About Pyramid Healthcare Inc. – Hammonton

Pyramid Healthcare Hammonton is an addiction treatment center in Galloway, New Jersey, that is designed to support adults who are seeking detox and residential treatment services for drug and alcohol addictions. The drug rehab facility accepts Medicaid, commercial insurance or state and county funding for payments.

Pyramid Healthcare offers medical detox, medication assisted treatment, residential treatment and speciality treatment. Some of the most notable residential treatment programs available at the clinic involve counseling service, holistic therapies, recreational outdoor activities, anger management courses, life skills workshops, motivational interviewing, individual or group counseling and case management services.

Holistic treatment programs at the facility include courses that focus on hiking, meditation, yoga and nutrition management. Personal financial management training is also available, and there are programs designed specifically for patients with an extensive criminal history.

One important thing I noticed about this facility is their response to negative online feedback. Rather than denying criticism, the facility responds in a way that’s both empathetic and understanding. It appears that the staff is interested in constantly improving, upgrading their processes, and changing any policies that cause more harm than good.

Their policies and practices are completely illogical and is poorly run... I called this place ahead of time, and I was reassured my sister would get her meds, especially if she came with scripts. They said even if it required sending her to the hospital to hold her over. But once she was in the place, suddenly they needed 2 days to fill a script but they said they were willing to give her meds to hold her over till her script is filled, but this temporary bridge to hold her over would take 24 hour to start, WHY?!?! She came on these medications with prescriptions so there's no reason to make her wait 24 hours, and what kind of place can't fill a prescription for several days. Meanwhile, I can take my script to a pharmacy and have it filled within 30 minutes... Nothing made any sense, bad policies. They even sent her to some crappy hospital that couldn't fill the scripts either, she need suboxone, shes there to get off opiates and they can't get her subs even tho she has a script instead they offered her Percocet 10mg... the drug she's trying to get off... and send her back to the rehab.... so she discharged herself because of this nightmare and then they said they couldn't give her stuff back, she had to come back to pick it up... so few days later I call being her brother explain I need to pick her stuff up for her, they say OK and tell me the hours to come between to get her stuff. But once I'm there they tell me they can't give it to me without my sisters permission, they literally tell me to call her and ask permission, then 2 min later wen I have my sister on the phone they say they can't accept that because it could be anyone... IT WAS THERE IDEA... And to make things worse they tell me they can't find her stuff. And that they would try to find it by the time I came back with my sister.... 0 STARS...

This place ain't bad the the counselors are nice and help with your recovery and your aftercare. The food is good the food and the portions size is good. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is cuz it gets boring there most of the day. Program is laid back though.

So I guess it's okay to steal people's personal items? They stole a prescription cream I had , and other things out my bag. How broke and low do you have to be to do that? Trash

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive a full continuum of care while continuing to live at home. They're often ideal for clients who are stepping down from inpatient care but some clients may prefer to transition into outpatient treatment immediately after completing detox. Many outpatient facilities also offer ambulatory medical detox for low-risk clients. Outpatient treatment generally includes psychotherapy and life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs engage in a rigorous process of personal growth as a cornerstone of long-term recovery. They are expected to attend anonymous, peer-led 12 step meetings, which are free, open to the public, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Though these programs are rooted in spiritual principles, religious affiliation is not required. Self-selected peer sponsors mentor participants as they work through the 12 steps, learning forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and accountability.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in New Jersey provides a setting where you can withdraw from alcohol or drugs under close monitoring of experienced medical staff. These trained professionals can intervene at any time if needed. They can prescribe medications to reduce cravings and physical discomfort. Mental health professionals are also available to address any emotional and psychological challenges you experience as you begin your recovery journey.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

This company was chosen to Transport my sister to a Wound Care Doctor and the first Transport was okay the first day Only! My sister's Dr. Appointment is every Friday. When I scheduled her next ride the young man Mikie (Miguel) got fresh with his mouth and I told him that I would report him for being disrespectful and he canceled my sister's Transport on May 23, 2025 and again cancelled my sister's Appointment for for May 30, 2025. I called my Insurance and she gave me another number to call and I got a different Transport Ride for my Sister. My sister is a Amputee for members on both of her feet. She is now receiving Wound care in her feet were there are holes forming and Mikie and Svetlana thought it would be fun playing with my sister by cancelling her Appointments every week. When I asked for a Manager or Supervisor or anyone in upper management, Svetlana said there were no Managers, but said she would have a Supervisor call me but of course that never happened! I pray to my Father God that He deals with both employees at Pyramid Health Transportation and I pray that nothing is wrong with my sister's Leaking Feet because she was not able to be seen by her Doctor. God will take charge in dealing with Mikie and Svetlana for abusing the Elderly and there healthcare. Beware

I JUST LEFTTHIS JOKE OF A REHAB TODAY If I could give 0 stars I would... I've been here twice and the first time I was here they said they'd fix the mold problem (which they never did) I also was left without a ride from them which insurance covers and had to pay a 200 dollar Uber... I was 3 hours away from where I live and nobody at pyramid gave a rats ass.... BHTs and counselors have gotten even worse in the past two months.... I WILL BE CALLING IN A HEALTH INSPECTOR TOMORROW along with getting a lawyer and coming after every last problem there is.... KITCHEN CREW DOESNT WEAR GLOVES OR HAIRNET yet 100A% of the male kitchen crew have long beards.... it's disgusting and unacceptable Wear a mask here seriously you will get sick 110% they let people with covid just quarantine in rooms.... They also let guys who are in such bad shape bleed and other bodly fluids come out their bodies.... BTW I was thrown out because I couldn't give a urine within 10 minutes which is complete bullshit anyway because I never had a reason to be randomly tested in the first place... BEWARE OF ED HES THE HEAD OF PYRAMID HE LIES RIGHT TO YOUR FACE and for three rest of the staff they can't be trusted either... Not once have a gotten the same answer twice from any employee... YOU ARE BETTER OFF IN A HOMELESS SHELTER THAN PYRAMID plus they lied to my family and shorted me on cash I hadSO PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!! too bad I didn't have a phone to take photos of the inside of this place

Indeed keeps rejecting my review of this place, so unfortunately, I will have to post this here. Most staff and management show up to work every day because they want to help others on their journey to recovery. Unfortunately, most upper management are not and will never be on the same page. The nursing department is for the most part a horrible joke, because they're mostly comprised of agency nurses who have no idea what they are doing day-to-day because they are never routinely there. Delayed med passes and med errors are rampant, and nurses are frequently snotty, rude, apathetic and verbally abusive to residents. Clients are frequently neglected, or wait in the detox unit for days just to have their intake done or see a physician. Nursing does not do rounds or take patient vitals while they are detoxing. Management gets notified about all of this all the time, and they generally do not express concern or care. They say have no power to do anything about nursing, and that the DON has to enact disciplinary action and/or implement changes. They tell staff that all they can recommend is for staff and clients to file grievances, so the DON can review them and implement discipline and changes as they see fit. The DON is also NEVER THERE to respond to the grievances, so nothing ever changes. Kitchen staff are always severely short-handed, grossly underpaid and food and supplies are always understocked. Staff in the kitchen department are often forced to pay for food and supplies out-of-pocket, and Pyramid refuses to compensate them. Often, the food is poorly prepared, undercooked or raw. The cafeteria is almost never cleaned or sanitized properly, and staff will permit residents to clean it themselves. Women are frequently reserved less food and forced to a calorie deficit while the men get second or even third portions at every mealtime. BHT staff are never provided with the appropriate tools to do their job. They're expected to run therapeautic groups, and can't access a computer or printer to search for or print materials needed for them. Training for group facilitation is nigh on non-existent, and Pyramid refuses to supply material other than Just for Today, which is usually reserved for NA meetings. Upper management falsify daily schedules for clients, listing groups that do not exist, or that BHTs are not certified/are ill-equipped to be able to facilitate. How does one facilitate art therapy, without art supplies, for example? Without proper training in even the basics of Art Therapy? Counselors and case managers frequently do not show up to facilitate groups that they are assigned to facilitate, and then BHTs are expected to compensate for them not doing their job and are threatened with disciplinary action if they don't. Management is consulted all the time about all of these issues and more, and upper management refuses to implement any changes to create the structured, healing environment that the clients deserve to rehabilitate in. I'm glad that I resigned, but I am sad for anyone who tries to get well, here. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, please look elsewhere for treatment.
