I'm having an issue with the competence of the staff & feel like they're violating HIPPA laws. I'm traveling to Puerto Rico in December. I told my counselor. He pulled me in to tell me that they didn't accept guest dosing in PR. To let me know I've had clean drug screens since walking in their facility and that I couldn't phase OR get take outs even though they didn't have guest dosing in PR without signing their release. The whole reason I went to this clinic is because Crossroads Treatment Center did not properly set up guest dosing in Hawaii when I got married in June. Found out when I got there that the place they sent me to didn't accept guest dosing. Now, I work at a hospital right down the street. I get up & do everything an adult is supposed to, pay my insurance premium so they are paid at LTF. I told my counselor that I needed to advocate for myself & go to my doctor, whoever was prescribing the methadone. I was told the nurse practitioner was that person and she would be in today at 7:30. I came and started talking with her, same thing. Pushing the release on me. Despite telling her that my doctor drug tests me, as well, and knows I'm on methadone. I told them if they would send a release that was directly from them without LEXINGTON TREATMENT FACILITY across the top I wouldn't have a problem, because I've dealt with discrimination & disrespect due to being in a methadone clinic. She continues to say that she can't just take my word (again, it's not just my word- they see what I'm prescribed through my insurance print outs and are very much aware of the medications I'm prescribed). I took less than a minute to research that PR in fact DID have guest dosing. She told me it was MY job to find a clinic & set up my guest dose & when I had them on the phone all of a sudden she didn't have time & sent me back to the counselor who also didn't have the time & asked for not only the phone number, but for ME to give him the fax number. WHY 🤔 DO I EVEN HAVE A COUNSELOR??!! The incompetence of this clinic is staggering. Absolutely reminded of my disability. The day before I had a panic attack at the dosing counter & couldn't even take my dose because I couldn't breathe & the nurse asked if I needed to calm down in her office. I was so upset& it's carried over into today when all the counselor had to do was Google methadone clinics in PR that accepts guest dosing. It would have avoided ALL OF THIS. It really makes me think how many other people have they done this to? They're use to giving people the okeydoke, because of their laziness. They are paid to do what I did today. I'm not even close to being done, yet. I don't have time to do three months in physical therapy so I can get an updated MRI, SO MY INSURANCE WILL COVER IT SO I CAN GET BACK INTO PAIN MANAGEMENT. Again, something I told them when I entered the program. I wasn't asking to phase, I was asking for a solution when I was told, " you can't guest dose in PUERTO RICO & WE WONT GIVE YOU TAKE OUTS WITHOUT YOU SIGNING A RELEASE." I asked for a referral to pain management then- nope they don't do that. Ok-SO WHY are you concerned about what mental illness I'm treated for? Methadone sure as hell doesn't help with PTSD OR anxiety. They also shared that the reason they think I don't want to sign their paper is because they think I'll lose the other meds. Ummm, no. My doctor has already adjusted my dose to be compatible with the 50 mgs I'm on- they definitely gave me motivation today. I'm used to advocating for others, I'm advocating for myself, now. I'm sooo tired of SC clinics treating their patients however they chose. Legal drug dealers. PERIOD

Its hard for me to find a place to start because there's so many great things I can say about LTC. The most important is the staff. Every time im there im greeted with a smile from all the staff. That instantly puts me in a good mood and I feel welcomed. They go above and beyond for each individuals needs. The level of care given is phenomenal. LTC is the best place to come to if you need the help. I want to thank everyone there especially Mrs J.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs provide flexibility and accommodation for clients who prefer to remain in their homes and workplaces while in recovery. They also facilitate clients' sustained sobriety for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient care. Clients may engage in day, evening, night, or weekend treatment sessions, which typically involve addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. Many outpatient facilities also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) and evidence-based holistic therapies, such as yoga and massage.
