The facility also has a phone and laptop policy, but if you have a legitimate need to use your devices, the staff is willing to work with you to find a reasonable solution. Visitation is held on Sundays, but loved ones can bring approved items for patients any day of the week, which is a thoughtful way to stay connected and supported during treatment. Overall, I had a very positive experience at MPI and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional, compassionate, and supportive environment to begin their recovery journey. Jessica B 1 month ago I was there a little more than 4 years ago. I was withdrawing from a super heavy Xanax addiction. The withdrawal was the scariest thing that I've ever been through but they used medically assisted treatment to taper me off. I went through hell and back but they almost got me through it. Luckily they knew how to treat me. They sent me to the mental health department when things got really bad and then I came back for the rest of my treatment. The groups and counselors are great and very informative and educational. The nurses on the other hand were horrible and didnt understand what was happening with me during withdrawal. I told them I was hallucinating and scared and didn't know where I was in the middle of the night but they just told me to go back to my room. I begged for help and was scared to death but they wouldn't help me. They ended up transporting me to mental health when I was blacked out and out of control. Doctor Kayman is extremely knowledgeable about the brain and the counseling staff is amazing as well, always offering a listening ear and great advice to help any problems that may arise while in treatment. I got off 6 years ago. I found a drug called fentanyl. I became addicted and decided to return here to the Baart program. Tomorrow being Presidents day I found myself in fear. I wasn't sure if staff would be available for the intake process. I called the clinic number to be introduced to Thomas. 🦉He was so calming he immediately assed my needs. Updated my file set an appointment for me. I felt a lot better than before I spoke to Him. The fact that Thomas was there to answer my phone call means everything to me. I'm able to take the necessary steps to move forward. Had I called and a recording came on it would have been a whole different attitude with me during this time. I flew my sibling across the country the following day. He is now a completely different person and recovering. They literally saved his life. I would highly recommend them to anyone. When I first read the reviews for this facility, I was very nervous to be sent there. So much so that I asked the nurses where I was staying to try and make other arrangements. I was afraid of the theft and mistreatment of patients that some other reviews have mentioned. But that was not my experience. I spent four and a half days there. And I will tell you that it is what you make of it. If you go in entitled and expecting to see lots of bad things, then you will. And while I saw some unruly patients and encounters with dirty toilets, I did find the staff to be quite professional. When I had concerns and respectfully voiced them, they listened and made effort to adjust for me. I made some very heartfelt connections with some of the other patients. People from all walks of life. What we all had in common was some kind of trauma. And it's true, misery loves company. The key to getting better is BE POSITIVE! I call some of my fellow patients dear friends, brothers and sisters who helped me heal and in return I did what I could to be supportive and understanding of their individual situations. Going back to the staff, I felt i was heard by the entire staff. As long as you are polite and don't stir up trouble, you will be fine. Work with the staff. They don't want you there any longer than you want to be there. Open yourself up to listen to what they have to say. Allow yourself to heal. It is a fairly good chance that when you are discharged, the problems that brought you there are still there. But you come out with some coping tools, some support systems to lean on and hopefully, some friends who can be there when you are feeling low. This was my very first time on a 72 hour hold in a psychiatric facility so of course I was really nervous. The floor staff is amazing and very comforting. There was times where I was emotional and they would give me a hug and give me words of encouragement. The nurses are so sweet and really listened to what I needed. I felt very seen and heard by my social worker and psychiatrist. They really worked with me on a great treatment plan. I felt very happy here. The food was really good and I was very well fed. All the staff here is amazing. I loved the activities they had for us. I got to do drawing, outdoor time, coloring, yoga, etc. I enjoyed my time here very much and if any of the staff are seeing this review I just want to say THANK YOU. You all truly saved my life. I feel so completely at ease with him and safe. I am taking ITBS.-TMS TREATMENTS. I have had horrible anxiety and a lot of depression and not making very good decisions. I’ve been through this treatment for six weeks now and all of a sudden for the first time in my life I feel peace. This treatment really works. And Dr. Hoglan has many many other treatments that are new innovative and fantastic. I trust him completely. He’s a true professional and he cares about his patience. He’s a very honest doctor and he’ll let you know what’s going on all along the way .if I ever need this treatment again He will be the only one that I will ever go to. This is a very professional caring clinic with very professional assistance to help him too. The girls that work for him are the nicest people you would ever meet. I can say with this treatment that he has given me for the first time in my life, I have peace. I’ve never know what peace was in my life until now. I am very happy with a service and if I ever need anything else along these lines, this is the only doctor that I will ever come back to for these kind of things.. You cannot go wrong with Dr. Hoglan and his service. Very professional very grounded and I’m just happy that every step of the way he has always been very kind and caring with me. I feel extremely fortunate to be a patient at Gut Feelings. The quality of patient care is outstanding. Gut Feelings offers an array of treatments that are cutting-edge and research-based, from GI tests to Spravato to TMS to even IVs to help treat migraines. I have struggled with treatment-resistant depression for years; Linda and Dr. Mike have given me my life back! Dr. Mike and Linda educate, empower, and advocate for their patients. They have a collaborative approach to treatment, where they partner with patients to create a customized treatment plan. They are able to understand and treat complex cases. They are also very responsive, being very proactive when my depression has worsened. They are so endearing and sweet and made this process so much fun during a time when I was not feeling like myself! I really miss seeing them every day, they made everything go by so quickly. TMS really helped my depression where I didn’t have to load up on medication. I truly feel like myself again. I haven’t felt like this in a long time.
