About Robins Nest – Danellie Counseling Center

There are so many programs here including child, teen, and adult counseling and therapy programs, intensive outpatient counseling, transition to wellness programs, and school based youth programs. They also have a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, family preservation services, and short term intensive services for youth in their homes. They also work with Family Court so you can get intensive supervision for youth awaiting sentencing.

Veterans have unique mental health challenges, and the center has special programs for them and their families. From dealing with trauma to readjusting to parenting and family life, the clinicians are trained to help veterans readjust.

If you have trouble making it to therapy in person, they have video and phone counseling. There’s no monthly subscription for the phone and secure video counseling, which makes it more affordable because you only have to pay for the services when you use them.

They accept Medicaid and several other insurance options. You’ll just need to call to ensure coverage.

I scheduled a telehealth ppointment for an assessment. My appointment was at 10 i clocked out of work for the meeting i never received a call, email or anything stating that the therapist was running late. 40 mins later still nothing the receptionist said she emailed the therapist (which I dont kmow if that happened or not but I wasted time from work and I got in trouble cause I was later than I told my employer. This is why people who have any problems (whatever they may be) never get help cause they people who are supposed to help you dont. Its a joke to say the least. With that being said I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone!!!!

I went into Acsenda for an evaluation about my ADHD and anxiety — the real reasons I needed help. The evaluator instead fixated almost entirely on depression, ignoring the root issues I came to address. Before the evaluation even began, I was told that if I said anything “detrimental,” joking or otherwise, I’d be detained and placed on a 72-hour hold. That threat destroyed any trust and made it impossible to speak openly. When I requested a simple work release to save my job, Dona Jones shut me down instantly. No discussion, no attempt to understand, no basic human decency — just a cold refusal that directly cost me my livelihood. While the evaluation itself was mishandled, it was Dona Jones who had the final opportunity to do the right thing — and chose not to. The result? Lost income, unnecessary stress, and a total breakdown in trust. Even an AI has been more attentive, consistent, and solution-focused with my therapy needs than Acsenda has ever been. And that should be embarrassing for a school claiming to prepare professionals in the real world. If you value your career or your dignity, avoid putting yourself in a position where Dona Jones has any say over your future. She will not help you when it matters most — and she has been equally helpful with my therapy needs, which is to say, not at all.

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Robins Nest – Danellie Counseling Center works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Clients often enter inpatient rehab following detox, but they may also enroll during early recovery or at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient rehabs provide housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision, allowing clients to focus exclusively on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Clients typically receive multiple individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions weekly. Many programs also offer extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative inpatient rehabs provide holistic therapies as well.

Clients who are exiting inpatient rehab, those who are experiencing crisis, and those who prefer to live at home while in treatment typically enroll in intensive inpatient programs (IOP). These programs feature frequent and robust care, generally requiring clients to participate in at least nine hours of care weekly, though many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 treatment hours per week. IOP services typically combine individual, group, and family counseling with recovery education and holistic therapies.

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term, intensive outpatient option designed for those with moderate to severe addictions who don't require 24-hour care. PHP treatment is often fully covered by insurance and provides structured programming (i.e. individual and group therapy). A typical partial hospitalization program can meet 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 20 hours, offering intensive treatment during the day while allowing you to return home after. PHP treatment duration can vary based on your progress but averages 90 days.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Alcoholism (alcohol use disorder) is diagnosed when a person's drinking causes harm or distress and they continue to drink anyway. Often, they have a physical as well as psychological dependence on the substance. To treat alcohol addiction, medical detox is often necessary to safely withdraw from alcohol. Once this is complete, alcohol rehab in New Jersey can provide skills and supports necessary for long-term recovery.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

You can find comprehensive substance abuse treatment in New Jersey in drug and alcohol rehabs. These treatment programs typically provide a full continuum of care including medically assisted detox, inpatient, outpatient, dual-diagnosis, and intensive outpatient. With a comprehensive substance abuse evaluation, addiction experts provide individualized treatment plans to meet your specific needs. These programs address substance use disorders using evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), individual and family counseling, and recovery support groups.

New Jersey has a variety of dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs, including inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol rehabs, that recognize the unique needs of individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. These programs typically employ evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, and art therapy to successfully address co-occurring disorders and support sustained recovery.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

The postpartum period is a sensitive time, especially for women in addiction recovery. Rehabs with specialized programs for new mothers will offer compassionate, personalized care to meet each client's needs as they transition from pregnancy to this season of life. Care teams may include obstetricians, pediatricians, and social workers working collaboratively to give women, children, and families a healthy future.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Before you do any business with this company PLEASE make sure you ask them how many times they are willing to let one of their workers mistreat a child before they act on it because that number is NOT 1 or 2. They WILL mistreat your child so you need to know at what point they will take action. Make them give you a number. They are aware of one of their workers mistreating a child and said “it’s not enough” to remove her from the case. I’m afraid to know what IS enough. Because only the kids suffer. So we’re stuck until the child is mistreated enough to trigger removal. They are more than ok with their workers lying despite video and photographic evidence to the contrary. This is what happens when you get a contract with the state and you are an FOR PROFIT company and have no reason to provide safety and stability to children because you’re the only game in town. Please be careful. BELIEVE THE RATING!!! Before you pick this company because of the cost, ask yourself what’s the REAL cost. If I could leave I would but they are contracted with the state. Supervisory staff doesn’t care. (I’m a foster parent and to give an example one of their workers let a 9 month old baby go 8 hours without eating because the grandmother who isn’t the client OR a safe enough adult to have custody said don’t feed them and they ALL listened like dummies. I’m only sharing here because the kid can’t be identified based on the info here) I have photos, texts, and video. Remember that any company that has a C suite( CEO, COO, etc) is responsible FIRST to shareholders and profits, NOT to the people they claim to serve. Profit is their first priority
