I gave one star because that is the lowest score I can give. The "professionals" at Bay View couldn't care less about your mental health. Your money maybe but not your health. I not sure their office personnel even graduated highschool. The Mobile county health department cares more and is better educated to help you.

Do not let this place have access to your mental health. You will regret it, I left a very long review detailing my experience and how I was treated and about some things that happened there. It would not let me post it…… extremely disappointed. Filed a report with my care navigator. Contaminated medication to extreme mistreatment. They do not deserve one star. I would put it in the negative if they offered that choice.

Accepted Insurance

BayView Professional Associates – Mobile works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

A Safe, Healing Space

Leaving my old life felt like falling off a cliff. But here, I felt safe for the first time in years. The women-only setting helped me open up. Staff were kind and really listened. Some things felt a little strict, but I needed structure. I’m learning to trust myself again ... Read More

excellent trauma therapy

I came in carrying a lot. PTSD, addiction, anger... all of it. The clinical team didn’t flinch. EMDR helped more than I expected and some vets in group really got me. The food was just ok, but the care was real. It wasn’t easy, but I left feeling stronger.

There is not enough room here. Husband seen for 18 months. Great doctor. Office staff is terrible. Dr. Was no show for last appt. They sent us a text stating he had new appt 2 months after doctor was no show.Tried to call and have appt changed. Scheduling never answers the phone left detailed messages. No return call. Husband end up missing appt. Supervisor admits my calls were recorded but never returned. They would not return call but the morning after the appt they called at 9 am to tell us he would be seen unless we paid a $200 o show fee. The first person, Caitlin, lied outright asMs. Anderson, her supervisor admitted to. Apparently the whole scheduling dept is inefficient, liars who are a tad bit lazy and literally hate to do the right thing. I was literally told by ms Anderson to take my blue cross insurance and go some else. Too bad it was an VA appt. Not private pay. So now they have effectively refused to treat an disabled vet. Nice Bayview real nice

If i could leave less than 1 star I would. I absolute love Dr Crenshaw, but their office is a joke. Never pick up the phone, I had a telehealth apt and the link was not working so I called to let them know and once they FINALLY did pick up they said it was too late to see me and charged me a 200 dollar cancellation fee. After speaking to a manager and showing her the proof of this and crying because I really needed that money for school, they still refused to fix it. Absolutely ridiculous and in my opinion they stole from me.

Horrible. The therapist I saw, Tina Baker, has a nasty tendency to write off everything I tell her. And on top of that, she recommended that I start going to church. To add more to this, one of the nurses for Dr. Wanda Whitton left me locked in one of the telehealth visit rooms for upwards of thirty minutes after the visit was over. Mind you, I have muscular dystrophy and can't use my hands. That was a traumatic experience for me, which I told Tina about, and she just said "Have the nurse check in on you next time." As if I even could; the nurse was out before I could even tell her to do that. If you're the type to use your card for everything, do not use it here. If you do, they will charge it for no shows. Even if you cancelled your appointment within 24 hours and even if you told them to remove your card info from their database, they will charge $100 without proper authorization. My father and I had to deal with that three consecutive times over the span of a year. Long story short, if you value your time, your money, and your well-being, do not go to Bayview Professional Associates unless you want your mental health and finances to go down the drain.

Response from the owner

Absolutely avoid at all costs. Not only is this place a revolving door for psychiatrists but I found the front desk workers to be incredibly inattentive and rude during the two year period I was a patient here. I went through several psychiatrists which created obstacles for getting my medication on time. I often ended up waiting months to get meds, paperwork and had to call over and over again to get something as simple as an appointment set up. My final straw was when I scheduled a telehealth appointment a month out. During that month period, no one bothered to call me to tell me I would have a new psychiatrist who didn't feel comfortable prescribing me my meds without meeting me in person. After a month had passed, I got into the meeting room only to find my psychiatrist was late. He never arrived. Instead, I got a call from the front desk saying I could still have my appointment but I would not be able to get any refills. At this point, I informed them I'd be seeking a new office. Do yourself a big favor and stay far away, unless you enjoy having your time wasted.

Response from the owner
Conor, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. Your concerns are important to us and will be shared with our team. If you would like to provide anything further – you can send us an email to info@altapointe.org.

My experience here in the past was poor. I started visiting the Fairhope office with much more success about a year ago. However I have been coming back to the Mobile office for the past few weeks, and while I can only speak on the staff I interact with, my experience currently has improved greatly and I have no complaints.

Response from the owner
Kristen, thank you for your thoughtful review. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and will be sure to pass your kind words along to the team.
Thanks so much!
