I was a teenager sent here from may to November of 1979.I seen multiple councilors a week every week. Nancy and a lady named Joyce we called earth mother and Mike Elliot.My parents were a mess and caused me incredible emotional trauma .I got the chair for a few days for lying but overall I got help .I actually got better grades in school there then 4 years prior for skipping so much.I was sent there for being a chronic runaway with alot of home life problems.They took us out to events on weekends like the disco,Halover Beach, a few concerts as the guy John at the time was tight with Y100 radio station.Marsha was our driver everywhere felt bad we were not the best behaved teens. Bad thing was alot of romances happened there causing fighting amongst the residents. I guess everyone came out with a different experience mine straightened me out and helped my parents get a divorce .They were dysfunctional together and harmful to themselves.

I have been volunteering at Here's Help for 25 plus years. I have a son who made wrong choices in life. I wish I knew about this program 27 years ago! It is by far the best treatment facility and because of my son I know and see the difference from other rehabs compared to Here's Help.

I learned so many valuable life skills at this place when I was a teenager, and I know at the time I didn't want to be there, but I mean, what teenager(in my particular position at the time) would want to be away from their friends and family? But now at 23 almost 24, I am grateful for everything this place and the staff back then and all the lifelong friends I made in this place who I still talk to to this day, and are probably my favorite friends I have because we have a special bond and it's thanks to this place.

Larry was cool. He was a therapist there. He was level headed and cool and actually was good at his job and a good guy 🙏✌️ hope your doing well buddy

I went here when I was a teenager and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Addiction is a cunning, lethal enemy and half of the girls I spent my time here with are either sober, or deceased. This program did not keep me sober but it was an experience Im glad I had.

I have been seeing Dr. Vega once a week for over 7 weeks now and continue. He is very knowledgeable, and passionate about helping us. He says "One couple at a time!" I love him. He does not pick side and a really likable person. Dr. Vega tells us the truth and straight to the point. Dr. Herman Vega is an excellent professional, very knowledgeable, caring and a great person. His methodology is very didactic and aimed at getting results. As a couple's therapist he's focused on helping and making sure each person understands what really matters and how to stay committed to it. Orlando Recovery Center literally changed my life! I have recommended to my family and friends and they say the same. They have clean and spacious bedrooms with a private bathroom. The food is prepared by a private chef and they have a dedicated recreational therapist and a large pool. The staff is amazing and go the extra mile.

Felt seen here for the first time in years. The EMDR helped quiet my mind and sleep again. Staff truly understood trauma, not just addiction. Met a few vets too, which really made a difference. Cant thank them enough.

I was scared to slow down but this place helped me reset. Loved the yoga and mindfulness stuff, it honestly brought me back to my body. Staff was kind, no judgment ever. I wish there was more focus on women-only groups but overall felt super safe. Also really appreciated how private everything was.

If you find yourself in drug court you can’t blame everyone else. Change starts from within and acceptance is key to this process. I’ve been in drug court a few times. I have a disease that’s been criminalized and prints money for many establishments. It’s the most frustrating area of my life and a criminal record only adds to the abundance of guilt and shame this disease focuses on. Thankfully broward county takes a strong stance on rehabilitation for those who would benefit and are honest with themselves about their challenges. I’ve stood in front of 3 drug court judges over the years and each operate with a high level of integrity, respect and sympathy. The newest judge is a man who looks beyond the low moment that brought you to court and sees the potential in your future. He never speaks down to anyone in his court nor does he allow any of his team or partners to act in a disrespectful manner to those trying to better themselves. I will say this…you get a few chances if you’re honest and up front but if you try to BS the system the climate will change quickly and you’ll be sent to felony division. It’s a rare occurrence but warranted for many. If you’re in this program and have Donald as your counselor you’re in good hands. This is a man of god and he truly shows up for his clients and goes the extra mile. Donald and Judge Davis helped restore my faith in self, god and the system. And if Judge David is reading this, I’ve held true to my commitment last time we spoke…I never have to be the victim of my decisions again.

I wish this had better reviews. Instead, the people leaving poor reviews are whining instead of owning up to their actions. Yes, initially, you think the demands are egregious. It took me awhile to finally get on track, but once I did, I realized how great this program is and how fortunate I was to be a part of it. There are some people that may talk to you with a condescending tone, but that’s a problem that’s within them, so don’t take it personally. The people I directly worked with were wonderful and definitely showed compassion and desire to prevent you from continuing to fall. Then once you’re done, you get the charge dismissed and hopefully, your life towards a new path. You’ll be surprised what you are capabale of achieving.

Great place to donate pee. Everyone is super nice. They sure want a lot tho which I figure must mean there’s a really bad shortage somewhere. Just makes me feel good knowing it’s going to someone who needs it more than me. 🙏

i’ve been seeing john carrascal for my anxiety and he has been incredibly supportive and understanding throughout the process. he creates a safe and comfortable space where i can talk openly without judgment, and he always listens carefully to what i’m going through. he provides me with practical tools and strategies that really help me manage my anxiety in daily life, and i’ve noticed a big improvement since starting sessions with him. i appreciate how patient and caring he is, and i truly feel like he wants the best for me. i’m very grateful for his guidance and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with anxiety.
