As with anything any experience is going to be what you make of it and they will work just as hard as you do. I highly recommend them. I spent years suffering in my addiction. Years of using people places and things to try to fill that hole. It's not that no one wants to answer I was told that corporate wants people to use OAS. This policy was aggressively forced on me in another centerstone location. I goto this location and was recently told that the location is now enforcing this policy and are telling their front desk to do as was discussed to me ehich is to tranfer to OAS. Was told they aren't aloud to help appontment scheduling eity myself. I requested a transfer to make an appointment with my provider at their native locafion and was sent to OAS anyways. Unless you call OAS, This seems to be a policy moving forward. Calling corporate seems to make it worse so ide suggest users going forward give up on the idea of a perfect solution it didn't end well for me last centerstone I was at. I hope this helps. The therapists I have seen could be better I’m not going to bash their names and put it all over the place but I was told years ago that my therapist is supposed to make me feel better and they are supposed to help me but they weren’t really being that positive about things they made me feel like I was being scolded sort of it’s hard to explain how I feel but I don’t feel like they understand me at ALL and I put 5 stars because overall with CenterStone in general has been awesome at helping me it’s just the certain therapists that aren’t that helpful.I guess you just have to find the right person who understands you and I hope I can find that. This review is meant for two things: The OUTSTANDING staff at Genesis and spreading the word of the dangers of this “gas station heroin” Firstly, the staff over at Genesis really pulls that place together. I cannot tell you how wonderful they made what should have been an uncomfortable experience. They are so incredibly caring and supportive. I wish I was better with names but a few people really stood out to me. One was a tech named Kassie. She has such a beautiful spirit. Next was my nurse the first couple nights he was the tall blonde guy and he welcomed me and was so very sweet. Next but certainly not least was the doctor he was an Asian guy and my goodness his energy was so caring and gentle. Now to my warning ⚠️ 7-hydroxy or 7-OH says it’s Kratom and while it is derived from the Kratom plant it IS NOT KRATOM. It is completely synthetic. This stuff is 13x stronger than morphine. She was always ready to answer questions and she kept me well informed i pray that God will continue to bless her and this facility while ministering to those awhile are in need of whatever kind of recovery gail hart 5 days ago I checked myself in and was met with many people to say hello. I was told by admitting people that I ewould meet with a doctor and a therapist the next day. Had to do intake 4 times.i did not get my medications that night and had to plead for them. Finally met doctor day 4 or 5 met therapist on the day I decided to leave. Classes kept me busy and they all were good. I did not get to have my glucose monitor or my BP med until my BP was higher than ever been. I will say bed was okay but Bathroom did not have fan or heat but showering was fine. I have IBS so I was uncomfortable using the bathroom and smelling it up for my roommate. Inpatients were very friendly and the staff were great. I just didn’t feel priority coming in with my situation and not getting the doctor next day and he took meds a way with no explanation and I could not get my meds on the schedule I always had which throw me off with everything. Nurses were great and tried to help but they didn’t always get responses from doctors etc after 5. The classes did help me I learned a lot about why I got to that lowest point and how to resolve my triggers myself. For those who have Alcohol and drug problems this center is very good. I had acute grief for the loss of my husband of 51 yrs that was everything to me. Most all the staff were kind and understanding. New patients need to be prioritized specially with medications when drs have put you on thing you have taken for long period you can’t just stop with no explanation why and another suggestion made. I’m proud to say that I’m still sober today, and my life is so much better because of the support I received there. My therapist, Eleanor, was absolutely amazing and made my stay so much more enjoyable. Her arts and crafts groups always had deeper meaning behind them and really helped me open up and heal in ways I didn’t expect. Hailey wasn’t my therapist, but she was always there whenever I needed someone, and I loved when she and Eleanor did groups together. Their energy and support made such a difference during my time there. I also want to recognize the RS staff — Tim, Val, Herb, and Jaycee — who were all incredible and always available whenever I needed help or support. Every nurse I interacted with was kind and caring as well. A special thank you to the nurse practitioner, Deressa, who was the absolute best. Anytime I needed medication adjustments, she handled it quickly, and she also took the time to listen whenever I just needed to vent. Everyone at Apex taught me things that I still use in my daily life. I’m beyond grateful for the care, compassion, and support I received there. The staff truly made a difference in her mental health journey. They were patient, compassionate, and created a safe environment where she could begin to heal and feel like herself again. Atonyna Moore 1 year ago I completed the 28 day program offered by Samaritan Recovery Jan 16, 2025. It is my 3rd treatment experience since 2002. I cannot say enough to express my gratitude for Samaritan but I am going try. First, they accepted me and others without insurance and at no cost to me. That’s a minor miracle in today’s world. I am 55 and Clients ages during my stay ranged in age 19-60. A good mix which created a unique environment. We had 12 step meetings each night on site and coffee each morning. All required to finish steps 1.2.3 before completing program. The staff was excellent!! Low tolerance for unhealthy behaviors and held us accountable without being unnecessarily authoritative. Then intake process was easy and admin staff was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The Samaritan facility/building is new, clean and first class. I does not resemble any nonprofit inpatient treatment center nor operate like any I’ve ever seen. I received Individual counseling, valuable and interesting small group sessions facilitated daily by a designated counselor who cared. In speaking with other clients over 28 days I do not hear any complaint about their counselors either. They all also facilitate large group sessions in afternoon and I can say they were excellent and also showed that they cared about us and our growth and recovery . The food service/chef/cafeteria fed 35-43 clients 3 meals each day. All meals were very good, well balanced and of wide variety which was also a very pleasant surprise. The groups that were facilitated in afternoons were well designed, specific to and for people in early recovery and tooics Related to addiction and co occurring disorders. All facilitators were licensed professionals and 95% of staff is in recovery with long term success, decades of experience. Samaritan also has daily , morning meditation for all clients who wish to engage. It’s proven to help those with addictions and co occurring disorders so I was very happy they facilitate daily meditation. A few minutes each day changed each day for the positive for me . The recovery, behavioral Technical support staff that managed clients needs was 24/7. All of them were actively in recovery themselves so they understood us. I believe all tech, support staff had close to or more than 10 years sobriety. They were patient, attentive and knowledgeable. Very Respectful and cared about the clients needs. That says a lot given fact that 40 people, all of whom were in Early recovery. Me included, Clients can be very hard to manage, and that’s an understatement. Support staff was truly the glue that held us together. Samaritan also has full Time clinical staff on site and Although I didn’t have a lot of clinical needs I will say that clinical director director, medical physician and all nursing staff were very attentive on a daily basis for clients who required medications, check ups or medical requests. Again excellent staff. Very qualified and steady. Personally and without hesitation I can say that I had a great experience ant Samaritan. I came in shattered and broken and I left 28 days later hopeful, renewed and optimistic. I highly recommend this facility and their 28 day program. Lastly, I was also surprised that they have transitional sober living on site and after care programs. And Two things I really took advantage of in my free time was the music / sun room and small library. Amazing and so surprising given that Samaritan is a non profit. My experience and thier program is also clear and strong reflection of great donors and highly qualified executive staff. If your curious how it happened - My story went like this…. I called, did assessment over the phone and 24 hours later I was picked up at a hotel near brick church and trinity lane .I was desperate and ready for a new life after havjng relapsed about 3 months earlier. Samaritan gave me every opportunity and more to build a strong foundation for long term sobriety.
