There’s still so much misunderstanding, judgment, and stigma surrounding it and sometimes people are made to feel like their struggle defines who they are. You and your team looked past the hardest moments and you saw someone who was still worth helping, protecting and worth believing in.That kind of compassion cannot be measured by one act alone. That is the kind of compassion that can reach someone when they are at their lowest and remind them that they are still a person and loved and it gives them a reason to keep going. To every person at First Step Behavioral Health please know that our family noticed. To everyone that sometimes may feel forgotten. The individuals who brought her food, a warm blanket, cleaned up after her and then told her it was ok and reminded her she wasn’t alone. We noticed. We noticed the little things. We noticed the people who went out of their way to make her feel cared for when she couldn’t care for herself. We noticed the people who continued showing up even when the days were difficult. And most importantly we noticed the love. You may not realize how much those moments meant, but they meant everything to us. When we couldn’t be there. We had comfort, knowing that she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her and our family when we thought there was none. You and your team gave our family more memories when we thought there would be no more. You gave our family more laughter. More smiles, more time with our sister. Time is something that people take for granted until they realize there isn’t any time left. We thought our time was up with our sister and were preparing for her story to have a tragic ending. I was stubborn to open up to the help but once I did this place helped me more than they ever know. They helped me gain my life and my kids back. I’m still sober even tho some thought I wouldn’t be because I left 2days earlier than I was suppose to. I’m extremely grateful for the experience I had with this program. From the very beginning, they made the entire process as easy and stress-free as possible, including helping me with my flight and getting me set up at the right facility so I could be as comfortable and focused as possible. One thing that meant a lot to me was that they even took my dog in when I had nowhere else to put him. I spent 60 days as PHP and 30 days as IOP at this rehab facility. There’s always 2 group rooms to choose from with activation of group facilitators and therapists that run the groups. While here I spent most of my time Scott’s group in the morning. He does a great job of making sure that you are correctly able to identify what got you here in the first place like the fact that being in rehab is not a choice. It is a result of your addiction. Your recovery is the choice you get to make if you put in the work. If you feel that you’ll get more benefit from learning the psychology of things then Dr. B’s group is perfect for you in the other room. And if you want a variety of techniques Jamie is amazing at balance including things such as music therapy, Ted Talks, and recovery speakers in addition to the regular conversations. Is Luminous perfect and issue free? NO. However, it is here to test you and make sure that while you’re under their protective bubble of life you learn to deal with life, cravings, and coping mechanisms the right way. There are many employees who are here for all the right reasons. Some have been through rehab and dealt with addiction themselves and are able to give you insight into what the correct steps to make are without all the fluff like the lead tech Novak who assists in the majority of day to day operations. My case manager Elise goes above and beyond her scope of her job title. While clients speak amongst themselves about issues they may be having, she is brought up as the one who often helps clients that aren’t under her management and picks up slack for other ppl who try to redirect you to someone else for assistance. It’s no wonder that when the new case manager came in they had her shadow her rather than the more senior case manager. Overall I thank Luminous and the entire staff and clients who all contributed to my Successful rehab completion. They have assisted me in my discovery phase and have put me on the path to recovery. I can now claim to be 90 days clean and sober for the first time in over 20 years. Thanks again.

So I think that yaz is the one who makes it happen at this facility and she is very helpful and very friendly I posted a post earlier that I may have been a little off and I apologize for that one so everyone is got a lot on their plate here and us addicts always want what we want and we want it now so there job is very stressful and it ain't no walk in the park to deal with us so I just wanted to say thank you luminous care for your help and support through my recovery here it has been a pleasure to meet each and every one of you counselor and techs.

Oh where to start ! I’ll be brutally honest . This isn’t a 5 star resort. And my first week I wanted leave more than anything ! But I stuck it out . Your not caulded or babied here everything is not handed too you . You have to work for it and try . It sucks but this place and masterminds method prepares you for re entry to society. Life’s not comfortable, convent or easy . Neither is mastermind . But it’s brilliant it teaches you how to deal with frustration,and the chaos of life and the structure and discipline required to live it sober . The staff really care . The OWNERS are on site working everyday not out living it up like most business owners do . And they would give you the shirt off there back if you needed it . This program is unique and unlike any other . It’s not always comfortable and convenient but neither is life and recovery . I left with the tools and coping skills and resources to stay working annd stay sober you have to want it . Mastermind showed me and motivated me to go take my recovery and I can’t thank this place enough . If you really want to recover it takes work and this program requires work just like life and recovery 110% recommend if your serious about recovery ❤️‍🩹

I went here 5 years ago and I owe them a lot of thanks for saving my life. I’ve been clean for 4 years now. Most of the staff do a great job, and a lot of them will go out of their way to help you if you’re having a tough time. I met my fiancé there, (I know no rehab romances lol) and spent the best 4 years of my life with him after completing ocean breeze. Unfortunately, the love of my life passed away last year from the monster we call addiction. We spent almost all of those 4 years sober, but my fiancé felt depressed and relapsed. I did not see it coming, he was always so much stronger than me. At least there’s no more pain for him, and is reunited with his dad now. Sorry for the rant, but I wanted to post this because of how much ocean breeze has done for me and others. Before, I didn’t have the tools to cope with reality. I’m also incredibly grateful I met my fiancé, Garrett there and was able to spend the happiest years of my life because of the help they gave to us both.

My experience at Ocean Breeze Recovery will be one a lifetime. The group sessions opened us up to see what we were really up against dealing with addiction. My counsellor Heather gave me very valuable one on one time that brought feelings and memories back and helped me to process them and move forward. The comraderie that was shared by the residents was strong and heart felt. The Community that stands strong together helps to prop up those that were weaker. This is something we can't handle alone. The outside meetings we attended showed us how to conduct ourselves in real meetings for when we would go home. The staff cared about our well being and help us as much as they could. With the things I learned and experienced from Ocean Breeze Recovery, I am applying everyday to stay SOBER. 19 MONTHS STRONG!!!

From the phone call to get help to the trip to the next level of care, BRC were top notch. Every staff member was friendly, caring, professional and knowledgeable. I was treated with respect and care throughout my entire 30 day stay. The food was high quality and prepared with care. The therapists and facilitators were top notch. The medical staff were very caring and knowledgeable. The behavioral health techs were all extremely funny and caring. I arrived at the Boca recovery center in Pompano on July 7th 2026. From the moment that I got there was absolutely the best recovery experience I have ever had. Everyone on the staff from the executive level down to the techs we're absolutely phenomenal! I arrived at Broward Partners during one of the most difficult and vulnerable times of my life. I came with many worries, feeling emotionally overwhelmed and unsure of how I was going to face everything I was going through. But I found something that at that moment, I needed more than anything else: people who were willing to help me. The language barrier was never an obstacle. Even though I had difficulties communicating in English the staff always found a way to listen to me, understand me, and guide me. For someone arriving in a vulnerable situation that means more than words can express. During my stay, I met many excellent professionals who do their work with commitment, respect and genuine compassion. I especially want to recognize the morning-shift ARCs for their patience, dedication and the way they carry out their responsibilities every day. I also want to give special thanks to Mr. Fres, who was always available to listen and help whenever I needed it. During difficult moments, having someone willing to stop, listen and offer support can make a real difference. As in any place where many people live together, I met people with different personalities and different stories. I chose to surround myself mainly with those who, like me, wanted to improve themselves, move forward and build a better life. Today, when I look back, I understand that Broward Partners was not simply a place where I stayed. It became my home during a time when I needed a safe place to begin again. For that, I simply want to say: Thank you, Broward Partners for welcoming me when I was at my most vulnerable. Thank you for your support, your patience and for the people who made that difficult time a little easier to get through. Perhaps for some it was simply part of their job. For me it meant much more. This clinic saved my life. I started with them in a Miami office-where after 17 years old trying to quit opiates-methadone was my last resort. They do start you off on a low mg (standard for state of FL) then raise the dose daily so if you’re a heavy fentanyl user it may take a few days to feel 100%, but it is a lot easier than struggling for 3 days in detox waiting for the fentanyl to leave your system to be able to take the buprenorphine (precipitated withdrawals). For a long time I tried to stop and stay off any maintenance medication, because people have stigmatized it saying “you’re switching one substance for another, what’s the point” the point is that there are 1 million and 1 ways to get clean, what works for me may not work for you. I have been successful going on year 4 thanks to this Clinic. Once my urine started coming out clean I quickly progressed to showing up once a month. If you have tried everything else and cannot stay clean, visit this clinic. They have more options than one for MAT to fit your needs. Whenever I had an issue or had to travel-getting a hold of the Director was always easy. They will also help you find an insurance that covers it so you don’t have to come out of pocket, but comparing it to spending $100/day the cost of the medication doesn’t even compare. They go above and beyond to help. They saved my life. Also, remove the stigma of MAT-my life is manageable now and the only side effect I experienced was success.

I want to say after being in the grips of a horrid addiction for 15+years, I debated on whether getting back on Maintenance treatment with methadone, due to the stigma and rumors. However, after trying countless times to quit “without anything” and repeatedly failing, when I made the decision to take the step to start treatment, I accepted that saving my life by any means necessary was no question the best option. 3 years later, I’m a 37 year old, financially secure, healthy, productive member of society and my family*. I’m accountable to everyone and everything and my life is no longer unmanageable. I’ve tried and had success with Buprenorphine in the past, but when I relapsed in 2019, Fentanyl was the new street opioid and 100 times harder to quit than Heroin. One has to abstain from Fentanyl at least 3 days before taking it, whereas with methadone you don’t have to wait. The owner and staff/nurses/counselors are professionals and there to help. There has never been an instant or emergency that they could not help me with. I’m grateful for sticking through the first difficult days of my body and mind transitioning into sobriety. If you are thinking about it and don’t have the luxury of going to detox, do it. Save your life. Since then I’ve cleared HCV and gotten healthy physically. Thank you ATC and GGTC - SS

I absolutely loved this place. I went in feeling hopless. I am bipolar and I had anger issues and etc. I come out a changed person I can feel the peace within myself. Miriam my therapist was awesome. She had so much to give I had so much to learn but you have to be willing to listen. I think the therapy that you get at Holistix is probaly the best part. They are really good at what they do Iam home now and still clean thanks to this place. I have so many skills now. Thanks Holistix And Cathy the main moma (LOL) is the most awesome director that anyone could have shes a beautiful woman. Inside and out.

I had a resentment at first but the more I engaged in treatment I found out that they were just trying to help me. The one on one help saved the day . I could not believe that people cared so much about my future and guided me to my new self. Jason goes above and beyond for his community in the short time of being here I have worked a solid aa program, got a sponsor, did step work and made significant growth in all aspects of my mental, physical, spiritual well being! The trauma group runs three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I'd been to programs that mentioned trauma-informed care and then gave it maybe one session. Here it was built into the schedule in a real way, with a dedicated trauma therapist. That frequency made a difference because you actually had time to open something up and then come back to it before too much time passed.

Overall great faculty, would definitely recommend patients to commit to PHP IOP here, all the facilitators are super helpful and hold very informational groups, Dr Nicole and Pastor Dan played a big role in my recovery and pushed me to do better every step of the way I highly recommend seeking help advice and opinions from them as well.

Summer house Detox is just such an amazing place the staff are nothing but amazing and great with everyone the staff there go above and beyond their food is great they have inside chef’s cooking fresh meals from the driver Shawn from the moment he picked me up I knew I was going to a great place and I’ve never done any detox ever in Miami but summer house is just a great pace for detox the medical staff are always making sure you are ok and the techs are awesome and the housekeep staff are awesome the techs Jen , Tyler, Shawn, are so awesome I have really enjoy every minute of being at summer house I feel just right at home the techs really above and beyond for all the house guest I truly appreciate everything since day one I’ve been here and if anybody ever needs a place to detox that’s clean, safe and where you will feel like home then summer house in Miami is the place to get the help you need
