About Robins Nest – Danellie Counseling Center

Robins Nest Danellie Counseling Center is now Acenda Integrated Health and is still in Glassboro, New Jersey. Acenda is a Joint Commission accredited center that offers a plethora of counseling services for the treatment of mental health. They have child, teen, and adult counseling. They also offer mental health programs and medication monitoring to support recovery from substance abuse.

There are so many programs here including child, teen, and adult counseling and therapy programs, intensive outpatient counseling, transition to wellness programs, and school based youth programs. They also have a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, family preservation services, and short term intensive services for youth in their homes. They also work with Family Court so you can get intensive supervision for youth awaiting sentencing.

Veterans have unique mental health challenges, and the center has special programs for them and their families. From dealing with trauma to readjusting to parenting and family life, the clinicians are trained to help veterans readjust.

If you have trouble making it to therapy in person, they have video and phone counseling. There’s no monthly subscription for the phone and secure video counseling, which makes it more affordable because you only have to pay for the services when you use them.

They accept Medicaid and several other insurance options. You’ll just need to call to ensure coverage.

The counselors do not listen to anything you have to say because they've already made up their minds no matter what may or may not be wrong with you ...you are getting the lowest possible dose of anything non-narcotic and none scheduled. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The case manager who was assigned to me, Sarah, came to my house and took all of my personal information and told me that a therapist would call to set up the sessions, however I NEVER received any calls. I called Sarah multiple times and all she did was apologize and tell me that she would make sure someone calls me, but she never did. Don t waste your time calling PerformCare/Accenda Health because your children will not get the help or services they deserve.

Accepted Insurance

Robins Nest – Danellie Counseling Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I have had a great experience with Acenda. I see my Therapist and Psychiatrist there. They are both extremely helpful to me. I also had my Caseworker through Acenda and she was awesome. I am greatly thankful for Acenda. Thank you. Donna D.

"Worst Experience Ever: Avoid Acenda Integrated Health at All Costs" I had the misfortune of going to Acenda Integrated Health recently, and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Where do I even begin? The receptionist gave me an appointment card for monday morning a 9AM with the nurse. No appointment was ever created. She tried to blame me, when she was the one that wrote the card. She said I should have gotten a text reminder, I didnt, She insisted I did. She was slow witted and confused. Do NOT go there!!! Also, the Xmas tree was still up in the office in May!!!

Don’t appreciate all the texts from Rachel I’ve been getting all month long. It’s okay to text me all month but when I ask about your services I have to call? No thank you. Not even interested to learn about your services, go somewhere else if you have to they have 2.2 starts for a reason.

They never call, they discharge you without telling you, they have you sign release forms and then do nothing with them, they tell you they are a short term facility, yeah that is definitely true, because you never speak to a doctor, they ask why you are there and then they make up their own reasons. Glad I'm not a danger to myself or others.

Was referred by Wellbrook to reach out to them for counseling. Made a call, did the intake over the phone. Sent me documents to sign in my email. I signed and waited for a phone call. About a week goes by. And I hear nothing. Got a phone call today from a 609 number. I usually don’t answer phone calls if I don’t know the number. Something told me to call it back. I called back and somebody named Lakisha answered and right off the bat was ignorant. Talking to me, being very condescending, and kept threatening to delete my case file for not answering the phone. She kept saying she called me three times, I informed her this was the first time I’ve gotten a phone call from them. She was so adamant that by not answering the phone my case could be closed. I told her now is not a good time to talk as I do not have a baby sitter and I’m busy at the moment. I told her I could call back at 4 o’clock. She made it clear if I did not call back at exactly 4 o’clock, my case would be forced closed. I barely know this company, and this is the first time I’ve spoken to anyone from this facility. I have a family member who works here for almost 20 years and ever since the merge with Robins nest, they have gone downhill. They don’t care about the mental well-being or the care that is needed. They were a nonprofit organization to help troubled women and children at one point. Based off of what I just experienced, I don’t believe they care at all anymore. After being disrespected, like that, I told her to just close my case, and I will gladly find a different therapist. I made it clear that I don’t feel comfortable having my life put in the hands of someone else who is so quick to write me Off. Just because I “missed three phone calls” that I don’t have phone records of. Would not recommend. 👎🏻
