About Threshold Recovery

Threshold Recovery operates a network of sober living homes in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. They offer residences for adult men and women, with a goal of helping clients overcome substance use disorder (SUD) and reclaim their quality of life.

Sober living can be intimidating for some people. That’s why Threshold Recovery gives their residents the opportunity to equip themselves with the tools they need to maintain lasting sobriety. Their 11 facilities provide addiction treatment for different demographics, including separate homes for men, women, and veterans. These sober living homes are all in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just a short distance from Nashville.

Threshold Recover offers full sized beds, computer access, cable TV and wifi access and stainless steel appliances. Their homes seem charming and cozy. All of the residences feature community-style living, which means that residents will share central common areas as well as a kitchen.

Residents participate in 12 Step meetings and therapy sessions throughout their stay, along with weekly accountability meetings. Their homes offer easy accessibility to public transportation and grocery shopping. Each room is shared by up to three people but you can request your own private room after you’ve lived there for a while.

After you’ve stayed in the program for 30 days and completed the first phase of your care then you can request a pass to visit your loved ones back home. Their goal is to keep you as safe and stable as possible to help you create a foundation for long-term recovery.

Former residents praise Threshold Recovery, saying the program changed their lives and gave them a sense of community while they transitioned out of rehab and back into their ordinary daily lives.

Great place for structure and guidance. Works with you to better your recovery in every area in order for you to succeed. All aspects of life are welcome... probation/parolees, veterans, different ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Do your part (pay rent, go to meetings, get a sponsor, chores, etc.), be open to suggestions, and be willing, is all that's asked. Godspeed, wherever you go! There's a better life waiting for you!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Men and women in Tennessee undergoing one on one individual therapy sessions focus on understanding their unique needs and challenges. They do this under the guidance of an experienced therapist who can help you identify and address addiction triggers as well as create personalized relapse prevention plans. This offers you a customized path to a successful recovery journey.

In Tennessee, group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction typically involve skill development to help you learn communication techniques and relapse prevention strategies. These strategies support your transition into the community and help you maintain long term sobriety.

Threshold recovery when I first came to threshold recovery I wasn't sure where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do I know I needed a place with rules guidelines for I was stuck my ways and as I've been in threshold recovery I had unlocked New heights with my spiritual self my mental barriers for threshold will give you rules guidelines suggestions so that way we can achieve all that we have had thought about set of minds to before and just didn't know how to take the right steps to do so even though they have rules about paying your bills cleaning the house making meetings all these rules are only suggestions you don't have to be in threshold recovery but you also don't have to be in an addiction addiction is only going to keep you stagnant threshold can give you a new life new hopes new dreams and that you may have days where you want to go back to your old self your old ways but being in threshold recovery you can also have a new family new brotherhood make new bonds to rely on people talk to people about your problems and doing all those things you can find that self-satisfaction I'm not being alone that you're not so much different than everybody else at least that's what I have found for myself or I won't say I was never going to be able to find peace and I was most definitely wrong. As I continue to stay in the threshold program lean on my brother is there and let them lean back on me when they need it I have found myself again I have accomplished goals I never thought I'd be able to I have remained in good ways in my higher power and sobriety and I just suggest if anybody is looking to better themselves they will join threshold recovery.

Joining the group at Threshold was a life changing decision for me, I was terrified at first because I didn’t understand fully what recovery meant or if I was even ready for such a change. But now looking back I can only wish id have done it sooner. Recovery isn’t always easy but here at Threshold you have a tremendous group of like minded men all working together and helping each other to reach their full potential. With great leadership, and mentors the guys here at Threshold are changing lives and giving us men the tools to stay clean and live sober. Thanks Shannon

Dont go there. You can not trust them. They tried to get me arrested because I left. I previously left a positive review here because Matt asked me to post one and I truly did have a positive opinion at that point. However, six months later my opinion is not the same. I recently was asked to move to a different threshold property. I chose instead to leave. So threshold spitefully lied and sent a report to my parole officer saying I failed a drug screen that I never even took to put me under a spotlight with my PO. I could go into the culture and lack of recovery environment that made me decide to leave for a better option but those are simply opinions. What I say above is indisputable fact. I left so they lied to try and cause me problems. People in early recovery need a safe place with people they can trust. This is not that. ——— Your immature response shows exactly what’s wrong with that place. You personally attack me with half truths in an entirely unprofessional manner for someone ‘working in recovery’ . I could have that placed shut down for the illegal and unethical practices but I won’t go into personal attacks and throw your business out there. The hard truth that can not be denied is : Unsolicited, you lied to my PO and said I failed a drug test after I moved out. That’s the bottom line. I never failed a drug test. You reached out to my PO and said I did. Those are the facts. Between that and your spiteful response right here further revealing your character for everyone to see, it’s obvious this is not a good, safe, serene place for someone in early recovery. Stay far away folks. I literally admitted to using in an onsite 12 step meeting. Anonymity and all that. You forget that part?. Not only did you betray the entire foundation of the 12 step program by telling a lie to my PO but you then discuss things in a public forum that are not to be discussed outside of the group. By doing so , you prove my point better than I could. Thanks.

Response from the owner
We are sorry you feel this way, it’s not an accurate review; But we will accept that is the way you feel.

You were asked to move because you admitted to using drugs, instead of being asked to move out and further disturb your life. We showed you grace and believed in you. You decided to move out because you couldn’t have your “3 computer screens”

You used drugs and were given grace, no good deed goes unpunished

Threshold wants you to be successful and letting you stay in the same property, writing code and doing meth is not what is good for you.

Thank you and god bless
