About Evolutions Treatment Center

Evolutions Treatment Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment center located in Miami, Florida. Their programming provides a deliberate and slow progression from detox to sober living to create a stable path toward recovery.

Evolutions Treatment Center offers detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and transitional living homes.

The medically supervised treatment at Evolutions Treatment Center involves a safe and guided detox overseen by medical professionals to ensure safety and as much comfort as possible. The average length of stay in the detox unit is five – seven days.

The residential program at Evolutions Treatment Center offers 24 hour medically supervised treatment for those who need to stabilize mentally and physically. The program also provides standardized addiction treatment such as individual and group therapy, along with recovery oriented classes.

The partial hospital program is the most comprehensive outpatient program at Evolutions Treatment Center, and is often participated in by individuals upon graduating from residential treatment. This is a highly structured environment that meets regularly, but still allows participants to return to their home in the evening. Partial hospitalization is often seen as in important intermediary between residential and outpatient programming.

The intensive outpatient program at Evolutions Treatment Center is a step down from the partial hospitalization program. This program offers a less restrictive environment with more flexibility and time spent away from treatment.

The outpatient program at Evolutions Treatment Center is considered an aftercare programming service. This often includes individual or group counseling at regular intervals, while still fully participating in normal day to day living.

The transitional living house at Evolutions Treatment center is for those who want to live with others who are also in treatment so they can experience a positive environment that supports recovery through peer relationships. Standardized drug testing is implemented to ensure compliance.

Florida shuffle, YES, 100%!!! This is the worst place possible you could ever send your loved one to. I know because they watched my son die, getting high right in front of them. When he first arrived there, I was told by his "therapist," Leon, who was actually only an intern in social work, NOT counseling, that I would be allowed to have contact with my son while he was there. That was just one of many lies I was told. Leon would not even allow me to speak to my son on Christmas Day and couldn't even tell me if he received the Christmas present I sent to him. They also put a claim into insurance for over 300,000 dollars for his short 42-day stay, and then they didn't even have the decency to call me and inform me that my sweet boy passed; I had to hear that from a police officer, because they were too busy covering themselves. The hottest place in hell is reserved for you!!!Please, please do not send your loved one here if you care about their well-being. My son never received the treatment he asked for and lost his life because of it!!!

My experience with evolutions has been very frustrating. It seems like my treatment hasn t been taken seriously and although the staff are truly caring, it seems that higher ups have alterior motives in terms of insurance policies. There are some sanitary issues along with a lack of communication between clinical staff. My experience may differ from someone else s. Not saying it isn t worth it but I get the impression that my sobriety hasn t been taken seriously. Groups, although chaotic at times, are genuinely good

Accepted Insurance

Evolutions Treatment Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) involve frequent and robust therapeutic sessions for clients requiring high-level care. Clients may engage in a combination of medication assisted treatment (MAT), addiction counseling, recovery skills training, and holistic therapies for a minimum of nine and a maximum of 20 hours per week. Intensive outpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient care, and those at an elevated relapse risk.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Florida often serves as a transitional residence for individuals coming out of inpatient rehab. This helps those in recovery avoid isolation that can sometimes happen after they return home from treatment. It offers a supportive environment where they can practice skills learned in rehab. Offering a combination of structure and freedom, men's or women's sober living is a good stepping stone to independent life in recovery.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

My relative was sent to this facility, from there he was removed to the facility to the hospital. I went to pick up his things and was surprised at the huge bag of things I got. I went through the bag infront of the personnel from whom I received it just to realize that his tested glasses was not among the things in the bag which had more than 50% of items not belonging to him. I asked for a bag and picked out his things that belonged to him and gave back the rest and ask them to provide a follow up on the glasses. No follow up was made. Days later I called, they said they would talk to the director. Still no call back, I went in today May 16, 2025 and spoke to Adam - The Director who said that nothing can be done about the glasses and they cannot take responsibility for them. I asked him to help me understand the process of how he was removed and what monitoring was done to see if we could retrace the glasses as he is saying saying I'm not even sure if it was left here. I asked him if theres no system.of Accountability for items left there. He began to get very angry and irate, then opened the door and said I'm not doing this with you. I find this behavior appalling when you are supposed to reflect "a caring institution". I will be following up on this development and will write a review of my interactions each time until somebody can show me or my relative that due process was followed and they can show that they did what they needed to do to secure the belongings of those they serve.

Had to change my review due to the poor maintenance of the pools that kept getting close and techs escalating situations when their job is to descalte. The therapy and groups are the only good thing about this program. Special shout out to Melissa, Carlton, Andrew, Tim, Tony, David, Beno and Brittany who helped make numerous break throughs I never thought possible and has me on the right track to recovery!

Evolutions has been nothing then help in part of my sobriety and mental health journey. When I first got here I was terrified, but the staff made it so much easier for me to feel welcomed. As the days passed by, I met with my therapist and met all the staff, they treated me you like family 100%. And they are there to HELP, I can 100% say that they want what s best for you ALL THE TIME.I trusted the process and I am able to say that I successfully completed the program with so many things learned. The therapist (shout out to Brittany), is genuinely the most honest and caring and loving therapist I have ever had in my recovery. All of the admissions team did amazing, plus the techs (shout out to Jeremy,Jb,Melissa). For being there and showing me and guiding me on the right direction. My biggest shoutout goes out to Trent and Ashley, while they guided me they also proved to me truly that they want to see you succeed, and they want to be part of that process to be able to support you and be there for you. Ashley gave great advice in personal stuff that I was going through, and they can relate to what all of us are going through because they have gone through it themselves. My shoutout to Trent is because he is an incredible Program Director, he is straight up with what he wants you to do to be successful, and he will help you with the resources. He s super caring with his clients and doesn t treat us like we r just clients, he treats us as humans and understands where we are at in life right now. His office is always open to sit and talk to him, and his advice WELL . It will shock you from your head to your toes. He knows what he is saying and 100% shows that he will help you get to where you want to be in life.I would definitely recommend this program to anyone mental health or substance. I will not stop saying it. They want what s best for you, and will be there for you in any way possible. Thank you Evolutions and Staff for EVERYTHING!Emma

I currently have a loved one in active addiction. Anyone who knows me knows I only ever leave positive reviews, but as a LMHC, I’m livid. While I cannot speak to the treatment in the facility, I spent weeks calling and trying to get my loved one’s insurance verified only to be told it wasn’t accepted and that we would be connected with another resource. Still waiting on the other resource. If a prospective patient reaches out to me and I don’t accept the insurance or have availability, I always make sure to arm them with resources. This is irresponsible and inconsiderate of them.
