I was a resident of this facility in 1999 to August 2000. This place saved my life. The director was very helpful in making me feel safe. My counselor was the best!!!. I'll always be grateful for the Henry ohloff house Spiritual weekend was the best

This is the best rehab and recovery program I have found. I experienced bad and researched my ass off on rehabs. I prayed for the best program for me and I found it. The food is excellent! The counselors truly genuinely care and the director was caring and helpful and kind from the very beginning. I cant tell you how grateful I am to be at Ohlhoff and working a solid program and in the hands of caring professional therapists, counselors, director and staff. THIS IS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY! If you want positive results and have the desire to recover this is the place to be.

This is the best ADU (crisis residential program) in San Francisco and a gem of the public mental health system in The City. Very client centered, veteran staff, many of whom have worked here for many years... They prioritize client needs and the client's experience, and safety. Well maintained, clean, beautiful facility. Bilingual program, signs are in English and Spanish and groups are interpreted for Spanish only speakers.This is a social model program, like the other ADUs in San Francisco. There are multiple therapeutic groups per day, counseling, referral to case management or other services in San Francisco, and meals included. You're allowed to leave the facility to attend to errands, appointments, or outside support after an initial "orientation" period. They will help set you up with whatever resources you may need.At LEAST three employees still work here (it's April 2024, my last visit was in 2012). Call Dore Urgent Care Clinic or speak to a case manager for referral.Typical length of stay: Two weeks, possible referral to longer term residential treatment.Medicare and/or Medi-Cal, Healthy San Francisco, no insurance, Kaiser accepted. Sliding scale, small program fee depending on ability to pay.

In a world absolutely ruined by late-stage capitalism and while we all suffer the consequences health insurance has wrought unto our society. It can seem like an insurmountable obstacle as an uninsured person especially in the moment of suffering but the experience i had was unlike any other hospital visit i've ever had. Their compassion and empathy sets this place apart from the rest.Ive been between jobs and feeling like my world's been crumbling down around me; so when my recent medical emergency reared its head Eddette, Laura, and Fatima were the kind, warm professionals you really only ever hope to cross paths with and the three of them flipped my perception of hospitals with what seemed like no effort on their parts. Natural compassion, empathy, talent, and overall aura is what you always dream of experiencing at the hospital. Not that i want to go to the ER ever again, if i have to, i hope its within THEIR ER. (GIVE THESE CATS A RAISE!).Arguably this hospital serves the most diverse part of the city and it shows. This team and especially these key players, can turn your visit from a harrowing solo nightmare into a warm visit with relatives (that are hopefully not "too disappointed" in you ending up in the ER again but still love you anyway). Its got incredible vibes; the service was the best experience i could have had from a medical emergency. Thank you guys! <3And again shout out for helping me find coverage in such a dark time without even having to ask. You guys are the best!

I went to emergency room of San Francis hospital last wensday. And they tried me rigth the nurse was very cordial trod me rigth I stay over nigth and 4 doctor came to see me to make sure I was getting the best care I M thankful!!

I stepped from the curb onto an oil slick surface, Broke my Hip!!aaaargh!! 15 hours later, I have a pin and 2 screws holding it together, 8 weeks have passed and I'm walking without a walker or wheelchair. I'm 56 , I thought for sure it would take months to recover to the point where I could walk again, everybody I know , sees me now and are shocked how quick everything came together .I've now had two surgeries at St. FRANCIS, I'm not looking for a third, Should the need arise, I will ask to be taken to St Francis.

My psychiatric provider recommended finding a program that could address both my mental health and substance use disorder, and Foundations proved to be the perfect fit.The intake process, though it took some time over the phone, was handled with care and understanding by Dana. She navigated the sensitive questions with grace, despite them delving into past traumas. Upon arriving for my first day, I was warmly greeted and guided through the necessary paperwork, which was comprehensive and provided me with valuable information to refer back to at my own pace.I found the group sessions to be particularly impressive, with counselors adeptly guiding discussions on challenging subjects. As someone familiar with such programs, I expected a certain level of professionalism, which the counselors consistently demonstrated. The group format, including individual check-ins and educational components, fostered a sense of community among clients a vital aspect of the recovery journey.The educational components were delivered in a manner that felt relevant and engaging, thanks to the counselors' deep understanding of the subjects. The presence of adorable dogs further adds to the inviting atmosphere.Moreover, the convenience of nearby parking in a parking structure with validated parking has been a huge bonus, easing logistical concerns and adding to the overall positive experience at Foundations.On a deeply personal level, I can't emphasize enough how much I cherish Foundations. My success in recovery wouldn't have been possible without it. As a professional, it provided me with a supportive environment where peers understood the challenges I faced. I've forged meaningful friendships and a sense of community that has been crucial to my journey. The bonds I've formed with the staff have allowed me to be my true self a tremendous relief in itself.In fact, I've continued my involvement with Foundations by participating in their weekly outpatient program. The structured approach and unwavering support have been instrumental in maintaining my progress. Being part of their alumni program is another highlight for me. It's incredibly fulfilling to connect with past clients, old and new friends alike, and share our experiences, challenges, and successes in recovery.Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Foundations.
