John, the administrator of the treatment center is present almost daily and he follows through as did the rest of my team and other faculty associates. She is amazing. She is there from the beginning to the end if you need anything. The first person I met at rise was Nam. He is the man he’s there for you all the time he works 20 hours a day. The man is amazing. Next, I met Zac the nurse he’s such a cool dude and listens to you and takes whatever concerns you have and it gets it fixed for you. As far as nurses Daisy, David and Nina were great. If you have real medical issues, I would not go there Dr.Raskin is a first class clown. The first time I met him, he spoke to me in the kitchen for 30 seconds and ran away. The next time I saw him was on Zoom for about 60 seconds and he got off. I had a lot of medical issues and he was not there for me. I was very disappointed in that. I refuse to see him after that that’s one of the few bad things about Rise is the doctor. If he was my employee he’d be fired. I complained about him a lot. The counselor Michael, Josh And Beth were great they listen to you and make you feel like they are helping you out. A special shout out to Cat My hippie dippy friend she is the one who does yoga and meditation. I never did that in my life before I’m an older man and she was amazing. I’m from the East Coast. The food was not that great. I was disappointed in that they have a private chef. James was the best chef That’s the only thing I could say about the food. Very disappointing. I felt valued, I felt empowered, understood and heard. I came in not really sure what I wanted out of treatment and scared to really connect with people and have them see me in my weaker moments. All of the staff at sober life loved me through these issues and helped me get to a place where I felt safe and comfortable enough to communicate what was really going on with me, and gave me the tools I needed to be able to deal with things as they came up on a daily basis. Anytime I was a little off or lost any amount of momentum, they noticed immediately and did whatever they could to make sure I continued my progress and that even though addiction is a lonely disease, it became a lot easier to believe I wasnt alone and recovery is possible. It wasn’t complicated at all, they handle the insurance stuff for you so you can focus and prioritize your recovery over anything else. Kimberly, Dan, Ashley, and Kelley have all been huge grounding stones in my recovery, showing up every time and helping me make solutions out of chaos. Having all of these amazing, kind, and extremely dependable people in my life has kept me steady and also taught me what having people around who genuinely love you, want the best for you, and who celebrate your achievements and help you through your downfalls looks like.
