I just finished my first visit with my new cardiologist, Dr Deepika Misra, at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. I was a little nervous going to a new clinic and engaging into a new relationship with a new doctor. The whole experience was amazingly easy and and very welcoming. I did most of my check in online in My Chart and the receptionists were very professional. My waiting time was last than ten minutes and I was getting my vitals done by a doctor assistant and her trainee. Both were very polite and efficient. They confirmed my meds from the list on My Chart and gave me EKG. Dr.Misra arrived moments later and right way i realized that I was in good hands! She asked me the correct questions and offered me educated answers. The doctor was so nice and polite and was even concerned about my sleeping habits that she want to know how many pillows I slept with! I am not a hypocondriac but I am looking forward to my next appointment. Well done doctor. Alex

I want to express my deepest gratitude to two exceptional nurses, Ernest Knight and Asley Fernández, on the 4th floor. My mother recently underwent major lung surgery, and during such a difficult and painful time, they treated her with incredible kindness, compassion, and dedication. Ernest cared for my mother throughout her first night after surgery. He was attentive all night, constantly checking on her, making sure she was comfortable and that her pain was being addressed. His patience and gentle manner gave us so much peace of mind. Asley cared for her the following morning with the same extraordinary compassion. She was attentive to every detail, helped bathe her, kept her comfortable, and treated her with genuine love and tenderness. As a daughter, there is nothing more comforting than seeing your mother treated with such humanity during a vulnerable moment. Ernest and Asley are truly wonderful nurses, and Mount Sinai should be very proud to have them. Our family will never forget the care and kindness they showed my mother. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️

I've had the pleasure of being under the care of Dr. Chris and Dr. Emily at Miami Comprehensive Wellness Center since 2017. After years of frustration with numerous doctors who either misdiagnosed me or pushed prescription medications without exploring natural options, I finally found a team that truly listens and cares. My chiropractor at the time referred me to this center, and it's been one of the best decisions of my life. From the initial consultation, I felt heard and understood as Chris and Emily took the time to address my concerns and identify the root causes of my health issues. They offered natural solutions that have made a significant difference in my well-being. Even after relocating out of state, I continue to prioritize my care with them due to their exceptional expertise and trustworthiness. The entire staff at Miami Comprehensive Wellness Center shares their compassion and dedication to patient wellbeing, making it a truly unique and supportive environment.

I was referred to Doctors Emily and Chris (both are MD's) 8 years ago- and have never looked back! I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in both knees in 2015, preventing me from walking without significant pain. When Baptist Hospital's top sports medicine surgeon told me there was nothing he could do, I turned to Emily for regular acupuncture treatments. I soon was able to get back to running as much as I wanted and am able to compete in at least 5 half marathons each year...completely pain free. However, what is even more amazing about Emily and Chris's practice is the thoughtful and holistic view they take toward solving medical issues. Their keen intellect, curiously and creative thinking skills allowed them to help me solve mysterious neurological issues (in 2020) and throat issues (2023) that no other doctor (primary care, urgent care, ENT, immunologist, neurosurgeoun, emergency room) could figure out. My only mistake was not going to Emily and Chris first- rather than wasting precious time and money on traditional medicine doctors who weren't able to think "outside of their own box". Utilizing cutting edge testing protocols, almost exclusively natural supplement regimens and a relentless drive to figure out the true root causes of my medical issues (they are truly "medical detectives"), Emily and Chris worked wonders to bring me back to full health. The name of their practice could not be more apt: if you're looking for "comprehensive wellness", I can't imagine any other place to start. I refer friends regularly to MBCWC- and can't recommend Emily, Chris and their wonderfully caring staff enough. Best wishes and good health to all!

From the moment I brought my son to AWA, I knew we were in the right place. I was exhausted, constantly worrying about my teen and the risky behaviors he was engaging in. Every discussion became an heated argument with no resolution. Immediately after admission, AWA had a treatment plan in place for us. We finally had a safe place to share our issues, without fear, judgement or harsh criticism. During my son’s treatment at AWA, I always felt that all the staff had his best interest truly at heart. They genuinely cared about him. I found the parent support night extremely helpful and learned so much. However, my son’s therapist, Nicholas, was truly our lifeline. He is down to earth, knowledgeable, kind, helpful and has a special talent for counseling difficult teens. He genuinely cares about his clients. He also was a great role model for my son. Had it not been for Nic, I don’t believe that my son would have completed the program. I always felt that I was very much included in my son’s plan of care. Nic has a talent for keeping parents up to date without breaking client trust. Post AWA, I feel like I have my son back! I'm eternally grateful to all the Dr. Maria and all her staff. I can honestly say Transitions is the best recovery center I’ve ever been to. They are definitely not like other rehabs and I’ve been to many different places. What sets them different: there’s no judgement, you actually see your therapist, a psychiatrist, case management, and medical doctor 1-2 times a week, the groups are very beneficial and THEY TRULY CARE!! That’s by far the biggest thing. Staff all go out there way to care for us whether big or small. Housing is beautiful spacious apartments and weekends we do deep cleaning. Everyday there’s an outside meeting and H&I on property everyday but Sunday. Sundays we do outings as a community like the beach, top golf, or bowling. It’s a great way for us to all have fun at the end of the week. Shout out to the staff: Lori-Ann, Austin, Will, Maxime, Michael, Winnie, Summer, Tay Tay, Manny, Art, Dr. K, Jeff, Dr. Seely, Jennifer, and Shelly. Yall make this program worth being apart of. Unlike any other place I’ve been to, the staff treated me with such a graceful and welcoming attitude. The whole facility maxes out at about 25 people so groups and therapy are all tailored to you. From the very head of principles down to the drivers you get the same consistency in willingness to help. Facility is ran smoothly with attention to detail including cleanliness. I highly recommend this to anyone I know in a similar situation especially if you’re indecisive on narrowing down the complex recovery network in South Florida.

This review reflects my experience with the wonderful team, including Maria T. Montoto, Dr. Borrego, Dr. Copola, and Bella. Maria T. Montoto, the Practice Manager, has been one of the most dynamic and helpful people in the practice. She has shown me exceptional attention, compassion, and support, going far beyond what is normally expected. She made what could have been a logistical nightmare with appointments and consultations feel simple, organized, and effortless. It is easy to see why the practice runs so smoothly. Thank you a million, Maria. Dr. Borrego has provided me with professionalism, compassion, and truly attentive care. Her warmth and understanding make it easy to speak openly and feel heard. She has made a difficult experience feel reassuring and positive, and I am very grateful for the trust and confidence I have in her. Dr. Copola has become a tremendous asset to my care and to the practice. He has been seeing me and providing thoughtful assessments on behalf of Dr. Borrego, and I have been extremely impressed by his ability to listen, understand, and evaluate each situation thoroughly. He is kind, compassionate, attentive, and exceptionally professional. I always feel comfortable speaking openly with him, and I greatly value the insight and care he brings to every assessment. I have been to a lot of Dr.’s offices in my life but today, I can truly say that I had the great pleasure of being helped by Juana who may I add is a phenomal young lady that not only was she very polite, sweet, professional and empathetic to me and my daughter, made my first visit with this office very warm and welcoming. Knowledgeable and kind are the two words that best describe the staff at Atlantic. Jeanie was amazing, over the months she helped improve my ankle strength after a bad break and tear. Knowing I’m a runner, she focused on getting me back into running shape, and strengthening muscles to make sure I was less prone to injury as I got back into my training. So lucky to have worked with her. Stephanie was always so kind and understanding over the months of scheduling. Making it easy to request additional sessions through my insurance. I’m so happy to have chosen this location for my recovery and while I hope to never have to go to rehab again, if life throws me a curve ball, I know who I’ll be reaching out to :)
