Florida shuffle, YES, 100!!! This is the worst place possible you could ever send your loved one to. I know because they watched my son die, getting high right in front of them. When he first arrived there, I was told by his "therapist," Leon, who was actually only an intern in social work, NOT counseling, that I would be allowed to have contact with my son while he was there. That was just one of many lies I was told. Leon would not even allow me to speak to my son on Christmas Day and couldn't even tell me if he received the Christmas present I sent to him.They also put a claim into insurance for over 300,000 dollars for his short 42-day stay, and then they didn't even have the decency to call me and inform me that my sweet boy passed; I had to hear that from a police officer, because they were too busy covering themselves. The hottest place in hell is reserved for you!!!!Please, please do not send your loved one here if you care about their well-being. My son never received the treatment he asked for and lost his life because of it!!!
I've heard mixed experiences from other but I can speak for myself that treatment has been intense and careful from staff. I personally recommend it.

Inpatient Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
Aftercare Support Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
Medically Assisted Detox The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m).
