I enjoyed my time my months at Gratitude I learned a lot a whole lot about myself and about human nature. I made friends there. I made three lifelong friends that I would take a bullet for. Two of those friends stabbed me in the back after I left and try to shame me to the entire remaining companions . I was deeply hurt, but I’m much stronger for surviving that heartbreak. This treatment center essentially saved my life. I learned coping skills, and am confident I will stay sober based on the care and guidance I received here. The staff is amazing and will do everything to make one’s stay more comfortable. This included much candy for me in handling cravings! I’m sure I’m not the first person to retire and end up in rehab. The Estate saved my life. I finally came to terms with my drinking and my dependency on alcohol through addressing health issues the staff at the Estate were instrumental with helping me sort out and plot my way forward. I continue to have contact with Amy and some of my fellows and have returned several times and it’s a good thing to be 30 months sober and I attribute in part to the experience of the estate. I’m an open book…I have embraced AA as part of my sobriety program…in terms of working the steps and getting sponsor and continuing to work work work… if you’re considering the Estate …I recommend opening yourself up to change…because if nothing changes, nothing‘s gonna change.

The Estate took me at my lowest and brought me back to life. The staff there are amazing!’ They really show you they care about you. You can tell that they’re doing what they love. It’s beautiful there. I was a little scared being in the woods like that at first but it turned out to be amazing. It’s so peaceful . It’s gorgeous! The cottages are really nice and spacious. They helped me with my mental health as well as my addiction. Because of the Estate I feel like me again!! I’ve got my life back and that feels so good!

Where do I start!? This place is top notch. From the therapist to the cook everyone here is the best at what they do. Everyone cares and makes you feel like you matter. You'll see your therapist on campus every day and they also facilitate a group every day. I honestly have nothing to complain about. Well maybe the smell of the back yard but that's nit picking. If you're suffering from substance abuse, look no further. This is your place.

I've been to numerous rehabs over the years, and by far, the love, understanding, and genuine care that the therapists and techs show their patients here is exactly what an addict like myself needs.
You can tell they genuinely care about the people they're helping, and that makes a huge difference when you're trying to heal and rebuild your life.
And the food? Hands down the best I've ever had in any rehab. The food is so good, even the spoon has flavor! 😂
I'm truly grateful to be somewhere where I feel cared for, understood, and supported in my recovery.

I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

Did have a good experience overall but did have 3 good nurses during my c section stay. The staff did not seem to communicate with one another at times, they forgot to feed me dinner one night, and I had to ask the nurses to check my incision a few times instead of them just doing it on their own. I delivered there 10 years ago and it was a much better experience then.

This is my second time at avenues and I can just say they have helped me so much and welcomed me with open arms both times. I want to shout out my counselor Ms. Christine and my 2 favorite Techs Blaise and Nene for always dealing with my attitudes and me not wanting to wake up in the morning. Overall avenues is a great place and if I'm ever struggling again I know I will have avenues to fall back on. After receiving 30 days of inpatient treatment for alcohol, I continued my care at Lake Wellness. Bruce Steinberg has been an incredible asset in my recovery; I cannot say enough good things about him. He created a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, and each day of the week had a specific agenda, which kept the meetings fresh and interesting. I thoroughly appreciated the activities and concepts that we explored. His group was open-minded and empathetic and was a place for growth, healing, and connection for me. I made friends I will have for life in this program and will forever be grateful for the care and support I received at Lake Wellness.

I volunteerly sought help with medication. Ì was afraid of what would happen while there. After a couple of days, the other ladies reached out to me and every thing changed for the better. I had lost most of my sight and could only hear very little. The staff was extremely helpful and concerned. I did get my meds adjusted. The support staff were great. I only had a few negative interactions with staff. The worst one was in the day room on Sept 13, 2025 when a female staff member ran across the room and to the TV screaming excessively
loud. Most of us had very negative reactions and several went out of the room.

It took a while for me to decide to post a remark, but I felt that I had to say something. I was a patient there last June because of something stupid I did because of the pain I was in because of my back. At first I was very upset and unruly. But after being there for a couple of days I did notice a couple of things that are definitely NOT the faculty's fault. The doctors, nurses & medtechs did the best they could with what they had. These people come in to help, because they care. But the one thing I did notice was that the staff was over-worked, under-staffed, under-appreciated & I don't know, but probably underpaid. They relied on donations, when it came down to certain clothes, shoes & I remember how short they were on pillows. After being discharged, my husband & I donated some items for them to use. The thing that gets me angry is after reading some of these reviews, it has become apparent to me how important that the Gov. steps in and do something about the lack of care there is for mental health. I read in a comment that their loved one was dumped like trash and she had dementia. While there myself and one other person tried to help the medtechs, when they needed some. These people are human beings, NOT TRASH and shouldn't be treated like it, due to the facility being so short staffed. You know, it's a shame we don't learn from the Asians on how they care for their loved ones. But like I said my personal experience taught me a lot about facing my inner demons, while trying to help the medtechs. Here's a thought!!! Maybe if you treated your staff the way that they should be treated, then you would not have so many unhappy family members of the patients.

Our developmentally disabled client was admitted last week. I can’t say enough about how awesome this facility has been. At most past facilities our other clients were in we had such a hard time advocating for them. Beacon has been easy to communicate w all the treatment team. We were included and informed regarding his care plan. They were able to make him feel safe. I’ll be requesting this facility if we ever need an admit for our DD consumers. Thank you Beacon!

Dr. Colomb is the GOAT!!! I've never ever had a doctor, n I've had a lot of docs over the past 30 yrs, be so interested in me as as a person n tried to do everything to help me with my mental health. He's great n positive!!. I love him!! I do!! He has a positive attitude n there's nothing he wouldn't do to get u better, including going to his office n dropping off my meds when I was going out of town over the wkend n I needed them. And it was his wkend off. He's always available to help. He loves his job and he really goes above n beyond to help us get better. He goes to whatever length he needs to help suffering people.
