Telehealth and In-Person BHS Services in a Full-Service Hospital Setting
Norton offers services through telehealth and inpatient care to address psychiatric conditions and support SUD treatment through therapy and medication. I like that they offer BHS services at both their Kentucky and Indiana locations. They also provide you with long-term care referrals if their treatment program doesn’t provide the complete level of care that you may require.
When you arrive at Norton, they will assess your current conditions and determine whether acute overnight care may be required for a mental health crisis or addiction. As a full service hospital with emergency care, they will admit you for overnight care to attain stabilization of your conditions.
You will be monitored by trained medical and psychiatric professionals during the duration of your stay. They may provide you with medication to ease your symptoms from withdrawal and to stabilize your mental health issues.
Coordinated Care with Your PCP
Before you complete your acute care, their team will work with you and your family to plan for your next level of treatment. They will also work in conjunction with your PCP to make sure your additional conditions are being properly managed and cared for, and to inform your PCP of any crisis care you are receiving.
Specialized BHS Program for New and Expectant Mothers
This center also offers a specialized program for women experiencing behavioral health issues. They specialize in assisting new and expecting mothers and aim to stabilize any mental health issues they are experiencing before and after childbirth.

Levels of Care
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
