About Evoke Wellness – Hilliard

Evoke Wellness is an behavioral health treatment center in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio called Hilliard. The city is well known for its preserved historical district and the Early Television Museum which gives a unique glimpse into the past. The proximity to the state capital of Columbus allows you easy access to metropolitan services and attractions as you undergo rehabilitation. The number one priority of Evoke Wellness is your emotional wellbeing.

They provide a full range of services from residential treatment to outpatient and aftercare support programs. You receive guidance and support throughout treatment that has proven to work. Your treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation that supports a customized plan. The multidisciplinary team includes licensed physicians and nurses, therapists, counselors, psychiatrists and support staff. Many team members are also in long term recovery. They understand your journey and can offer the compassion and care that make a significant difference in your recovery.

In their residential treatment program you’ll receive 24-hour supervision as you learn how to substitute bad behavioral habits with healthy coping strategies and transition to a life of sobriety. They also offer a dual diagnosis program if you’ve been diagnosed with a co-occurring mental health condition and substance use disorder. Integrated and simultaneous care is crucial since these conditions typically affect each other.

Your tailored plan may include an intensive outpatient treatment program that helps address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of behavioral health conditions. You’ll transition into an aftercare program once your formal treatment has been completed. Recovery is a lifetime journey that requires commitment. You and your therapist develop an aftercare plan that might include recovery centered meetings, prescription medications and a plan for your life after treatment. Aftercare programs help you avoid old habits by providing a support system that helps lower the risk of relapse.

The behavioral health programs help you make a seamless transition into your daily life. They also provide an extensive library of free ebooks that can help inform you about topics related to addiction like preparing for residential treatment, having a conversation with your boss or how to explain lapses in employment. They work with many Insurance programs and will verify your insurance coverage before beginning treatment.

Our family member did not have a good experience here apart from the gourmet food. The chef was excellent from what I heard. The initial phone call was with Evoke was awesome. They were kind and helpful. When we arrived at the facility for the interview, nobody was aware we were coming yet we had a scheduled appointment.🙄. I then quickly learned that the people I had spoken to initially (and thought would be there to meet with us in person!) were based out of Florida, where corporate is located! Nobody ever mentioned that beforehand. Hilliard's Evoke staff barely even spoke to or looked at any of us during "intake". It was 2 hours of almost complete silence except for "sign here"/"sign there". It felt horrible leaving him there. I kept saying, "I think we made a mistake!" Oh yes, we certainly did! They refuse to tell you anything about cost up front no matter how many times you ask! Beware...its VERY EXPENSIVE if your insurance doesnt cover it . They quickly sent him a bill for $11,500.00 for the 3 WEEKS he was there. Seriously...!!!??? I got so many conflicting calls from several of the staff during his stay. Some of the staff were nice but others were highly unprofessional, had terrible communication skills, and were very rude (but are somehow are getting paid to be "therapists"). They should not be working in this field or with people! They kicked him out after 3 of the 4 weeks of his program and stated it was because he wasnt "talking enough" in the sessions; however, 90% of the notes from the sessions said he WAS in deed, participating and they also had very positive feedback about him. I had told the staff over and over that he just doesnt talk much and never has, so he was doing great to choose to be there and participate.🙄Besides he is a 20 year old male so what do u expect??!!! One of the staff had informed me over the phone that he hadn't complied with anything AT ALL nor was he going to ANY meetings. I said, "That's strange, because the director and other staff have stated the opposite- and that he just doesnt talk enough". She was very rude to me during the entire call although I stayed very calm and maintained a professional tone and attitude. I'm sure she is the one who lied to the director and other staff and got him kicked out. Strange thing is that she never DIRECTLY worked w my son. Not to mention, that the few meetings he didnt make it to was because he was VERY SICK in bed and was being seen and treated for an upper respirstory infection! He had been shot in the chest and head a few weeks prior to his admission to Evoke and because he was telling his story to another client about what had happened to him (after they asked about his noticeable 3" scabbed-over wound), she accused him of "bragging" about it! Wow! He survived being shot for no reason and that was her take on it. He was thankful to be alive! They tell you when you sign up that you can go to as many or as few meetings as you CHOOSE. They never said he would get kicked out if you miss a few meetings, if he didnt "talk enough", or if he was too sick to go. They refused to respond to records requests over and over again which should all have been released IN FULL to him when he asked in person before he left there. They gave him very little of the info to take with him when he was released. He then wrote a letter to request ALL OF THE records be sent but they refused to respond until the 4th time we reached out. THE RESPONSE: TEXTED me that he would have to send another request!! STILL DONT HAVE ALL THE RECORDS AND AT THIS POINT I DONT CARE BECAUSE IT HOLDS NO VALUE TO US. This place did more harm than good and only added more unnecessary stress and frustration.

Accepted Insurance

Evoke Wellness – Hilliard works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Treatments

Dual diagnosis treatment addresses addiction and concurrent mental health issues using an integrated approach to ensure that both are treated simultaneously. An undiagnosed or untreated mental health condition may increase the risk of addiction and make a person's mental health worse. Evoke Wellness treats these as interconnected conditions and provides comprehensive care that tackles the complexity to improve recovery outcomes.

An alcohol use disorder (AUD), also commonly called alcoholism, can range from mild to severe. It involves compulsive consumption of alcohol and maladaptive patterns of drinking that lead to negative physical, social, and relational consequences. Diverse treatment programs are available for people with AUD. Mutual-support groups, medications, and behavioral treatments are provided through alcohol rehab in Ohio. If co-occurring disorders are present, it is important to receive treatment for both disorders.

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Almost 2 years dealing with billing…. No one answers the phone or returns voicemail messages, repeatedly billed for the same thing under different invoice numbers despite the fact they had already sent an invoice reflecting our insurance payment (next invoice will show same charges for same dates of service, different invoice numbers and show zero payment from insurance with a$116,000.00 balance due upon receipt…. I have called every number dealt with multiple people and have documented every conversation yet it NEVER stops…. Account was paid in full 15 months ago and yet again today I receive a $116K bill. Unbelievable…. Only 1 star because -10 stars wasn’t an option…. Total fraudulent billing practices!
