My son was in psychosis and transported here 10 days ago. He was a mess! We picked him up today and he was smiling and happy and ready to do the work to stay mentally healthy! We are beyond grateful for the staff! He has been in another facility before and he came home robotic (wrong meds!) Hopefully now he will stay well and take his meds. We got our son back! We haven't seen this happy guy in years!

I’ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I’d go here. I’d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn’t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. With the right medications and some time I got back to normal. The food is good. The staff has to deal with all kinds of people and they do a good job. I give it 4 stars because like I said nowhere’s perfect. No psyc hospital anyway.

I was transferred from hell called MS State hospital to here in October of 2009. My stay lasted until June of 2010. I walked I and thought this place was going to be like the rest. I was wrong. This place saved my life. The third shift were loud and obnoxious and a few of the first and second shift staff were, in my opnion, not meant to be there. The therapist, phychiatrist, "the board", and everything else was different. Most of the people there would go out of there way to help you. The one on one time, walking around outside talking to a trusted staff member, the nurses were amazing and patient, especially Nurse Scott. They helped me obtain my GED. If this place is still the same as is was when I was there, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish they had an adult facility because I need the care this place gave me as a teenager. Plus the food was decent too. They made the place feel somewhat like a home than just a facility, which made treatment easier.

Nola detox is by far the best treatment facility I have been to. The staff is exceptional and very through. You get one on one sessions with councilors, execute a flawless discharge plan, and provide you with tools and coping skills to deal with daily life. Hi my name is Oliver Allen and first off i would like to give thanks to my higher power and the staff at Nola Detox. Before coming in i was weak and beat down. My weight was down to about 130, 50 to 60 pounds below my usual weight. When i walked through those sliding doors i was to weak to even stand and for three days had to use a wheel chair. When those three days were up i hit the ground running making it to all my meetings and working out using the faciliities equiptment. On my arrival i was greeted with smiles from the front desk receptionist Kendra and also greeted with open arms from all the staff. They said things like im glad youre here and you made it to the right place because we are going to take good care of you.I will forever be grateful for the way i was greeted and the way i was treated for my entire stay. I would personally like to thank Cedric, Dan and Mr.Chris for bringing such a great thing to New Orleans. Saving lives daily and helping people to believe in themselves. Showing them a different way to live without drugs and alcohol. Im praying that you all can keep growing and changing peoples lives forever. May God Speed, Grace and Blessings be with you all.

I've been to numerous rehabs over the years, and by far, the love, understanding, and genuine care that the therapists and techs show their patients here is exactly what an addict like myself needs. You can tell they genuinely care about the people they're helping, and that makes a huge difference when you're trying to heal and rebuild your life. And the food? Hands down the best I've ever had in any rehab. The food is so good, even the spoon has flavor! 😂 I'm truly grateful to be somewhere where I feel cared for, understood, and supported in my recovery.

My time at MSDATC was exceptional. The absolute best for someone in need of a life changing experience through recovery. All the way from the staff, therapist, techs, peer support, nurses, group facilitators, the Community, and of course the wonderful cooks!😉 I can't say enough wonderful things about these people, the facility itself, and their intended plan of action for the individual. Im astounded by my growth. I went from homeless to happy. I highly recommend this facility if you want change. This team changed my life. Stina was one of the most phenomenal therapiat and human beings I've ever met. She created safety for me to do the work. Brooke is an astounding cook and gets the job done. Allysa the case manager took me where I needed to go. Tray and Blake got me to my outside meetings. Nurse Faith and Megan made me feel welcomed and loved. Damn this place is good. It do what it do.

I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.
