About Harmony Recovery Center

As a part of their intensive outpatient program (IOP), patients have freedom and personal responsibility while also receiving structure and support in maintaining their sobriety. Staff members will help clients develop a productive daily routine. The facility offers the patients the option of staying in partnered supportive housing or staying at their own homes. Clients will attend the treatment program either in the morning or evening. They’ll participate in individual and group sessions where they’ll focus on developing skills that will support them in maintaining their sobriety.

The medication assisted treatment (MAT) available at Harmony Recovery Center is designed for clients who’ve been unable to maintain long term recovery. The drugs that are used to help clients deal with withdrawal symptoms are Suboxone, naltrexone and Vivitrol. This program will usually last one to six months. Patients participating in MAT will be required to participate in one other treatment program such as the partial hospitalization program (PHP) or the outpatient program.

Worse experience and treatment that I have ever seen in 37 years of recovery. I drove 9 hours Wednesday night to take someone to treatment in Newport, TN which is part of this same organization . Got there and it was not the place in the pictures that were on line so I put my friend back in the vehicle and we drove 9 hours back home. This was a bait and switch as our company lawyers said. They call it deceptive advertising. We paid 30 grand up front and then they refunded us the money all but 2100. They said that this was the processing fee. Second my buddy has a bad back and they assured me that there were no stairs. When we they got there they said that his bedroom was on the 3rd floor and they have no elevator. This place should not even be able to be open. I will be putting an article in the A.A. grapevine and reporting this to Better Business Bureau. Please stay away from here. My buddy is a disabled veteran and so am I and will be reporting to disabled veterans of America also. I have left several messages with people that said that they were in recovery before we went and now they will not call back. This tells me a lot about there program and recovery. I do not know how they could sleep at night with the lies and deception they do. I should have known that this was shady after reading about Jeff Turiczek and . Dr. Deja Gilbert. This is what Better Business Bureau says about them. Harmony Recovery Group, LLC is NOT a BBB Accredited Business. To become accredited, a business must agree to BBB Standards for Trust and pass BBB's vetting process. I have also filed a complaint with the Tennessee medical board for bait and switch and for not providing elevators. I just also filed a complaint with joint commission. I just sent off a letter to the white house about this company ripping people off and doing a bait and switch and for employees that I talked to for lying. I am going to the media next. They wouldn’t even respond to BBB. Here is response from BBB. From: BBB Serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean To: Subject: This complaint has been closed without response from the business. Obviously they are not a credible business and I would suggest anyone to stay away. Thank you for submitting your complaint with us. Dear This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 8/25/2025 against Harmony Recovery Group, LLC. Your complaint was assigned ID 23795642. My experience with Harmony House has been very positive for the most part. The facilitators Brad, Teia, Gail, Michelle, Byron, Sara, Antonia, and Jarod are all incredible. They truly take their job seriously and do it with love. The coping mechanisms I’ve learned from have truly helped me. I would recommend these facilitators to anyone looking for mental health support.

This place has saved my life. It helped me get my life back together. It's helping me with my mental state and my way of thinking. The staff is amazing. Richie and Stephanie do what ever they can to help. I recommend this place to everybody I know and meet. Ms Peggy got me into this place when I needed it the most. And I owe my life to her and a few other people here. My husband and my mother in law are going to be here soon.

Accepted Insurance

Harmony Recovery Center works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

A sober living home in North Carolina offers structure and support to help individuals maintain sobriety. The home is free from substances and offers 12-step programs, individual responsibilities, and mutual support with others in recovery. This setting can provide a lifeline as individuals strengthen recovery skills and prepare to reenter mainstream society. Most residents remain in a men's or women's sober living home for six months or more.

Often used as a "step-down" option after you've completed a residential or inpatient program, the partial hospitalization program (PHP) typically involves a minimum of 20 hours of treatment per week for approximately 90 days. Programs offer structured programming that includes relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services. Insurance coverage for PHP treatment varies among insurance providers.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

You usually develop a strong bond with your therapist during individual therapy sessions. This helps you explore the underlying causes of your substance use in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Therapists help you develop effective coping strategies you can use in the community and improve your self awareness so you understand your addiction triggers.

If you're struggling with insecurity about your ability to make changes in your life, motivational interviewing in North Carolina could be a good solution. This type of therapy offers support and empowerment to help you explore your options and decide how to move forward with positive changes.

Routine tasks are difficult for someone experiencing addiction. Daily skills deteriorate, which makes it harder to achieve recovery. That's why drug rehab programs in North Carolina reteach basic life skills. This gives you the tools you need to manage daily life without returning to substance use.

During nutrition therapy in North Carolina, you'll work with a nutritionist to develop a dietary plan. Medical professionals will provide input based on your health needs. You'll learn to create goals for nutrition and develop the skills you need to meet them.

When you participate in experiential therapy in North Carolina, you'll harness creative expression to release negative emotions and experience positive ones. This happens through hands on interventions such as music, art, animal care, culinary arts, and drama.
