About Here’s Help Inc.

Here’s Help Inc., located in Opa Locka, Hialeah, Florida, offers a residential treatment program for adolescents seeking recovery from substance use disorders. They also offer an outpatient program at a separate location as well as an In-Home/On-Site (IHOS) program for youth age 13 and up.

The center takes Medicaid and various insurance plans to make their services accessible to everyone. They work with local and state funding providers to assist those who are uninsured. We like that they also provide sliding fee scales to serve as many people as possible.

Residential Treatment in Opa Locka

Some of the amenities featured at this facility include 24/7 staff, nutritious food and education. Clients can attend individual, family and group sessions.

It’s also great that the facility incorporates day classes such as culinary arts and Saturday classes such as GED preparation. Additionally, the facility has an athletic field which features courts for volleyball and basketball.

IHOS Therapy for Teens

Another service a part of the Help’s Organization is the IHOS (In-Home Program). It’s an encouraging service for teens to help them deal with struggles and give them a fresh start ahead.

Your teen will have access to individual and family-based therapy and case management services to attend to all of their unique needs. They may also be asked to cooperate with random drug tests to help them stay accountable and successful. I like that the meetings happen either in the teen’s home or out in the community, which is a very nice service if transportation is a barrier.

Reputation of Compassion

I deeply value all of the stories from families and individuals who’ve used Here’s Help Inc’s services. Reviews emphasize the dedication and empathy of their care teams.

The center is close to regional parks including Amelia Earhart Park, which has lakes and calm spaces that you can work into your outdoor therapy and enrichment. You’ll also be close to community centers and schools.

I was a teenager sent here from may to November of 1979.I seen multiple councilors a week every week. Nancy and a lady named Joyce we called earth mother and Mike Elliot. My parents were a mess and caused me incredible emotional trauma .I got the chair for a few days for lying but overall I got help .I actually got better grades in school there then 4 years prior for skipping so much.I was sent there for being a chronic runaway with alot of home life problems. They took us out to events on weekends like the disco,Halover Beach, a few concerts as the guy John at the time was tight with Y100 radio station.Marsha was our driver everywhere felt bad we were not the best behaved teens. Bad thing was alot of romances happened there causing fighting amongst the residents. I guess everyone came out with a different experience mine straightened me out and helped my parents get a divorce .They were dysfunctional together and harmful to themselves.

I have been volunteering at Here's Help for 25 plus years. I have a son who made wrong choices in life. I wish I knew about this program 27 years ago! It is by far the best treatment facility and because of my son I know and see the difference from other rehabs compared to Here's Help.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.

If a person with a substance use disorder continually denies their problem or refuses to get treatment, a drug intervention in Florida may be necessary. Intervention services can help mediate the intervention by providing an addiction expert. This professional can de-escalate situations and facilitate a healthier discussion between the individual and their loved ones. Specialists can also help families handle issues they don't know how to navigate on their own.

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual counseling sessions provide a supportive and trusting environment in which individuals can explore areas that are normally threatening in the presence of others. Counselor and client will together explore emotions, feelings, negative consequences, and behaviors directly related to the individual’s drug abuse. Appointments for individual counseling are set up at the client’s convenience directly with his/her counselor.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During family therapy sessions, you navigate the complexities of addiction and are provided tools to help improve communication and resolve conflicts. When you work together, families can better support their loved one's recovery and restore balance and harmony within the household.

Recreational therapy helps you recover from addiction by giving you structured activities that promote your physical health and mental well being. These activities could range from sports and fitness to creative arts and provide a constructive outlet for your emotions and stress.
