I was locked out due to an unlawful eviction in 2022 & lived in my car for a month while attending St Mary's center. I was a breast cancer survivor until 2023 when I was diagnosed cancer-free & in Feb of that year I was housed in a transitional room through St Mary's. They gave me a safe community where I was able to restart my life, take care of my mental & physical health issues, & in Jan 2024 they helped me get permanent stable housing at Depot Community Apts in Hayward. If anybody needs a safe place to get help, I urge you to come & connect with this senior center. They are a lifesaving God-given resource to help fix your life issues & THRIVE! This place is amazing. I went for behavioral health and every part of the experience, from the front desk offering coffee, to the intake coordinator, to the therapist that helped me during one of the lowest times of my life, was beyond anything I would have ever expected from a non-profit for low income folks. CDRP is a wonderful program full of counselors that really care about your health. But it won't work if you don't care. They have a nice new facility now, I've gone back to visit and it's really nice, clean, welcoming environment. I have long lasting friends I was able to make through their classes and 5 years sober.

I been coming here for years. I just want to say that this place is so much better than it was before, in the past it wasn't could've come here with all the temptation and dealers out front. It seems that since they got a new Director & she wasn't having it, she made them straighten up and they got a new Fiscal girl who helps with everything. Really stepped their game up. Margarita helped me renew my Medi-Cal, and was very welcoming. She always has water and other drinks and snacks & candy for the patients. she connected me with a local food bank, as well as resources on impatient programs and even help med me find a part-time job. The counselor Pam is hella down to earth, always listens and doesn't judge. I think of her like one of my cool aunties. At this clinic they treat you like a person not just a junkie off the street. Most of the patients we all know each other so we're kind of like family and coming her to interact with other like-minded people who are focused on sobriety.

My sibling was in a terrible medical condition due to alcoholism. The doctor told us he was going to die if he didn t get treatment immediately. I called all across the country and talked with staff who walked me through the treatment process better than anyone else and offered a reasonable price. I flew my sibling across the country the following day. He is now a completely different person and recovering. They literally saved his life. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They do things the right way. Kind, caring, but firm. Fair price. They know what they are doing. As a seasoned trial attorney, I can tell the fakers from the real deal. These guys are the real deal.

This place is so amazing. This was my very first time on a 72 hour hold in a psychiatric facility so of course I was really nervous. The floor staff is amazing and very comforting. There was times where I was emotional and they would give me a hug and give me words of encouragement. The nurses are so sweet and really listened to what I needed. I felt very seen and heard by my social worker and psychiatrist. They really worked with me on a great treatment plan. I felt very happy here. The food was really good and I was very well fed. All the staff here is amazing. I loved the activities they had for us. I got to do drawing, outdoor time, coloring, yoga, etc. I enjoyed my time here very much and if any of the staff are seeing this review I just want to say THANK YOU. You all truly saved my life.

I was hospitalized here after going through Hell at two Kaiser EDs. The staff was wonderful and supportive. The staff helped me to feel comfortable and well cared for. My needs were met and I felt it was a safe place for those who needed a greater amount of care and supervision. The groups were very generalized for the wide range of patients whom were housed there. This is a facility that is meant for people who are at risk of hurting themselves or others and/or need to get regulated on their medications. It is meant to be a stepping stone to get more help after you are no longer a risk. I feel the perception of most of the poor reviews are from people who are fighting against what they need rather those who are seeking help.

OMG this place is amazing and work miracles up on that 5th floor in 28 days! Not sure about having to be a celebrity or whatever that one post said unless they are talking about ghetto celebrities. Terry and the staff he gots up on the 5th floor are the bombdigity trust and believe me on dat one fsho. BACS Townhouse is truly a Godsend. My wife and I were homeless as of August 2022. The Staff was nothing short of sweet and pleasant. The only drawback, is occasionally we would get some nut jobs in there that would get a little violent because they re having a mental episode. As a matter of fact, I almost got into a fight with a couple of them. If you re really serious about your business, and getting out of homelessness, this is the place for you. And my wife and I had a laser focus. Another advantage we had was the fact that we own a vehicle that we slept in while we were homeless. BACS hooked us up with a special kind of homeless shelter, that allowed us to park our car in the special kind of parking lot on 8th Street in West Oakland. There they would provide a table full of plastic bags full of survival food. Like potted meat, Vienna, sausage, and all sorts of assortment of chips. It was really a great set up. During the night they provided a porta potty at a place to wash your hands after you use it. Once a week, a truck would come in to the lot and provide both free showers and laundry world is a homeless people in the lot. They even provided service for your car in some cases. By September 2022, we were blessed to be hooked up with Holland house on W. Grand Ave. in West Oakland. And that magical day finally came in January 1, 2023 when we would move into our new apartment. And we ve been here ever since. I think got a boat for Bay Area community services, where I write this review from our beautiful little apartment here in Oakland.

Everyone is very professional and especially Dr. Swarup is amazing. My 3 year old daughter broke her femur and got treated by him. Within 6 weeks she started walking with a spica cast on and since then she had no issues whatsoever. The doctor kept checking her for next few months and every time there was improvement. These groups have family sessions per month. It is suggested not to bring families to the regular sections that are for members only. Here you will find convicts, prostitutes, even people like you and how I imagine. In these groups, there is no preaching, there is recovery and there is no judging. I called becuase I'm looking for a primary care provider. I was able to schedule my daughters to be seen quickly while mines was scheduled out in March to update my immunization records, and a physical for school. Which now makes sense, they offer many services so I can tell they are busy. The clark that supported me today was kind and took her time with scheduling. I took away a star because the platform "My chart" does not have an app to download which causes it some confusion when seeking to use it. I'm looking forwards to seeing how things go in January 2025 at this new facility.
