This woman is sooooo awesome! She s the director over the pregnancy rehab I was at; and was my therapist for 4 months. At the time I was so stubborn and hated the fact I was court ordered to rehab but looking back; I am so grateful for this woman. She dealt with the mornings I didn t want to get up and participate in groups, she dealt with my pregnancy mood swings, she helped me through the emotional roller coaster I was on with coming off drugs and being pregnant. During labor with Lydia, she was the person I called to come up there at 9cm dilated, and she zoomed up there just in time to meet baby Lydia as she made her arrival. She encouraged me, showed me new ways to cope with life and the obstacles life throws my way. When they say god has a reason for everything, I truly believe that. When I didn t have support, he sent me to this rehab to gain the support I truly needed. From the staff, peer support, other clients in the program. The support was just unbelievable. Mrs. Heather for laying the law down, her spunky energetic, quirky attitude, she cared deeply for us. Mrs. Latrice for her positive pep talks, being real and all the way honest with everything, quick to check us about reality. Mrs. Ashley for her bubbly, and always positive outlook on life. Mrs. Jennifer for always just going with the flow. And Ole Clayton for always making light of things, always laughing and showing his soft side when it came to the babies, they all attached to him. I d have to admit, they were my home and my village, something I never had

I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. That facility helped me help myself. I am grateful. If you are reading this then you or someone you care about is in a bad place in their life. I know the feeling of crushing desperation. Go. Go and follow the program. Like you, I felt like AA was a bit culty. Trust me, man, it isn't. Once I wrapped my head around the principles of it and reconciled those principles with my personal faith in God I realized what a good thing it really is. They don't want to run you. They don't want your money. They just want to help you. I absolutely recommend it. It saved my life. It helped me make my life worth living

If you are struggling with an emotional or mental challenge such as OCD, depression, anxiety, trauma or bipolar disorder, the VA can help. G.V. Sonny Montgome | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I initially gave this clinic a bad review. I was sick and couldn't get seen. However, once I got through the initial screening (this appointment takes some time). I found them to be extremely competent. And they care. They are a small clinic with few people and limited resources. But, they are VERY thorough. Be patient, they are under the control of VAMC Jackson. We all know how bad Jackson VA is (except our useless congressmen and senators, I suppose). My advice is as follows:1. Get a clinic appointment. Try to get Dr. Bowling. She will get to the bottom of any medical problem. This lady is tenacious when it comes to her vets!2.Sign up for myhealthevet. Once you make an account, upgrade to the premium account. It will say you have to send in a form for the premium account. Just call the 800 number and have the service person upgrade it for you. They're very helpful. This will allow you to order health records, check prescriptions, communicate with you're health team. In other words bypass the VA bureaucracy.Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps.August 2023 update. They've run off ALL their doctors! Go to VAMC Biloxi instead.

I ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I d go here. I d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. Completely impressed by my care today. I finally gave in and headed to the ER for kidney stones. I walked in, checked in, and wasn t even to a chair before I was called back. Admission was a breeze, I was offered warm blankets, and I didn t wait longer than 20 minutes between care providers. Three hours was my total time to arrive, provide history, get an IV placed, get a CT, run pain meds and a bag of fluids, get printouts of prescriptions and a referral, and be discharged. I d like to thank those whose name I remember and anyone I left out: Katherine my nurse, PA Lee, Khyle my phlebotomist, the female students, my transport ladies, my radiologist, and my admission girls. I am seriously blown away by the cheerful attitudes, empathy, and appropriate care I received today, Sept 10 from 8:30-11:30am. If kudos are given by management, please ensure today s ER team is recognized.
