I went to this place for 3 days and it was the worst experience I've ever been through. I went there for depression and suicidal thoughts when I first went in there they had confiscated my stuffed animal cookie monster because they said I could harm myself with it. I sat in a cold hall for 2 and a half hours waiting to be searched and nobody came to talk to me. When somebody did talk to me a adult male yelled at me and called me a idiot telling me what I was doing that I belonged in the day room after that I got up and he pushed me down into the room. Then they made me strip down into my underwear to check me while grabbing me firmly and turning me around making me feel uncomfortable as possible after that they put me in a room full of kids from 5 years old to 17 that where all screaming cussing fighting and crying for there parents. Most of the kids in there where abused in the same way as me this is not a place you said somebody to get mental health this is a place u send somebody to mentally break them down and traumatize them. The food there was not served according to my medical allergies and dietary plan. And when we would take shower and get ready for bed they gave me and the rest of the patients DAWN DISH SOAP to use for bathing they treated me and other patients like prisoners they got many people's medical papers messed up over and over the first night I stayed there they tried forcing me Adderall and other medications that where not mine but another kids. PLEASE DO NOT SEND UR CHILDREN HERE it is not a place to get help its a mental prison. I couldn't even imagine spending a 4th night there my mom took me out because of how many screaming and cursing of the staff she heard while talked to her on the phone and I cried bugging to come home she finally got me after the staff and people lied to her saying she couldn't get me. Again give your babies therapy and attention please do not send them here and save them from trauma and ptsd.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

I was a long and short term resident as a child and that's a whole story in itself, but I gave them another shot with my child since it's been over 10 years. My daughter was there this year 4 times, each time under the care of Dr. Davis. She lied to me multiple times about my daughter's evaluations being done, ran around with her meds and did things like increase a dosage, remove the med, and then try to restart it again within a 3 week timeframe. She waited and ran around until the last 72 hours of my daughter's long term stay to do her autism evaluation, and lied saying it had been completed months before. I begged them to address her increasingly aggressive behaviors, especially after she started targeting other children on her until, knowing she has siblings at home. Once insurance ran out they had me come get her with no real continuance of care or contingency plan. When I was told to bring her back after her long term stay, she was in short term exactly one week. Her paperwork says she was removed against medical advice but I never agreed with that or signed anything saying anything remotely like that. This place is here to charge your insurance, throw useless drugs at your child, and then get aggressive with you if you question them or call them out. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO GET ACTUAL SERVICES.
