This 451 bed hospital was founded in 1961 and is part of the Emory Healthcare network, an academic health system and the most comprehensive in Georgia. The hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services, including emergency care and crisis intervention for clients experiencing a mental health or substance related crisis.
They offer detoxification and stabilization, as well as inpatient and outpatient addiction and mental health treatment programs for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Emory accepts health insurance from most major providers, including TRICARE, Medicaid, and Medicare.
Recently Renovated Behavioral Health Facility
The behavioral health facility has 30,000 square feet and is separate from the hospital and recently underwent a $22 million renovation. The center offers advanced treatments, such as ketamine infusions, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMC). Clients who come in through the emergency room and need additional behavioral health treatment will be referred to the behavioral health facility.
