My child (12 y/o Female) said that she felt safe and respected. Clean and always someone there for her to talk to. The only downside she said was….. the food was gross and showers were cold.

I was a patient on the youth side montery unit, i think about the staff there every day how I wish I could have them with me at all times when I need them Rachel Megan and crystal and few others were very good staff members and there were bad ones aswell the main thing is hospital food was butt, but what can you expect and there were some loose screws I took care of, and was nearly attacked twise but never was hurt just alot of code greens over all it's not as bad as Santa Rosa and one of the better ones I sure miss my non dairy cookies and if staff see this pls boot dr Singh ftlog.

My daughter (13 yo) was here for 7 days. Read throughly so you get suggestions on how to handle the hospitalization. The staff (when they could be reached, which I will talk about later) are skilled and caring. The woman the the front desk (Maila) was wonderful, but very busy. While I sat waiting for discharge, she had several tasks paired with whatever came up. There was a former patient trying to reach another patient and giving her the run around because they did not have the code (they must have a code to contact the wards). She was very kind at every step, but Imagine such scenarios happening several times per shift. My daughter says the hospital itself is good, the food is good, the staff are good; however, the patients make it terrible. There were fights, and several youth getting "booty juiced" which thank goodness only means being tranquilized. Most youth "crashed out" when learning their 72 hr would be extended. If the hold is extended its likely needed, I can attest that my daughter needed the 7 days she was there. They are not(at least I do not think) in the business of arbitrarily keeping youth beyond the necessary time. I am thankful to know the stress is not because of staff antagonism, neglect, or some such reason. This is a hospital, and a mental one at that; it is short staffed and busy. It is a difficult environment and patient care is going to take precedent over answering the phone on the ward. They may be having to "booty juice" a patient; it might be your family member. what I suggest: 1. This is a more "don't call us, we'll call you" deal. Trust me, they will call if necessary. They will call at 11:45 pm, right when you finally are able to get some sleep to tell you if something happened. Don't ask me how I know. No news is good news. 2.Writing down all of the questions that come up will help tremendously. I did not have any problem getting the attention necessary once I was called by the doctor, or case workers; they all gave me ample time and answered questions thoroughly. 3. Setting visitation schedule once you get the staff on line, be they in person or zoom visits; and make sure they are logged (especially zoom, you don't want to try scheduling day of with these) 4. get the email address for any follow up. 5. Please, accept the nature of the facility; it's fast paced, things change on a dime. Patients crash out and take up staffing resources. (in 7 days there were 13 crash outs on one unit and 6 on another; some were pretty serious physical altercations (not arbitrary, this one kid started lots of crap)). Your calls may go unanswered, the staff could forget to tell your family you called. The paperwork involved with the tranquilizing, fights while also running groups, caring for patients, with short staff makes them have to prioritize. 6. relax, trust me, I was a troubled youth in my past, and have been in institutions. I can tell you this place is the real deal. The people are skilled and they care, my daughter attests to this and I saw it first hand. I do not see how a horrible staff could last here, the environment would not allow such a person. 7. During the school year the hospitals get really chaotic, however summer hospitalizations are less stressful. Kids are having problems during school time and not summer. School year= more kids and more incidents. I hope this helps. My daughter benefitted from the hospital.

I like this place fast and very convenient to where I live. Nice people they take good care my 3 children. I'm glad I found this place Dentist's are nice ,friendly they know how to handle kids ,staff friendly and they also make sure my kids are feel comfortable! Lovely people...

This place is amazing. I went for behavioral health and every part of the experience, from the front desk offering coffee, to the intake coordinator, to the therapist that helped me during one of the lowest times of my life, was beyond anything I would have ever expected from a non-profit for low income folks. I am so grateful for the care I received here.

My loved one is currently at MPI. In the time she's been there, she's been to serveral 12 step meetings, has received one on one counseling and tons of education regarding this disease. Additionally, there is a family plan so that we can be the best support for her when she goes home. MPI is an excellent place. She will be there for at least another week or two and is very happy she went and we have very high expectations for her as a result of the treatment.

First time in treatment, I did not apply myself to the MPI treatment program.. hence, I started drinking again after losing my wife to cancer... Second time in treatment, I attended their great grief classes and stuck with the program... I HAVE BEEN CLEAN FOR 578 days...

Look no further for outstanding PT sessions from skilled, professional, caring staff. Nice campus setting, good parking, spotless clean facility. Easy to reach, just a few minutes from 17. Very disappointed with two other facilities I was referred to during earlier years. Almost gave up on medical care. The GS Hospital is an eye opener and gave me new hope. Perfect preparation for a major surgery (chronic disease) and recovery afterwards to get back in shape. Wonderful!
