About BayMark Health Services – Parkside Treatment Center

BayMark Health Services – Parkside Treatment Center is located in Jacksonville, Florida. They provide treatment for anyone dealing with an opioid addiction. Medicare and TriWest are accepted. If you’re underinsured or uninsured you’ll have the option for self pay.

The program has been designed to treat each person’s individual needs. Medication assisted treatment is offered in conjunction with substance use counseling. The medications that are available at the center include methadone and buprenorphine. During your individual therapy sessions the therapists will work with you to determine the starting point of your addiction. They will help you process past experiences and provide helpful skills to process difficult times and fix relationships.

The first appointment will be the longest, lasting anywhere from two to three hours. They will conduct a medical assessment and testing at that initial appointment. I like that his facility is able to coordinate services for women who are pregnant. Other supportive services offered for adults include case management, discharge planning, services for addiction and relapse prevention.

We dont have one!! So were CLEAR all of these remarks are about MedMark/BayMark the company that owns this clinic. This USED to be the best clinic in the city, no in all of north Fl. NOW This has turned into THE WORST CLINIC IN THE CITY If you dont care about people DONT DO THIS TYPE OF JOB!!!! The clinic only does what corporate MAKES THEM DO. corporate dont you make enough already?? Pay attention to when reviews are left. You're not gonna find good ones from the last 2 months because MedMark is a bunch of thieves! If you miss a day they still charge you as if you went & got your medication. Don't get admitted to the hospital cause Medmark will still charge you and run a bill up on you as if you were there and got your meds. Then of course the hospital also charges you for the medication. They're charging 4 medicine you don't even get. They close all the time usually about 3 days a week which means you gotta come up with money for take homes for sometimes 3 days at a time. How is it our problem you cant staff your clinic accordingly? Its not yet you found a way to make it our problem and a BIG ONE! They don't have staff to stay open 7 days a week, if they did then 15 a day wouldn't be a problem but because THEY CANT WE HAVE TO SUFFER threw not dosing if we can't come up with 3 days worth of money at once. and they're gonna charge you for it anyway!!! They gave us NO NOTICE that charging was gonna be stopped today. Not a call a text an email nothing. And since they bill us even we dont get our meds some of us had to charge a day MAYBE 2 and pay it when we get paid. They stopped it with no warning no notice so that people could prepare and Well corporate you makes millions you clearly profit quite beautifuly off of people who have to have this medication to live but you go so much lower than that by charging us even if we arent able to make it that day. NOBODY WANTS TO MISS!!! If we miss is because there is no other choice. Then they charge you anyway and without giving you the medication they just charged you for!!! They literally punish us by with holding our meds if we're short due to having to come up with 3days worth of dosing at 1 time. Then they turn around and bill you if you can't afford to go!!! That doesnt even make since!! This place has gone straight to hell with these new policies MedMark has forced on our clinic and it's only getting worse. They think it's fine to play with people's lives and health. Some of us work everyday and have bills and kids and can't come up with 3days of dose money all at once. They do not care at all. Mary was the best thing that ever happened to this place and they fired her for caring too much. If it wasn't for Camilla being the BEST counselor in the world, 1 of the best people i have ever known in general whom i trust with any and everything i would have left and may have to now that MedMark is literally stealing from us. How is it legal to charge people for medication your with holding??? Not 1 person here agreed to pay for treatment, NOR WILL WE!!we agreed to pay for the medicine. If we were paying for treatment everyone would pay the same amount but liquid pays a different amount than diskette people, and suboxone people cuz we are paying for the medication. WHY WOULD WE EVER AGREE TO PAY FOR TREATMENT INSTEAD OF THE MEDICATION??? NO CLINIC IN THIS STATE DOES THAT!! Were not as stupid as MedMark wants us to be. No way that's legal charging for medication that was never given, It can't be. this is disgusting. Drug dealers are more reputable then Medmark. I've gone here a long time this is the only time ive ever felt like i dont matter like my feelings arent valid i literally feel exploited and it takes a special kind of evil to exploit and make things harder on a person struggling to recover from a disease that can and will kill me Medmark is really making it to where its not worth it anymore they're adding to stress & our financial hardships!! Medmarks actions make it obvious that they don't care about people they only care about making as much money as possible!

MedMark are scammers! They charge you even if you can't make it for a day. Then they close a few days a week forcing people to come up with multiple days of dose at once & if you can't, you suffer threw not dosing but they still bill you as if you got your medication. They cut off charging with no notice at all. So we have to cover their butt when they don't have staff to be open by having to come up with several days at once and now for the first time ever we can't charge. We get punished for their short comings and that's completely unacceptable. Thats corrupt!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

They are scammers. Charge people for days they do not even go there. Constantly raising prices. They are just as bad as the drug dealers. I do not suffer from the addictions but see what this place is doing to those who do .

The staff is cool the sad thing is they care more about money then the actual patients this is the only clinic that will charge you for NOT coming in but when I first started you were able to miss 3 days now starting last month they are charging even if you don’t come it’s sad when you can’t afford it and you have to pick paying bills or methadone really pathetic they don’t make enough money off of us but they have enough money to keep hiring new staff tho that’s cool tho why would they care about the patients that’s just crazy they are as bad as drug dealers at this point

An incredible staff from Mary (GM or Site Director), to several of the counselors, and medical staff overall. Most importantly multiple different treatment options/medication, that can truly not only stabilize, but change your life completely! I wish you the very best in your journey.

Have only been here a few weeks and have never been to another clinic so I have no basis of comparison but I see no real flaws with this office. Everyone treated me like an equal, which is difficult to find in this industry. The entire staff from doctor to nurse to counselor was kind, funny, and caring. There was no cold judgment or irritation. The intake was efficient and I’ve never had to wait in line in the morning, I’ve always been the only one here (though I bc one around 9.) The insurance they take is limited, they take very few companies, which makes it pretty expensive ($200 upfront for subs; $15 a day for methadone.) Other than that, highly recommend.
