After my treatment I was released to Bradford Health Services for "intensive outpatient" classes. Allison Neal and Melissa Wisdom are 2 employees at this facility. I have to say that they show more care and gave more help to me, than anyone in my entire recovery. They truly blessed my walk. And if it wasn't for them, I would have relapsed a couple of times. I've referred 3 people who are still in treatment and was referred from someone who'd been there for years. Mrs. Neely is, by far, the most genuine, compassionate people I've ever come across. Her job is not a job to her .. it's her calling and her passion is helping people. She understands that addiction is life and death and takes every concern and issue seriously. I've been less than a model patient and she has stood by me and pushed me to be a better me week after week. She's truly a blessing. Ms. Amy is my counselor and she's so precious. I'm able to be totally honest with her and feel comfortable coming to her with anything, knowing I will be understood instead of judged. The dosing staff are all attentive and make you feel welcome and try to get you in and out quickly as possible. And last but definitely not least, Mrs. Gayle at the front desk is the bees knees.. she's helped me sort thru insurance issues and helped me numerous times when I've forgotten something important and keeps my ADHD brain on track w appointments and reminders.. even calling a day before important appointments and reminding me. I truly can't say enough good things about this clinic. This was my first time seeking treatment like this and I was terrified and had no idea what to expect and was blown away at the level of concern and lack of judgement every single time I was less than perfect. I loved how up front she was. I learned alot. I did relapse in 2002 . My youngest son was killed and the emotional support wasn't here where I lived. Instead their was women in AA when I was in the state of shock was giving me zanxas. I wasn't a pill head after a year later I meet a man that drank and smoked pot not going to blame him . I stopped praying and putting my trust in God. Even blamed God so I wasn't spiritually fix to be around it. I stated drinking again . He was killed in 2001. My family that told Ms Jackie they was going to be there to help but they wasn't. They wouldn't babysit so I could work . So I was disappointed in them . I stopped drinking for about 2 years going on 3 now . Im really disappointed in myself just finding out my favorite person I should have went to talk to instead of the women here. I know she would have talked some since in my head. She was a rock and I looked up too her so very much. I won't ho yo AA here anymore. No one to trust at all. I know from time to time the phone doesnt get answered but you will see that anywhere. My health care at this facility gets a 5 STAR PLUS ratings. Receptionists do their job so not being overly friendly does not come into play. The nurse for Dr. Thompson is spot on, friendly, and never fails to ask how I am feeling. I got to know Jesus here even though it is not a faith based program. The people who worked there then were doing it right.
