About Huntsville Metro Treatment Center

Huntsville Metro Treatment Center, operated by New Season, is an opioid addiction treatment facility located in Huntsville, Alabama. A team of opioid addiction specialists will design a customized plan for you that will feature treatments such as medication assisted treatment (MAT) and take home medications. The facility accepts payment through Medicare and Medicaid.

Recovering While Continuing Daily Life

Outpatient MAT allows you to continue your daily life by managing withdrawal and cravings while you engage in recovery therapy. You’ll learn how to cope with your present circumstances, which can help you maintain your sobriety.

One way of coping with stress is to explore different attractions in Huntsville. For example, you can spend time taking in the calming sights and sounds of nature at the Monte Sano State Park.

Medication to Manage Your Symptoms

Managing your symptoms will help you be better able to retain the tools and skills you’re taught during addiction counseling. The medications that will be used to reduce your withdrawal symptoms include methadone, Suboxone and buprenorphine. Your physician will determine which option is best suited for you, with methadone typically being prescribed to individuals with more severe withdrawal symptoms.

Take-Home Medication Options

With the option of take-home medication available, you’ll be able to spend less time receiving treatment in the center. After you’ve made a certain amount of progress, the treatment team will consider whether it’s in your best interest to receive this treatment option.

Prison life was easy for me. It was indeed a mind**** yeah, but would not choose to risk going to a place I feared, so maintaining my 55 year heroin addiction was always enabled. Accepted Insurance

Huntsville Metro Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are designed to provide support to you after completing an addiction treatment program. These programs are highly customized and evolve with your changing needs. You'll partner with staff at the treatment center to identify any specific medical, behavioral, and social services needed to support your sustained sobriety. Aftercare services may include peer coaching, career counseling, and other personalized support.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Alabama is an organized attempt to convince someone they have a substance use issue and that they need treatment. During an intervention, loved ones share their concerns about the person's substance use and encourage them to get help. A professional can provide guidance and support for this effort through intervention services, to help participants avoid missteps and increase the success of the intervention.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Alabama provides medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for drug dependency. Methods of treatment often include a combination of medication, counseling, and recreational therapies.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy in Alabama is to lessen the symptoms of certain mental health conditions, including substance abuse and co occurring mental health disorders. It is known as one of the most effective means of treatment for these conditions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Rehab treatment in Alabama often involves motivational interviewing (MI). This is an evidence based approach that helps you discover your own interest in change. You'll decide for yourself what next steps you're willing to commit to in order to reach your goals.

Trauma therapy helps you process and heal from traumatic events. Your therapist provides a safe space for you to explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and integrate the traumatic experience into a more coherent narrative. This helps to promote long term mental health.

If you're experiencing relationship challenges, couples therapy in Alabama can help you work through those difficulties. You and your partner will meet with a professional therapist to work on current issues and strengthen your relationship.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Well I am trying to follow their guidelines and plans and whatever the so called doctor has laid out for dose increase. And when you are paying almost $20 a day to get relief from what you are going through and still can’t it’s very difficult to understand. The doctor picks and chooses who gets more methadone and who does not. I have listened to testimony from other patients that are waiting to see this guy and they tell me that it is troubling as well. And finally today after all his questions and I was actually laughing at him while he was talking to another person on the phone about someone going up and he was giving them the runaround and He asked me what I was laughing at, and I told him I was laughing at him. He told me that instead of getting more methadone I should just go back and start doing drugs again because I was better off doing that than having him give me what they’re supposed to be doing. His man is Dr. Atchley Apparently, you can get the doctor title and the certificate because this guy is not a doctor. I mean, I guess it’s a long the same lines as Dr. Dre or Dr. Seuss a doctor. Anyways, I’m gonna keep going and hopefully it gets better but yeah good luck to anyone else who has to go through this process.

Not the greatest but not the worst. People keep recommending BHG, I sure as hell don’t recommend it. I was there 7 years and hated it. People that do want to listen to the others and go to BHG, it is not on Jordan it’s on Independence drive off of Jordan lane. Behind McDonald and Wells Fargo.

I don't understand the point. My family member started going back days ago. He was on Suboxone from a doctor to stay off of opioids. He was doing better. But wanted to be high so headed straight back to the clinic for Methodone. He now stays passed out on the couch when he gets back from your clinic. Just like the last time he was at your clinic. Your not a treatment center. Your just another drug dealer.

Great people top to bottom esp. my counselor Mrs. M she's my rock. There was no wait for me to get started and the staff made the experience safe and easy to understand the treatments available and I was feeling like a human being in a few short days. I highly recommend that if you are struggling with opiate addiction that you do NOT hesitate to call them up and beat the beast that is opiates. I was using $200 worth of heroin a day for 20 years along with oxy and morphine and I am proud to say I am going on 1yr clean. Don't wait call !!!

Thank you for your review! We're glad we've been able to provide you with a positive experience and we sincerely appreciate you encouraging others on their recovery journeys. Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
