I've had the pleasure of being under the care of Dr. Chris and Dr. Emily at Miami Comprehensive Wellness Center since 2017. After years of frustration with numerous doctors who either misdiagnosed me or pushed prescription medications without exploring natural options, I finally found a team that truly listens and cares. My chiropractor at the time referred me to this center, and it's been one of the best decisions of my life. From the initial consultation, I felt heard and understood as Chris and Emily took the time to address my concerns and identify the root causes of my health issues. They offered natural solutions that have made a significant difference in my well-being. Even after relocating out of state, I continue to prioritize my care with them due to their exceptional expertise and trustworthiness. The entire staff at Miami Comprehensive Wellness Center shares their compassion and dedication to patient wellbeing, making it a truly unique and supportive environment.

I was referred to Doctors Emily and Chris (both are MD's) 8 years ago- and have never looked back! I was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in both knees in 2015, preventing me from walking without significant pain. When Baptist Hospital's top sports medicine surgeon told me there was nothing he could do, I turned to Emily for regular acupuncture treatments. I soon was able to get back to running as much as I wanted and am able to compete in at least 5 half marathons each year...completely pain free. However, what is even more amazing about Emily and Chris's practice is the thoughtful and holistic view they take toward solving medical issues. Their keen intellect, curiously and creative thinking skills allowed them to help me solve mysterious neurological issues (in 2020) and throat issues (2023) that no other doctor (primary care, urgent care, ENT, immunologist, neurosurgeoun, emergency room) could figure out. My only mistake was not going to Emily and Chris first- rather than wasting precious time and money on traditional medicine doctors who weren't able to think "outside of their own box". Utilizing cutting edge testing protocols, almost exclusively natural supplement regimens and a relentless drive to figure out the true root causes of my medical issues (they are truly "medical detectives"), Emily and Chris worked wonders to bring me back to full health. The name of their practice could not be more apt: if you're looking for "comprehensive wellness", I can't imagine any other place to start. I refer friends regularly to MBCWC- and can't recommend Emily, Chris and their wonderfully caring staff enough. Best wishes and good health to all!

I can honestly say Transitions is the best recovery center I’ve ever been to. They are definitely not like other rehabs and I’ve been to many different places. What sets them different: there’s no judgement, you actually see your therapist, a psychiatrist, case management, and medical doctor 1-2 times a week, the groups are very beneficial and THEY TRULY CARE!! That’s by far the biggest thing. Staff all go out there way to care for us whether big or small. Housing is beautiful spacious apartments and weekends we do deep cleaning. Everyday there’s an outside meeting and H&I on property everyday but Sunday. Sundays we do outings as a community like the beach, top golf, or bowling. It’s a great way for us to all have fun at the end of the week. Shout out to the staff: Lori-Ann, Austin, Will, Maxime, Michael, Winnie, Summer, Tay Tay, Manny, Art, Dr. K, Jeff, Dr. Seely, Jennifer, and Shelly. Yall make this program worth being apart of. I would HIGHLY recommend joining this fellowship! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I came through once, had an amazing g experience, and after a while of doing well, I unfortunately fell off. When I was finally ready for help again, I had moved back to Ohio, and the only way I’d go back to treatment is if I came back to Recovery Unplugged in South Florida. Clinical staff is phenomenal, my therapist Brendan was amazing, and I HAVE to give a shoutout to alumni team, who still keep me a part of a community long after finishing treatment. My alumni coordinator, Tonya, is absolutely amazing. She makes sure that I still stay a part of an amazing community long after I finished treatment. I’ve been at AWA for 7 months and a miracle it was, and at first you might hate it—you might not want to come. In my experience, I was hesitant, skeptical, and filled with anxiety because of my past experiences with mental health facilities. But AWA is different. It’s such a great clinic, and I’ve learned to love it here. The staff truly care about you and your family, and you’ll come to feel connected with the other clients. Some days you won’t want to go because it’s 20 hours a week and you might be tired, but if you engage and take your treatment seriously, you’ll find that coming every day is worth it. Yes, there is little to no drama, and even when it happens, no one holds a grudge for long because we’re always there for each other. Plus, they won’t leave you in the dark after treatment—they make sure you have a plan afterward. They also let clients be very involved in their treatment plans, and many of the rules can change if the majority of the group agrees. I also love how inclusive AWA is—from race, to gender, to sexuality. The staff will help and counsel you even if you’re crying in group. I know that sounds obvious, but the facility I used to be in didn’t do that. I remember crying in group and one of the facilitators pulled me out to counsel me, and when I was overstimulated, they gave me earplugs to help. At the end of my treatment, I would say AWA definitely helped heal me, and I would recommend it to anyone going through mental health problems it has been truly a blessing.

Unlike any other place I’ve been to, the staff treated me with such a graceful and welcoming attitude. The whole facility maxes out at about 25 people so groups and therapy are all tailored to you. From the very head of principles down to the drivers you get the same consistency in willingness to help. Facility is ran smoothly with attention to detail including cleanliness. Pines Recovery Life was absolutely the best choice I could’ve made to get sober and help save my life!  I’ve been struggling with alcoholism for approximately 15 years with limited success staying sober. I live in Savannah, Georgia and decided to attend treatment for my alcoholism in Broward County Florida for a new environment. Originally, I had difficulty finding a high medical detox facility that accepted my insurance due to my medical condition. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer this past March. Fortunately, Pines Recovery Life is one of the providers in my network with CHAMPVA that also provides a medically supervised detox program. The entire staff and my case manager went above and beyond to accommodate all of my medical needs. This included assisting with transferring my medical records from the cancer center in Savannah to a local hospital within 20 minutes of the rehab center, maintaining my doctor’s appointments, and most importantly ensuring that I was able to still continue on schedule with my regular chemotherapy sessions while completing my addiction treatment. They provided transportation to all of my appointments and even stayed with me for emotional support throughout the visit. This facility provided me with my own personal room with a full bathroom in the room with a queen bed! They went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible throughout my treatment process! I was assigned to a therapist with expertise in addiction services who provided me with the tools to maintain my sobriety, moving forward along on my recovery journey. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone struggling with alcoholism or addiction!

I know everybody has individual quips with recovery centers. But the BHTs, the head honchos, therapists and group facilitators MAKE THIS FACILITY WORTH IT. ERICA IS A RIDE OR DIE THERAPIST. Cynthia, Chloe, Teresa, Claudette, Jose, Karl, Lala, Donald, Sheila, Gale, Rich, both Mickeys, Ismael and Indy...I have so much love for these people and I hope I'm not forgetting anybody haha. David and Ashley run a tight ship and bring clients to church, to AA/NA meetings...so what if it isn't 5 star luxury hotel! We're getting fed good food, and it's way more than the streets were giving people. I wouldn't have made it through this difficult time had I not come back a second time. Give credit where credit is due; these people CARE. I would recommend wholly, give it a chance and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The staff were great and caring food was good especially compared to other facilities I've been too. The rooms were comfortable at most times depending on the roommate. The bath facilities could be a bit better but again definitely seen worse. Nobody likes going to treatment, but they made the uncomfortable more comfortable.

I feel that this facility gives great customer service and good quality physical therapy. The employees always greet you by name when you walk in the door (kinda like in “Cheers” if you’re old enough to remember that show). The staff is nice and makes it a pleasure to come. They are not overbooking their employees and give each patient personalized attention.

It's a combination of all different departments of this program that were very helpful to me along the way into my new journey to a better way of life. At Clinical, Therapists put their heart into making sure to help you unlock what started it all, classes give you knowledge on your mental state, what brings you to your rock bottom or this sick cycle of addiction. Back at housing was surrounding yourself with the people who really want to get help and are not shy to sit down and share their stories with you and relate with you on different levels. Techs are down to earth so it makes it easier for you to vent what's going on with you at the moment but blunt /real enough to help you decompress and snap out of whatever you're going through at that moment. All staff genuinely want you to grow and live life on life terms and become who you were suppose to be without the use of drugs. Heidi is the Bomb! I love her to death, to see her be there for everyone. The heart she has for helping people in this fellowship and newcomers at Comfort is one of a kind! I'm grateful to have her in my life, someone you could look up to, no matter what!

i love my stay here because of how much the staff helps the clients and bond with us and if anyone ever felt down we knew we could reach out. my sweet Andrea’ (spelling?) was the BEST TECH. she loves me like her own and i am forever grateful to her for being there and loving me when i struggles to love myself!

It's not just about the facility it's about the staff and clinical team and comfort has by far the most experienced and caring team I have ever met.. I highly recommend if you have any family or friends that are struggling with addiction reach out to comfort recovery... #wedorecocer
