I was recently in the Gratitude program and can confidently say that it saved my life. I came in hopeless and discouraged with recovery and left with more hope for the future than I thought was possible. I was impressed from the beginning when they gave me a set of workbooks on sex addiction upon arrival. The nature of the program being tailored to sex addiction made it a million times more powerful and effective than either of the dual diagnosis or general addiction treatment programs I'd gone to before. I really appreciated how structured and rigorous it was as the weekly projects and assignments allowed me to go much deeper than I would have been able to without them. The therapists are all phenomenal and are true professionals at what they're doing. Even the interns/externs I worked with were amazing. On top of everything, insurance covered all 75 days I was there. I will be forever grateful for my time at Pine Grove.

Didn't think I needed to be there at first but after speaking to my counselor I was able to understand that I'm still struggling in many aspects of my life. The staff is friendly and helpful as long as you act accordingly and do what's expected of you. I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

My name is Chuck A. and I started my recovery journey at The Estate at River Bend in June 2021. I have remained completely sober for over 5 years. The Estate provided me with the tools to build a solid foundation and to this day I stay connected with Amy and Idice. There are many other people there who played key roles in my recovery as well as our beloved Elvis (the greatest dog ever). I began to change there and started a new way of life. After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me. My experience at msdatc has been a life changing event. I fell in love with all the staff, I mean everybody. Hannah, my therapist, impressed me with how she was able to unravel troubles in my life that i was so deeply holding onto and had let burden me for so long. She helped me in recognizing who I was again by not allowing my past to define me. She helped me find my confidence again, and i am forever grateful for that. It felt good to be able to establish trust and vulnerability so quickly with her. For stina, sharing her story was so inspiring of where she once was and the things she has accomplished. It really helped to understand my own life and my ability to overcome my addiction. I was thankful for all of the peer support here with deidra, wendy, and tray. I could tell they really cared about influencing people's lives in a positive way, and it added to all of the love I felt here from the staff. For Allysa, my case manager, her story was also inspirational and it gave me hope and I was highly impressed with her time management skills and the accomplishments that she's made in her recovery. The nursing staff made me feel safe and taken care of. They comforted me and all of my medical needs. Brooke and Mrs. Kim really impressed me with the way they orchestrated all the meals and i felt the love through mrs. Kim with every meal she made. Brooke also kept things very orderly here. Mari taught me how to stand on boundaries and do it with grace because she definitely stands on business in her own recovery. The words escape me for my time here because it was THAT meaningful. These are people who have shown up in a way for me that I never believed existed anymore. If I can turn a teardrop into a review, that would be it.

I volunteerly sought help with medication. ĂŚ was afraid of what would happen while there. After a couple of days, the other ladies reached out to me and every thing changed for the better. I had lost most of my sight and could only hear very little. The staff was extremely helpful and concerned. I did get my meds adjusted. The support staff were great. I only had a few negative interactions with staff. The worst one was in the day room on Sept 13, 2025 when a female staff member ran across the room and to the TV screaming excessively loud. Most of us had very negative reactions and several went out of the room.

It took a while for me to decide to post a remark, but I felt that I had to say something. I was a patient there last June because of something stupid I did because of the pain I was in because of my back. At first I was very upset and unruly. But after being there for a couple of days I did notice a couple of things that are definitely NOT the faculty's fault. The doctors, nurses & medtechs did the best they could with what they had. These people come in to help, because they care. But the one thing I did notice was that the staff was over-worked, under-staffed, under-appreciated & I don't know, but probably underpaid. They relied on donations, when it came down to certain clothes, shoes & I remember how short they were on pillows. After being discharged, my husband & I donated some items for them to use. The thing that gets me angry is after reading some of these reviews, it has become apparent to me how important that the Gov. steps in and do something about the lack of care there is for mental health. I read in a comment that their loved one was dumped like trash and she had dementia. While there myself and one other person tried to help the medtechs, when they needed some. These people are human beings, NOT TRASH and shouldn't be treated like it, due to the facility being so short staffed. You know, it's a shame we don't learn from the Asians on how they care for their loved ones. But like I said my personal experience taught me a lot about facing my inner demons, while trying to help the medtechs. Here's a thought!!! Maybe if you treated your staff the way that they should be treated, then you would not have so many unhappy family members of the patients.

Our developmentally disabled client was admitted last week. I can’t say enough about how awesome this facility has been. At most past facilities our other clients were in we had such a hard time advocating for them. Beacon has been easy to communicate w all the treatment team. We were included and informed regarding his care plan. They were able to make him feel safe. I’ll be requesting this facility if we ever need an admit for our DD consumers. Thank you Beacon!
