I’ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I’d go here. I’d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn’t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. With the right medications and some time I got back to normal. The food is good. The staff has to deal with all kinds of people and they do a good job. I give it 4 stars because like I said nowhere’s perfect. No psyc hospital anyway.

Canopy solution great friendly staff ..my granddaughters doing great..and has a lot of positive changes ...with her behavior.. Update Still love bringing my granddaughter here ..it's not only helping her ..it helps me on how to deal with her behavior

I was transferred from hell called MS State hospital to here in October of 2009. My stay lasted until June of 2010. I walked I and thought this place was going to be like the rest. I was wrong. This place saved my life. The third shift were loud and obnoxious and a few of the first and second shift staff were, in my opnion, not meant to be there. The therapist, phychiatrist, "the board", and everything else was different. Most of the people there would go out of there way to help you. The one on one time, walking around outside talking to a trusted staff member, the nurses were amazing and patient, especially Nurse Scott. They helped me obtain my GED. If this place is still the same as is was when I was there, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish they had an adult facility because I need the care this place gave me as a teenager. Plus the food was decent too. They made the place feel somewhat like a home than just a facility, which made treatment easier.

In my opinion this is one of the best VA's I have been to. It surely is one of the prettiest. VA has worked hard to change how they care for veterans and this VA is no exception.

Judith Olson works diligently and efficiently when it comes to her patients, myself included. She assisted me with getting an ASD diagnosis and recommended me to a fantastic therapist.

The attitude of people is too good, the people who are part of this place know what they do and are interested in seeing you better and rehabilitated.

Beacon is a wonderful hospital. The Staff is absolutely wonderful. They genuinely care about you as a patient & as a person. They put their whole heart into helping you to be well again. Just to name a few, Dana, Lorraine, Loreal, Connie, and many others whose names I don't remember, the doctors, NPs, all were kind and helpful in any situation. The best thing that ever happened to me!

I volunteerly sought help with medication. Ì was afraid of what would happen while there. After a couple of days, the other ladies reached out to me and every thing changed for the better. I had lost most of my sight and could only hear very little. The staff was extremely helpful and concerned. I did get my meds adjusted. The support staff were great. I only had a few negative interactions with staff. The worst one was in the day room on Sept 13, 2025 when a female staff member ran across the room and to the TV screaming excessively loud. Most of us had very negative reactions and several went out of the room.

It took a while for me to decide to post a remark, but I felt that I had to say something. I was a patient there last June because of something stupid I did because of the pain I was in because of my back. At first I was very upset and unruly. But after being there for a couple of days I did notice a couple of things that are definitely NOT the faculty's fault. The doctors, nurses & medtechs did the best they could with what they had. These people come in to help, because they care. But the one thing I did notice was that the staff was over-worked, under-staffed, under-appreciated & I don't know, but probably underpaid. They relied on donations, when it came down to certain clothes, shoes & I remember how short they were on pillows. After being discharged, my husband & I donated some items for them to use. The thing that gets me angry is after reading some of these reviews, it has become apparent to me how important that the Gov. steps in and do something about the lack of care there is for mental health. I read in a comment that their loved one was dumped like trash and she had dementia. While there myself and one other person tried to help the medtechs, when they needed some. These people are human beings, NOT TRASH and shouldn't be treated like it, due to the facility being so short staffed. You know, it's a shame we don't learn from the Asians on how they care for their loved ones. But like I said my personal experience taught me a lot about facing my inner demons, while trying to help the medtechs. Here's a thought!!! Maybe if you treated your staff the way that they should be treated, then you would not have so many unhappy family members of the patients.

The nicest most gracious people at GCTC and I can truly say everything they say about making people feel comfortable and accepted is ABSOLOUTELY true! They are amazing people and are helpful informative while making you feel so comforted at the same time...I just can't say enough good about this amazing center and what they do for so many people every day..I HIGHLY recommend GCTC to anyone in need of help with any substance abuse problem, they will get you through any of it and literally give you your life back..they did for me and my father...God bless all the people that work there and helped and continue to help so many people every day!!

Recently was given a new counselor his name is Eric.He has been a game changer..it took a few months for BHG to find their niche but I finally have a counselor that seems like he truly cares about how I am doing & it makes all the difference .He is amazing & the whole staff is a joy to be around..I thank God for these beautiful people..they are heros/life savers & I hope they realize how much they mean to us..without them we would be lost

Applegate literally saved my life.been going there for 2 and half years..but they do need to hurry up with the insurance.....

They DO NOT take healthy blue like the website says. I have been going here for about 4 months now and they just keep saying they are waiting on the paperwork or something. They should really take it down from the website and contact medicaid and let them know they are not taking it cause healthy blue is the one who gave me this doctors info cause they said that they took my insurance but that wasn't the case. Other than that I love applegate recovery and all the employees , everyone is really nice and understanding.
