First of all, I worked for and retired with the DOJ Federal Bureau of Prisons and this place is nothing more than a PRISON that hides as a freakin hospital. Secondly, you need permission to go and out of the building. I volunteered to visit this place and they wanted me to leave my personal belongings in a clear plastic box and they wanted to wan me down with a metal detector. Third, their bathrooms look and function just like a PRISON. Forth, across the street is a mom and pop security company that’s taking advantage weak and innocent citizens. DO NOT TRUST these HOSPITALS they are not here for our best interest. They DO NOT CURE ANYTHING the only treat for the benefit for making more and more money.

They claim to be in the business of helping ppl but refused to take my son in a genuine physciatric emergency just bc he doesn't have insurance. Greedy people. Guess they'll only help you if you're rich enough or poor enough for insurance. Screw us middle incomes we dont matter right?

This place refused to give my mother any of her phone calls. They took her to the hospital on a Sunday morning and I called Sunday afternoon and talked with Brooke, who reassured me, my mother was up and running around when my mother was taken to the hospital at 8 o'clock in the morning and none of her family was informed. You call you get nowhere. There are patient right advocates or not for the patients, if they were, they wouldn't send letters to cover their butt again.I've never met more ruder staff during my mother's intake, which took 5 hours. We weren't given any visitation, information or call information. Every time we called the floor I got an answering machine. So did my sisters, we were never allowed to talk with my mother, and she was on a geriatric floor my mother stated to us why she was in the hospital. If she didn't wake up, they wouldn't wake her up. And she'd miss her meals. Tried reaching out to the administration fell on deaf ears. So I contacted corporate, which i'm going to do again because they're patient rights advocate.Kayla, does that mean some kind of bogus letter covering their butts. This letter is gonna fall on deaf ears. I'm going to move heaven and Earth. To make sure the people in this facility, our heard and their rights are abided by while I was there. A gentleman was waiting patiently to visit with his son and because of the staffing problem. That this facility has they cut into his visitation time. One would have thought they would have made it app, but no, they got the gentleman. All upset and again. It's his son in this facility. They have no empathy, no caring, I was spoken to you by staff rudely Dropping my mother's belongings off let's talk to you rudely, and they didn't even check-in my mother's stuff with me. So again, that shows me it's a janky facility. That doesn't follow protocol. Most facilities have somebody there when you're checking in their belongings. So you know what's on the list and nothing gets stolen. But this place because of the staffing problem, they're just rude and make it out to be AU. Problem, when it's their problem again, I thought it was a nice facility until my mother got out of there. So if you want somewhere that, if your loved one isn't a medical emergency. And you don't want them to get ahold of you. Take them to Maple Heights, because their staff is uncaring unprofessional, even the professional higher-ups can't do their job. I will say this till the cows come home. The administration, there it's disgusting. And when you're putting your loved one in someone else's care. One would think they would reach back out to you instead of send a letter full of lies i wouldn't put my dog in this place!!!

Accepted Insurance

Maple Heights Behavioral Health & Addiction Treatment works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab provides intensive, round-the-clock care and is designed primarily for clients who have just completed detox, those in early recovery, and those at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment typically includes extensive psychotherapy that draws on various modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Clients also learn the recovery-focused life skills needed to promote sustained recovery. Many inpatient drug rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies like meditation, yoga, massage, and experiential therapy.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Persons who require high-level support but who do not wish to leave their homes or communities may enroll in an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients typically commit to a minimum of nine treatment hours across three therapeutic sessions per week, but many programs offer up to 20 hours of care weekly. Most intensive outpatient rehabs provide a combination of psychotherapy, recovery education, and holistic care. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is widely available for those in alcohol or opioid recovery.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) can provide intensive rehab on a short-term basis. While PHP treatment typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance. The program duration can vary to meet your specific needs and require you to meet for a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. PHP Treatment services often include relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group counseling, and other behavioral therapy interventions.

Some staff were extremely rude. One in particular was Drea. I have ptsd and went nonverbal so I tried to get help and she just stood there and berated me and tried to force me to talk. Stephanie would cuss at the kids while they were having breakdowns and whatnot. Constantly there would be fights and I got jumped on my first day. They would try to silence us and control what we said on the phone or during visitation. IOP is great though, but inpatient is terrible.

My daughter was in here, only allowed 3 sets of clothes. They lost an entire outfit shortly after she arrived. No offers to replace or anything. Pathetic.

When I was there, my first night I had an "encounter" with another patient. That night I was "blocked" from having a roommate. The one staff there that was mostly understanding was Phil. When I was there, the patients called him Dr. Phil. He was very funny and understood me andy situation. Then, I met my now ex girlfriend there. Her name is Kaylee. We were both 17 years old. Long story short: it didnt last long at all. The only good part about Maple Heights is the soda machine. Other than that, I was traumatized every day by something different or someone. I honestly wish I never went there. I hated every minute of it.

Maple Heights is an Acadia affiliated facility. Look up Acadia in the news and you will find out all of the info you need about this sinister company, including the active lawsuits. Our experience with Acadia mirrored the findings of the investigative reporter from the New York Times. They will keep the patient beyond what is medically necessary for the profits. Acadia is a for-profit healthcare company. Profits first, patients last.
