My experience at msdatc has been a life changing event. I fell in love with all the staff, I mean everybody. Hannah, my therapist, impressed me with how she was able to unravel troubles in my life that i was so deeply holding onto and had let burden me for so long. She helped me in recognizing who I was again by not allowing my past to define me. She helped me find my confidence again, and i am forever grateful for that. It felt good to be able to establish trust and vulnerability so quickly with her. For stina, sharing her story was so inspiring of where she once was and the things she has accomplished. It really helped to understand my own life and my ability to overcome my addiction. I was thankful for all of the peer support here with deidra, wendy, and tray. I could tell they really cared about influencing people's lives in a positive way, and it added to all of the love I felt here from the staff. For Allysa, my case manager, her story was also inspirational and it gave me hope and I was highly impressed with her time management skills and the accomplishments that she's made in her recovery. The nursing staff made me feel safe and taken care of. They comforted me and all of my medical needs. Brooke and Mrs. Kim really impressed me with the way they orchestrated all the meals and i felt the love through mrs. Kim with every meal she made. Brooke also kept things very orderly here. Mari taught me how to stand on boundaries and do it with grace because she definitely stands on business in her own recovery.
The words escape me for my time here because it was THAT meaningful. These are people who have shown up in a way for me that I never believed existed anymore. If I can turn a teardrop into a review, that would be it.

There are moments in life when words simply don’t feel big enough to express the gratitude in your heart. This is one of those moments. This review is nothing if not completely Personal.
Walking through the doors of Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center was one of the most impactful decisions I’ve ever made. At MSDATC I found hope, healing, understanding, and people who reminded me that I was STILL worthy of a better life.
To Stina Jacobs: My Super Hero!!
Thank you for seeing the person behind my pain. I want you know that your compassion, patience, wisdom, and unwavering belief in your patients changed my life in ways I never thought possible! You created a space where I felt safe enough to lower the walls I had spent a lifetime building. You didn’t judge me, and never once gave up on me. You listened closely and challenged me in ways that only the WORLD’s BEST THERAPIST could.
**Pause for Hair Flip**
You opened my eyes and taught me how to love myself unconditionally through every one of my flaws and emotions. You helped me produce what can easily be considered the best version of myself that I’ve ever been. You encouraged like only a mother’s love could/would and most importantly, you helped me believe that healing wasn’t just possible it was something I deserved. I will carry the lessons you’ve taught me for the rest of my life. Stina, you will forever hold a very special place in my heart and life in recovery.
I want to give special recognition thanks to Hannah Harwell.
Hannah, you are such an amazing and fiercely compassionate therapist. Your skills and dedication to your profession are nothing short of pure and divine.
you truly perform miracles through your work and service to your clients. Thanks for all the laughs, positive affirmations and support! I would leave this leave off this post right here but.. Namaste lol!
Share that little pun with Madison💙
Madison: Thank you for being so cool, kind and bad ass!! Hands down the coolest therapist on this side of the Mississippi River haha!
Wildly, Whimsical..
Wowing-ly Wonderful Miss WINDY!!
You will truly be missed as I apply every tool you equipped me with for the wild ride called life! You are adored and appreciated. Thank you for the research and real life work that
YOU DID and that was present in all of your classes and curriculum.
From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all of your support and advice that’s given me this opportunity to have a long and happy life. I can’t wait to one day volunteer with you in the community!
Also my main man Blake!
Blake: Thanks for always keeping me grounded in faith and understanding. You are one hell of a mentor, friend and one of the hardest working men/fathers alive. God bless you and thank you for every little thing you done to help me become a man my daughter and I can both be proud of!
To the nursing staff: Haley, Ms. Sherry, Joy, Arnette, Tiffany Jessica Faith and Most importantly Sweet ol’ Megan aka Meggy better known as Meggars!!
You always had my health, happiness and stretches at heart lol.
And I would be doing a tremendous disservice if I didn’t recognize two very special people:
Brooke (Big Mama!!) and Ms. Kim. What many people may see as “just cooking meals” became something so much more. Every meal I had was prepared with care, consistency, and love. In a season where many of us were rebuilding ourselves one day at a time, your incredible meals became a source of comfort, normalcy, and joy. Thank you for nourishing not only our bodies but also our spirits. Your kindness was felt in every meal you served.
Brooke: YOU ARE WONDERWOMAN!! Thank you for making me feel loved and appreciated. You’re the realest most sincere person I think I’ve ever met and I hope you know that your drive and passion will forever motivate me to give my everything in all I do!!
Google cut my post short so.
May God continue to bless every member of the Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center family. Thank you for giving me one of the greatest gifts I have ever received: a renewed hope for my future.

Incredible Spiritual Boot Camp - In the Best Way!
Wow! If you're serious about getting right with God and yourself, Home of Grace is the place. They say it's like "3 years of church in 90 days," and they aren't kidding! The intensity of the spiritual teachings, the quality of the classes, and the dedication of the teachers and preachers are unparalleled. I learned so much about faith, forgiveness, and God's grace. The beautiful grounds provided a tranquil space for prayer and contemplation, which was so important for my journey. For what they offer – a complete spiritual and personal overhaul – the cost is unbelievably reasonable. My heart is full, and my relationship with the Lord has never been stronger

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stevens and the team at Singing River’s geriatric outpatient clinic. Our family is navigating one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, and the compassion, flexibility, and genuine care we have received from this office have made an enormous difference.
My mother-in-law has dementia and has been declining rapidly. My husband is active-duty military, and we are stationed halfway across the country, which makes trying to understand what is happening, coordinate her care, and make sure she is safe incredibly difficult. At the same time, my own father is battling advanced cancer, so our family has been trying to manage two very serious situations from hundreds of miles away.
We recently made a last-minute trip home to the Gulf Coast when it became clear that we needed to check on my mother-in-law in person. My husband only had two days in town, while I had to be in Florida dealing with an urgent health situation involving my own parent. I called Dr. Stevens’ office, explained what was happening, and asked if there was any possible way they could see my mother-in-law during the very small window my husband was available.
Tonya, Dr. Stevens’ receptionist, could not have been kinder or more accommodating. She understood how difficult our circumstances were and found a way to get my mother-in-law seen while my husband was there. What may have simply looked like fitting another patient onto a schedule meant the world to our family.
The appointment itself only reinforced how fortunate we are to have Dr. Stevens involved in her care. Because I could not physically be there, he allowed me to participate by speakerphone so that my husband, my mother-in-law, Dr. Stevens, and I could all discuss what was happening and formulate a plan together.
What impressed me most was the dignity and respect he showed my mother-in-law throughout the entire visit. It can be very easy for people to unintentionally talk around or infantilize someone with dementia. Dr. Stevens never did that. He spoke directly to her, listened to her, and treated her as the person at the center of her own care, while also recognizing that her cognitive decline requires her family to be increasingly involved. He managed that balance with tremendous compassion and professionalism.
Since then, we have needed a significant amount of documentation and paperwork to arrange care, advocate for her, and make decisions about her safety. Because of her dementia, my mother-in-law cannot reliably remember what is needed or coordinate these things herself. Tonya has been absolutely incredible in helping us navigate all of the administrative pieces that come with a situation like this. When you are already overwhelmed and trying to manage a loved one’s declining health from another state, having someone who is responsive, patient, and willing to help is invaluable.
There is excellent medical care, and then there is the kind of care that makes a family feel like they are not navigating an impossible situation alone. That is what we have received from Dr. Stevens and his staff.
Our circumstances are complicated, stressful, and heartbreaking, and they cannot change that. But they have repeatedly made the parts they can help with easier. They have treated my mother-in-law with dignity, treated our family with compassion, and gone out of their way to help us coordinate her care despite the distance and circumstances.
We are extraordinarily grateful to Dr. Stevens, Tonya, and the entire geriatric outpatient team at Singing River. Families caring for someone with dementia need knowledgeable medical providers, but they also desperately need patience, humanity, communication, and support. This office has given us all of those things, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Hands down one of the best hospital experiences I have had. I have yet to be disappointed by the staff at this location. I had surgery today and everyone was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. They just paid attention and acted without even asking if I needed anything. It’s the little things that make all the difference. This is my second time this year coming here for a procedure and I will continue to choose this location over everywhere else I can go. Huge shoutout to Wendy& Tonya for getting me hooked up and settled in., Ms. Rachel for getting all the things injected and getting me ready to go back and Felicia for making my recovery so easy and comfortable. I appreciate you all! Also, thank you Dr. Ramon Brown for always being the best at what you do!

I’ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I’d go here. I’d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn’t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. With the right medications and some time I got back to normal. The food is good. The staff has to deal with all kinds of people and they do a good job. I give it 4 stars because like I said nowhere’s perfect. No psyc hospital anyway.

I was transferred from hell called MS State hospital to here in October of 2009. My stay lasted until June of 2010. I walked I and thought this place was going to be like the rest. I was wrong. This place saved my life. The third shift were loud and obnoxious and a few of the first and second shift staff were, in my opnion, not meant to be there. The therapist, phychiatrist, "the board", and everything else was different. Most of the people there would go out of there way to help you. The one on one time, walking around outside talking to a trusted staff member, the nurses were amazing and patient, especially Nurse Scott. They helped me obtain my GED. If this place is still the same as is was when I was there, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish they had an adult facility because I need the care this place gave me as a teenager. Plus the food was decent too. They made the place feel somewhat like a home than just a facility, which made treatment easier.

I work construction out of town a lot,so I've been to a few dozen clinics from Philadelphia PA to Jacksonville FL. By far this facility is 10 times more professional, quick responses for whatever reasons. Cleanest facility, friendliest, caring staff I've dealt with. If you've ever had to guest dose before,it can be a nightmare!! Maybe you didn't have any problems, but I have with other clinics. Not this one! They'll make sure you get the best help possible. I would never go anywhere else.WARNING! If you're not serious about sobriety then you may prefer the other dumps. Still give them a call! They saved my life!! I would love to see more of your bhg facilities in the Mississippi area and maybe have a federal guideline on amount of your dosage for guest dosing because I have been places where there was no problem but I've been to several states like Tennessee and I was taking more than their maximum level and I had to wait 2 weeks for a state approval. Of course I was working and it being 6 hours from my hometown I had to go home one day a week until they got it straight. I wouldn't have waited for 2 days in the waitroom thinking everything was going to be fine if someone would have told me or like I said every state be on the same thing or ar least respect the other states that aren't at the same dosage levels. We still have problems and are paying patients for treatment and I was furious after working 2 nights without and set there from 6 until 12 and then be told come back in the morning maybe we will be heard back from them. Communication is really what needs to be done between the states and the different companies policies.

I wasn't sure how my brother would do after getting out of rehab. He has been attending the Mobile Clinic for three months now and is still sober.

Alta Pointe has helped my brother tremendously these past four years. The therapist he had the first time he came helped him so much with giving him tools and so many resources. He had recently gotten a new therapist about a few months ago and she is the absolute best. My brother loves going to her and truly enjoys the work they do in their session. My brother always shares with me the resources and advice he gets from each session and the crafts they do haha. Also, the doctor (Dr. Bray) is a real Godsend. My mom and brother loves her so much. She is always going above and beyond for my brother. Thank you guys from my family and I for everything you do! We truly appreciate the work, every resource, tool, advice you have given him so far. It truly helps him so much.
