About Pyramid Healthcare Inc. – Hammonton

Pyramid Healthcare offers medical detox, medication assisted treatment, residential treatment and speciality treatment. Some of the most notable residential treatment programs available at the clinic involve counseling service, holistic therapies, recreational outdoor activities, anger management courses, life skills workshops, motivational interviewing, individual or group counseling and case management services.

Holistic treatment programs at the facility include courses that focus on hiking, meditation, yoga and nutrition management. Personal financial management training is also available, and there are programs designed specifically for patients with an extensive criminal history.

One important thing I noticed about this facility is their response to negative online feedback. Rather than denying criticism, the facility responds in a way that’s both empathetic and understanding. It appears that the staff is interested in constantly improving, upgrading their processes, and changing any policies that cause more harm than good.

DO NOT GO HERE. With in the first 10 minutes of being past the waiting room there was about 20/30 girls fighting while the techs cheered it on. I was almost hit a cigarette receptacle that someone threw at another client. Everyone was put in lock down and since I didn't get my linens or personal belongs yet, I sat in a room with just an undressed bed freezing because they keep it so cold. I was told I would see the PA within 2 hours, but didnt see anyone until 10 o'clock at night after threatening to leave for not getting proper medical care. (I had just come from a 3 day hospital stay and needed my seizure medications). First group I had, the tech leading the group was nodding out the ENTIRE time. Literally walked out for a second to sniff another line. Her excuse was that she was a drug addict for so long she still nods out sometimes. They also really seem to not like white people in my opinion. The staff is constantly fighting with the staff and clients. They over medicate you DRASTICALLY even if you ask them to slow down. The hospital said to take my meds every 6-8 hours and these people were having me take it every 4 hours, even early sometime. Literally nothing to do but pace the hallway and go for a smoke break every hour where you are constantly harassed and bullied by the other clients for cigarettes. I could go on and on. This is the first time I have EVER ama-ed. No one gives a damn about your well being here. The staff is despicable and only cares how much money they can make by keeping you there as well as giving you meds you don't need to upcharge your insurance.

My counselor Brian was amazing. Really really a great counselor and a great person. I feel the facility needs to be renovated as it is a little rundown and could use some work. The BHTs work very hard for what they are paid. (Often bringing us things out of their own pockets like cigarettes and arts and crafts and things like that.) The nursing staff is amazing. Stephanie the head nurse is one of a kind and really went out of her way to make me feel very special... The only reason I did not give five stars as the aftercare staff is really understaffed and the one worker that is assigned to the short-term unit is new to the position and spread very thin. This leads to clients feeling like they're not getting the attention they deserve or need. This isn't necessarily her fault but Pyramid definitely could improvement in that area in my opinion.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive a full continuum of care while continuing to live at home. They're often ideal for clients who are stepping down from inpatient care but some clients may prefer to transition into outpatient treatment immediately after completing detox. Many outpatient facilities also offer ambulatory medical detox for low-risk clients. Outpatient treatment generally includes psychotherapy and life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Linden Oaks' Residential Stay Program offers additional support for those who may benefit from a structured living environment. A patient's stay may vary from a few days to 30 days ago. The program includes group, family and individual counseling.

12-step icon12-Step

Participants in 12 step programs engage in a rigorous process of personal growth as a cornerstone of long-term recovery. They are expected to attend anonymous, peer-led 12 step meetings, which are free, open to the public, and available multiple times per day in most communities. Though these programs are rooted in spiritual principles, religious affiliation is not required. Self-selected peer sponsors mentor participants as they work through the 12 steps, learning forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and accountability.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in New Jersey provides a setting where you can withdraw from alcohol or drugs under close monitoring of experienced medical staff. These trained professionals can intervene at any time if needed. They can prescribe medications to reduce cravings and physical discomfort. Mental health professionals are also available to address any emotional and psychological challenges you experience as you begin your recovery journey.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

I went to thia facility to detox from fent and tranq. I also was on prescribed meds that I needed and was not given. The place looks like a jail, it’s dirty , the “counselors” aren’t even certified. DO NOT GO HERE! I came closer to death there than I ever did using Drugs which is sad. They LOST ME IN 17 DEGREE WEATHER IN SOCKS AND JEANS. I GOT SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY TWO SEPERATE MEN AND LEFT TO DIE IN THE SNOW IN ATLANTIC CITY. They never reported me missing. My family has to fly from FL to NJ to come to the hospital while I was on my death bed with hypothermia and sepsis and the withdrawals. The hospital had to do a spinal tab to make sure there wasn’t permanent brain I couldn’t walk talk or see. My memory was blank until things started triggering my memory. This was all while I was supposed to be under THEIR CARE. I wish my memory didn’t come back after what happened to me bc of this facilities medical malpractice.

They started out strong when they first opened but each year since, have been going steadily downhill in all areas. I’ve been a patient and an employee at this specific location. This place is run like a jail. And most of the clients are mandated to be there. The grounds outside are frequently disgusting with trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Management cares about one thing. Profits and getting sued. The kitchen is completely disgusting and overrun with many types of pests. The entire facility is completely unsafe with maybe 2 behavioral techs to watch about 75-100 individuals. I’ve seen many physical and verbal altercations that could have been avoided had the staff have proper training. The clients berate staff and get away with it. The people that run this institution and the clients they let in are mostly bullies. There’s some really good therapists here but the doctors are inappropriate and overwhelmed.

This company was chosen to Transport my sister to a Wound Care Doctor and the first Transport was okay the first day Only! My sister's Dr. Appointment is every Friday. When I scheduled her next ride the young man Mikie (Miguel) got fresh with his mouth and I told him that I would report him for being disrespectful and he canceled my sister's Transport on May 23, 2025 and again cancelled my sister's Appointment for for May 30, 2025. I called my Insurance and she gave me another number to call and I got a different Transport Ride for my Sister. My sister is a Amputee for members on both of her feet. She is now receiving Wound care in her feet were there are holes forming and Mikie and Svetlana thought it would be fun playing with my sister by cancelling her Appointments every week. When I asked for a Manager or Supervisor or anyone in upper management, Svetlana said there were no Managers, but said she would have a Supervisor call me but of course that never happened! I pray to my Father God that He deals with both employees at Pyramid Health Transportation and I pray that nothing is wrong with my sister's Leaking Feet because she was not able to be seen by her Doctor. God will take charge in dealing with Mikie and Svetlana for abusing the Elderly and there healthcare. Beware

Their policies and practices are completely illogical and is poorly run... I called this place ahead of time, and I was reassured my sister would get her meds, especially if she came with scripts. They said even if it required sending her to the hospital to hold her over. But once she was in the place, suddenly they needed 2 days to fill a script but they said they were willing to give her meds to hold her over till her script is filled, but this temporary bridge to hold her over would take 24 hour to start, WHY?!?! She came on these medications with prescriptions so there's no reason to make her wait 24 hours, and what kind of place can't fill a prescription for several days. Meanwhile, I can take my script to a pharmacy and have it filled within 30 minutes... Nothing made any sense, bad policies. They even sent her to some crappy hospital that couldn't fill the scripts either, she need suboxone, shes there to get off opiates and they can't get her subs even tho she has a script instead they offered her Percocet 10mg... the drug she's trying to get off... and send her back to the rehab.... so she discharged herself because of this nightmare and then they said they couldn't give her stuff back, she had to come back to pick it up... so few days later I call being her brother explain I need to pick her stuff up for her, they say OK and tell me the hours to come between to get her stuff. But once I'm there they tell me they can't give it to me without my sisters permission, they literally tell me to call her and ask permission, then 2 min later wen I have my sister on the phone they say they can't accept that because it could be anyone... IT WAS THERE IDEA... And to make things worse they tell me they can't find her stuff. And that they would try to find it by the time I came back with my sister.... 0 STARS...
