Dr. Anderson was amazing. This has been the best experience in psychiatry that I’ve ever had. He doesn’t simply push medication on you, he works with the mind, body and spirit to create a treatment plan that has longevity. His conservative manner of medication prescription makes me feel safe and the professionalism is top notch. His bedside manner and ability to listen to my thoughts and opinions is amazing. He literally asked me before I left the office if I felt seen, heard and understood. Who does that? I’m a patient for life.

Dr. Turner is awesome. He is caring and compassionate. I had to leave Pine Grove in March for insurance reasons, but when I found out my insurance was accepted there now, I would not see anyone else except William Turner.
The home of Grace. What a true place of people who love the Lord and points you to Christ. This place has changed my life and it has impacted my family in ways I never could have imagined. If someone rates this place anything but excellent I would take the review with a grain of salt. I see some blaming the faculty and facility on them not maintaining their sobriety. That’s the exact reason you’re not sober because you have zero accountability. Always someone else’s fault blah blah blah. Meeting after meeting after guest speakers like Simon and Mr Roy or Vinny. I see one person said they was strip searched and humiliated lol. That’s a lie you go into the bathroom when u arrive and pass your clothes and and belongings out the door to be searched as it should be. They can’t have you poisoning the whole damn operation bringing in a pile of drugs . And it’s also not in front of anyone. Once again another person blaming the establishment. Also the guys and girs cabins are prolly 400 yards from each other. lol and yes for all of you jealous spouses we did interact with the opposite sex. No big deal. We were they to focus on our sobriety not to find someone else known for making poor decisions to spend the rest of our life with. Hahahaha. Aight I’m done ranting. This place is the best around and I would recommend it to anyone that’s scared as hell to go into a program alone. They saved my life.

In my opinion this is one of the best VA's I have been to. It surely is one of the prettiest. VA has worked hard to change how they care for veterans and this VA is no exception.

I went to Mississippi drug and alcohol treatment center in June 2025. I can say I learned how to find myself. The staff there is very supportive and they are very helpful when you need someone or something to talk about. I want to give a huge shoot out to everyone who supported me when I had no one and mostly to everyone for never giving up on me. Thank you everyone for believing in me.

This is the BEST of the BEST. From the staff,the cooks,counselors,techs,and even the other patients there! I had an amazing experience and the program taught me a lot about myself and life. One of the techs that really stood out and helped me is Alyssa. She's an angel and a gift. If it weren't for her I probably wouldn't had come out of my shell I was in! All the talks and laughs she gave me are always in my heart. One thing I love is almost everyone that works there is in recovery! Alyssa you are my inspiration and I'm so proud of you! Keep your same attitude and work skills forever, especially to the next patient that needs you. Just don't forget me.😊💖 Five stars and hats off to everyone at Mississippi drug and alcohol . I'm 3 years clean with their help. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking to get clean.
I initially gave this clinic a bad review. I was sick and couldn't get seen. However, once I got through the initial screening (this appointment takes some time). I found them to be extremely competent. And they care. They are a small clinic with few people and limited resources. But, they are VERY thorough. Be patient, they are under the control of VAMC Jackson. We all know how bad Jackson VA is (except our useless congressmen and senators, I suppose).
My advice is as follows:
1. Get a clinic appointment. Try to get Dr. Bowling. She will get to the bottom of any medical problem. This lady is tenacious when it comes to her vets!
2.Sign up for myhealthevet. Once you make an account, upgrade to the premium account. It will say you have to send in a form for the premium account. Just call the 800 number and have the service person upgrade it for you. They're very helpful. This will allow you to order health records, check prescriptions, communicate with you're health team. In other words bypass the VA bureaucracy.
Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps.
August 2023 update.
They've run off ALL their doctors! Go to VAMC Biloxi instead.

Stopped into the clinic to take care of paperwork today.
I was there. I was in a place in my life where I could not continue on the path that I was taking. The counselors helped me work through the things within me that chained me to a way of life that was really no life at all. It was more of a way of death. That was five years ago. I am still sober. That facility helped me help myself. I am grateful. If you are reading this then you or someone you care about is in a bad place in their life. I know the feeling of crushing desperation. Go. Go and follow the program. Like you, I felt like AA was a bit culty. Trust me, man, it isn't. Once I wrapped my head around the principles of it and reconciled those principles with my personal faith in God I realized what a good thing it really is. They don't want to run you. They don't want your money. They just want to help you. I absolutely recommend it. It saved my life. It helped me make my life worth living

My dad brought me to the ER last night for severe pain from an infected gum abscess. They got me back very quickly and everyone, from the nurses to the doctor, were absolutely amazing. I highly recommend coming here if in need of help

Had the BEST experience from my pre-op appointment to surgery recovery area. Everyone was customer oriented, walking you through the hospital so I wouldn't get lost, explaining every part of the process and then Dr. Finan!!! He is so kind and professional. Also, i have rolling veins and they had the IV in with two sticks....other hospital it took eleven tries. Singing River Pascagoula was great!!

I’ve stayed here twice. It really is a good place to be when your in distress. Nowhere is perfect but they helped me. If I ever need to be hospitalized again I’d go here. I’d recommend it to my family and friends if they needed help. The last time I was there I was in icu psychosis from being on a ventilator for a week. At first I was hallucinating so bad I thought I was a hostage. They were really patient with me when I didn’t even know where I was and kept trying to leave. With the right medications and some time I got back to normal. The food is good. The staff has to deal with all kinds of people and they do a good job. I give it 4 stars because like I said nowhere’s perfect. No psyc hospital anyway.

The staff are very nice people! They have Wifi, but they won't give out the password!! Also, on the children's side, the toys on the playground desperately need to be replaced!! I've been going here now for about 10 or so years, and have almost always had good experiences. ✝️🙏😊
