Accepted Insurance

Maple Heights Behavioral Health & Addiction Treatment works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab provides intensive, round-the-clock care and is designed primarily for clients who have just completed detox, those in early recovery, and those at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment typically includes extensive psychotherapy that draws on various modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Clients also learn the recovery-focused life skills needed to promote sustained recovery. Many inpatient drug rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies like meditation, yoga, massage, and experiential therapy.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Persons who require high-level support but who do not wish to leave their homes or communities may enroll in an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients typically commit to a minimum of nine treatment hours across three therapeutic sessions per week, but many programs offer up to 20 hours of care weekly. Most intensive outpatient rehabs provide a combination of psychotherapy, recovery education, and holistic care. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is widely available for those in alcohol or opioid recovery.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) can provide intensive rehab on a short-term basis. While PHP treatment typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance. The program duration can vary to meet your specific needs and require you to meet for a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. PHP Treatment services often include relapse prevention strategies, medication management, individual and group counseling, and other behavioral therapy interventions.

When I was there, my first night I had an "encounter" with another patient. That night I was "blocked" from having a roommate. The one staff there that was mostly understanding was Phil. When I was there, the patients called him Dr. Phil. He was very funny and understood me andy situation. Then, I met my now ex girlfriend there. Her name is Kaylee. We were both 17 years old. Long story short: it didnt last long at all. The only good part about Maple Heights is the soda machine. Other than that, I was traumatized every day by something different or someone. I honestly wish I never went there. I hated every minute of it.

Maple Heights is an Acadia affiliated facility. Look up Acadia in the news and you will find out all of the info you need about this sinister company, including the active lawsuits. Our experience with Acadia mirrored the findings of the investigative reporter from the New York Times. They will keep the patient beyond what is medically necessary for the profits. Acadia is a for-profit healthcare company. Profits first, patients last.

Do NOT use this facility if you’re a veteran. I was skeptical when my husband was sent here, but kept an open mind. The management is abysmal, communication between staff is nonexistent, get told three different things. It is just a chaotic money grab. There’s no “medical” staff, only psychiatric. They released my veteran husband and the Psych Provider “Patty” lied to us several times and said she couldn’t send his scripts to the VA. She PRESCRIBED those medications. We had to drive to the VA, turns out she just didn’t want to do her job and make a simple phone call. I was told to pick up my husband at 10am Saturday. They had no idea why I was there and I had to strongarm them so they would release him.. two hours later. Never ever using this place again

My son called this Maple Heights Behavioral Hospital to see if the had a bed open for chronic alcoholism/ mental issues. They told him to go to Dupont hospital for detox and to be medical cleared and evaluated and get a referral., which we did. Then they refused him saying he did not meet their criteria., and they dont treat addiction., where their website clearly says they do. He has suicidal thoughts people clearly he needs a duel diagnosis. I believe he is being discriminated against due to his insurance being medicaid. Lutheran health network is FOR PROFIT organization and don't give a shit about low income people. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY!

I spent 15 days here my longest impatient stay, out of 5 hospitals this was by far one of the greatest the staff were very involved with each individual patient and made an effort to create a home like environment. I got more then needed treatment including medication management and more. The food is alright better than expected but nothing fancy. 5/5 stars for me!
