I wanted an addiction treatment center in PA that wasn’t one-size-fits-all. Here, they actually combined therapies and addressed the mental health side alongside substance use. That blend mattered, my anxiety was part of the picture, and they treated it that way.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Pennsylvania can be helpful to individuals who are experiencing substance use disorder and various mental health conditions. It helps you identify damaging thought and behavior patterns and replace them with healthy ones.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

Incorporating recreational therapy into drug and alcohol addiction programs in Pennsylvania helps you rebuild your life and maintain sobriety by discovering new interests and developing healthy coping mechanisms. Recreational activities can include painting, team sports, and hiking to promote physical and mental health.

Back-to-back meetings and school pickup meant in-person wasn’t realistic, so I switched to Blueview Recovery’s Virtual IOP. Evening sessions from home made it doable with one-to-one check-ins kept me progressing even on chaotic weeks. I didn’t lose momentum just because I couldn’t commute.

Response from the owner
Thank you, Austin. It’s great to hear that our online options provided flexibility while keeping you on track in your recovery journey. We’re glad to see your dedication paying off.

Choosing Blueview for my 6-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) was the single best decision I made for my health and future. The facility itself is clean and modern yet comfortable. It provided a safe and supportive space where I could focus entirely on healing. The entire staff, particularly Maureen, Anthonia & Kieran, were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I truly felt like I could ask them for anything that I needed and they were always there to offer above and beyond assistance. Blueview’s IOP curriculum is highly comprehensive and effective, in my opinion. I gained so much, particularly through the daily group session where each day was a different focus, yet subject matter all intertwined to create a solid foundation to understand how to get healthy. This program provided me with the practical tools and the confidence I needed to step into a purposeful life in recovery. I highly recommend Blueview to anyone seeking real, lasting change. Also, their snack kitchen abundance and variety was A+++.

Response from the owner
We appreciate your kind words and recommendation more than we can say. Our IOP is focused on combining structure, personalized guidance, and real-life skills so that recovery feels both attainable and empowering. It’s inspiring to know the program and staff made such a difference in your journey.

I came out of detox needing structure but not a hospital bed. Blueview’s IOP hit the sweet spot, three sessions a week, about nine hours total, plus family work so home wasn’t a trigger minefield. It felt like training for real life, not living in a bubble. Exactly what I wanted from outpatient rehab.

Response from the owner
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Our intensive outpatient program in Philadelphia is designed to provide structure and support while also preparing individuals for real-life success outside of treatment. It’s encouraging to hear that the balance of care and flexibility met your needs along the way.

I know some pretty amazing people who work here. Being in a vulnerable state where I remember feeling so small and defeated, it is so important to have support in treatment.. people who can relate, who listen and understand and who truly care is everything. For this reason I would recommend Blueview recovery without a doubt!

Response from the owner
Thank you for your feedback. Having people who listen, relate, and provide encouragement can make a big difference in recovery, and we’re glad you felt that level of support.

If you ever have the opportunity to talk to Kim, attend one of her groups, or hear her perspective- please do. She is a bright shining light and has helped so many people.
