About Eleanor Health

Eleanor Health Rehab in Durham, North Carolina is an outpatient drug and alcohol rehab for adults. You can receive their services in person at the clinic or you can log in to access care online from anywhere. The team provides treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The services provided address the physical, mental and emotional issues related to addiction. Some of their primary treatments include therapy, peer support and medication assisted treatment.

Your first counseling session will focus on understanding your personal history to get an idea of what treatment approach would be best. In future sessions the counselor will check in on your progress and adjust the treatment plan when necessary. You’ll learn new skills that’ll help you with managing your addiction. The types of therapy the counselor will use are mindfulness exercises, cognitive behavioral strategies and other therapeutic interventions.

The medication assisted treatment (MAT) services available at Eleanore Health Rehab are designed to treat opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder. The medications that may be administered to you include buprenorphine, naltrexone and disulfiram. Your medication reduces your cravings and withdrawal symptoms but is not the only part of your treatment plan. In addition to those services you’ll also receive therapy, health coaching and other forms of ongoing support.

Eleanor Health Rehab provides you with community recovery partners who are trained to guide in your recovery journey. They will share their experience with addiction and mental health and support you without judgment. Accepted Insurance

Eleanor Health works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Clinical Services

Clients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy in North Carolina typically attend five to 20 sessions. During this time, they work with their therapist to learn healthier patterns of thinking, which can help them change their behavior related to substance use.

Men and women enjoy a supportive environment within group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. You can share your experiences and build connections with your peers while receiving encouragement from individuals who have faced similar challenges.

You usually develop a strong bond with your therapist during individual therapy sessions. This helps you explore the underlying causes of your substance use in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Therapists help you develop effective coping strategies you can use in the community and improve your self awareness so you understand your addiction triggers.

I have had a very positive experience with Eleanor Health, I left a message with their answering service during their off hours and someone actually called me back which I thought was amazing, being able to see someone telehealth that takes my insurnace is a Godsend. I love the little things they do such as their giftcard giveaway program for attendance, its great, I was able to win a gift card that provided me some essentials that Im not able to afford while im out of work. I think as with any treatment provider patients feeling comfortable is paramount. I would say if you arnt comfortable with someone within your treatment team don't be afraid to ask to be seen by someone else. Communicate with your team. Im very thankful for the kindness and effort of Eleanors staff. From the person that answers the phone and schedules appointments to the physicians. This company has it together.

It has been a very long battle with my demons. And it's still A battle but I'm alive and if it wasn't for the people at Eleanor just taking the time and listening to me. Being a cry baby and complaining about everything and everybody, they have a heart they care. I love all of them If it wasn't for them I don't think I'd be here. I'm still plagued by Damon's, but I know that somebody is there and they care. They've heard me cry and seen me cry. But they took the time to listen and you think people are looking down on you because i am a drugie Not these great people Doctor runklin. My new psycDoctor Stacie Chad is a wonderful guy. They all were great, but he has taken time and he didn't have to and I know he didn't but he did. I can't say Enough.you guys saved my life and you still are cause I'm still fighting if it weren't for you guys. I don't think I'll be here, so thank you very much. And I love you very dearly and never will forget you such a blessing and thank you

Ashley Campbell is my dr and she has been amazing. I’ve also had several times I missed an appointment and they would get me in with a nurse or on call dr to make sure I never went without my medication. Just overall they are very helpful with my addiction struggles and never made my drug addiction feel shameful.
