She genuinely cares and I can guarantee doesn’t forget a woman who walks through those doors. The staff is genuine and only wants to see more people overcome the grips of addiction. And let me just say it is truly beautiful on the other side! I was scared and near death but I kept going back to try for recovery each time. I hope a woman sees this and realizes it’s possible and takes the step and calls!!! I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. The cleanness was good, the library selection was amazing, the cable TV, the welcoming sense of coumenty, the rooms, the gym, the snacks. All in all this place was just a good place that even had a blanket warmer. The only negative is that the shower water is cold but other than that it is the best. John Hodgson 3 months ago I came in to get a neurologist to see me in patient because my concussion caused my anxiety and depression get worse. This place needs a 4.5 rating not the low rating it has. This was the nicest hospital I've EVER stayed in besides the one in Florida where I had to go after my mother died. But I do think a few things need tweaks such as how they manage medication. Every hospital I've stayed in their medication handout was better we would line up and I had zero issues getting my meds on time. Yes I understand it was the weekend and things run slower but dear God some people like me need to get their meds on time. They had issues verifying my wellbutrin and metoprolol. Guys to make sure to not have them call your pharmacy for doses write down your meds and doses or bring the bottles. That was may fault on that I wasn't sure if they'd admit me so I didn't do that before hand. Besides that it was fine I have a vegan diet for health reasons and they were able to accommodate that for me but make sure you let them know your diet. The nurses and doctors care for you I've seen it. I saw my doctor every day I was in there without fail. Just don't go on the weekends so things aren't slower. They probably saved my life. Just be up front and honest about everything and let them make it work. It is the attitude of the staff and the level of comfort I feel when I go there that has made it so easy to continue going and stay on this path. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I continue to go weekly instead of going down to less appointments each month. The point is if you need a service that they offer here, do yourself a favor and at least come check it out. If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to give me a shout. I have contacted everyone even Volunteer Behavioral Health and they said Murfreesboro, I have over ten years of sobriety from street drugs and alcahol and I just think it is a shame that Gallatin Tennessee has no options, I would be willing to pick up patients for appointments or do whatever anyone needs help with, I could visit patients struggling with addiction or mental issues! I know now why not many people get their peer recovery certification now because it is so hard to find volunteering options! I think it is shameful, but at least you offer it in Madison so thank you but it just seems my story and my willingness to help other's could somehow help at the Gallatin location as well! The staff now is much more caring than when I first started. Without them, I would probably be dead. I have been able to go on several vacations, do things with my family I wasn't able to do while on drugs, and enrolled in college to obtain my Associates Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. I send everyone I can there, and the ones that want to change have thanked me for sending them. If you truly want to get clean, they will help you.
