was fair to update my review and score. The other update is that Alicia is no longer my counselor. It has been Kimberly for at least 2 years now and she is Amazing! With that said ive left the original review as is for anyone to read.The bad rating is for whoever runs the company.Heres why: The employees are great. With maybe one or two exceptions everyone who works there does a GREAT job. From Joy at the cash office to Jen doing all purpose everything, to Alicia counseling, to Dr. Adeshina, to the dosing nurses. Sadly there are only 3 dosing nurses now. 4 when they pull someone back thats transitioning to counselor.There needs to be AT LEAST 4 dosing nurses a day if not 5. Also each counselor has at least 60 patients. I was told one has 80 now.It costs 13 a day for medicine. Thats 364 per month. Since there are 10 counselors if not more that means there are 600 patients at a minimum. Do the math 600 multiplied by 364. Thats 2.6 million a year, on the low end, in revenue.The employees need to be paid more! If they were it wouldnt be constantly short of dosing nurses. It seems like half of the ones hired dont even stay for s year. Some just walk out on the place. There should be more counselors as well.Whoever owns the place can afford to pay more. Since the owners dont even work there just collect money from the workers. Since capitalism is basically a pyramid scheme but thats for another time and place.Most of us patients would even gladly pay more money if it meant getting and keeping more employees.Its not convenient to have to spend an hour and twenty minutes to dose like today. Or even a half hour to 45 minutes most other days.Get it together owners of crossroads. If you dont people will leave and wont come back. There are plenty of other options now and outside of volunteer clinic they are all better. At least as far as how much time you have to spend there.Its not hard. Ive been to another state where you are never there more than 5 minutes. You pay weekly so its no daily line there. They call ur number to one of 3 dosing windows 5 feet away thru a door. The dosing nurses asks your social and last name and then hands you a cup of your dose and you leave.Get it fixed soon. Your patients deserve it and your workers are amazing and over worked and deserve better pay.

I am so grateful for crossroads. I moved to Chattanooga for a job opportunity and I decided to go to crossroads as I had 6 yrs in recovery on suboxone but It got to where I couldn t afford the doctor and the medication. When I started i crossroads I was ready to make real change and work on my self and all of my issues that caused me to use. Little by little I started to feel like me but a better me. After about 2 months in treatment I started a small construction business. Knowing absolutely nothing about it but I succeeded and became very successful. I start making really good money and I expressed to my counselor that if I had been in control of that amount of money I would have been dead but instead I became responsible I started paying bills and doing things that I had dreamed of being able to do but was never quite able too. Crossroads has helped me have a whole new life an amazing life. I started making Amends to everyone I had hurt unless it would have caused more harm. One by one I fixed relationships that had been broken for 15-16 years. I am so thankful for crossroads. I have never been able to talk to counselors without feeling judged or embarrassed but here I was able to open up and talk about everything. This place is amazing. I have never met people that where actually in this line of work to help but they are. And joy, Jenn, the doc , the nurses and counselors they all make it possible. 10 out of 10 for sure and I recommend them to anyone I come in contact with that needs help. My husband passed away unexpectedly January 4th of 2024 and my counselor helped me through it to the best of her ability. Before I came here had that happened I would have totally relapsed and given up on life. I ll stop going on but they are amazing.

My experience at this place has been good but be mindful that most counselors are great but there are a couple there that really do not seem to care so if your gut tells you early on that you should get a new one defiantly do that and always pray ask for guidance and strength for the Heavenly Father is always there for each of us. They helped me get medicated and into a good place mentally after i was in a very dark place. They don't force you to do anything you don't want to do. Just got home from that facility. For me that was a Vacation house just relaxing and playing amd always have snacks in the area.I just finished my puzzle Work that has 1,000pcs in 5days. I asked other nurse to take picture as a remembrance but they dont want coz they said its not allowed but 1 Nurse was so nice and friendly to me and grant my request . I like Her. Yes they are nice there they treat you good but i was expecting like this nurse or tech(doesnt need to be a doctor) or anyone works there are gonna talk to you face to face everyday to listen and help you mentally. But they are not. Only doctors ask me how am i but was a fast talk.So it was like rather a patient to patient talk. U know people having mental problem is listening to other patients also with mental problem just weird but it helps somehow.Enjoying playing card UNO with co-Patients was fun! I made friends, been a while since i talked alot with people outside the house and it feels good. Just 4stars bcoz nurse or techs didnt rely the message to each other about the food that is reserved for me. They gave me different food and i was pissed off. 1/26/25But i still want to go back there. I prefer to stay there than the house here.

New to the facility. Counselor Janet is great. Very professional and caring. NP karen brazzle seems to be a good nurse practitioner. Seemed to really want to help. For people like me who are seriously struggling with life, she seemed to care. And wants to help.EDIT 8-14-24I've been seeing Karen Brazzle for approx 3 years now. I have nothing but good things to say. I don't know how to explain her in a few words, so I'll do my best. Kind, caring, knowledge, passionate, and will take the time needed. Im not the type to visit a place like this, much less stay. But I'm over 3 years. The staff is nice and hospitable, as much as they can be. Scheduling has never been an issue. I use the in house pharmacy Genoa. I've decided to come off most, but they were always ready for pick up and we're offered to be shipped. I can't promise you'll get assigned Karen, and I have t encountered any other practicioners. They do exclusively telehealth, so if that's a problem for you. I believe their counseling is done in house, and can't comment on those staff. If you're struggling and need help, the low rating that is shown hasn't at all been my experience. The Ft. Oglethorpe location has been essential for my mental health well-being! Everyone from the front desk, nurses, and pharmacy are always so nice, and unbelievably helpful! I highly recommend!!

Visits went well. Good clean office and outside areas clean Bathrooms clean. Friendly staff. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star is telehealth. There is nothing like having a human actually talking to you instead of a computer screen. My little one has downs syndrome and can not understand why we have to talk to a tv. 3-2023 Visits are going better, getting used to her Dr. not being in person. Opening up more. Starting to talk to her more and answer more questions instead of me having to do all the talking.

The person I took to this facility DID NOT want to go but he needed help so he dealt with it, and he was glad he did by the time he was released. The counselors were knowledgeable and guided them from experience instead of preaching about things they had no clue about.
