There are so many things to say about Rediscover. Let's start with Nancy, April Gardner's nurse. She is completely unprofessional and inappropriate in her interactions with patients. When she calls you back to check you in, she is supposed to check your BP and weight, but Nancy always asked a lot of prying and unprofessional questions and makes comments that make you feel even worse about yourself than you already do. Like when she is talking to a college student that is struggling to get back to school, she tells about her nurse's training experience and how those who dropped out "were a disgrace". Or when you mention that you are trying EMDR therapy and she can't stop laughing because the nodes used in EMDR remind her of vibrators. The front desk is often rude and unprofessional. The lady on the right has no idea what she is doing, but when she asks one of the other employees for help they look at her with disdain and act extremely put out that she can't do the job. This should not be on full display for the people in the waiting room to see.April Gardner is nice enough, but we could not seem to make any progress after several months of seeing her. When asked how to step it up to make better progress, she said the only way to fast track to get better was to go into the IOP program so you have access to the "world renowned psychiatrist", Dr Khan. It felt like an upsell rather than genuine help.Bottom line, if you are struggling with mental health issues, please don't waste your time here. I know it is very difficult to get in to see psychiatrist and the waits are long but it is worth the wait to find better professionals.

i went here for a few months for medicine management with april gardner. she s just alright with meds i wouldn t recommend her for anyone who is having a really difficult time.her nurse nancy was my biggest issue. her comments she d say made me not want to come in they made me so uncomfortable. she one time asked me specifics about my trauma and it made me very uncomfortable since she seemed like she was entertained by the bad things that have happened in my life. she would make comments about weight after i d ask to not be weighed. she started talking about vibrators (yes that kind) to me for a long time. she knew i had taken time off from college and talked about how the people who dropped out while she was in college were a disgrace

My son was in a deep depression and went there for help. He found some very rude employees who refused to assist him in any way. I will never forgive them for how they treated him before his untimely death.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trust the reviews you read on here, it’s amazing how hard it is to get good mental health help.

Looks like I am one of many who had a negative experience at this location. People are coming in with a very delicate mental state, yet I've experienced better customer service at Starbucks. Lindsey T. has a Masters in social work, but she ironically had poor social skills. She was very cold and awkward. At one point, I even started crying during the assessment, and she didn't show any empathy; quite robotic. She was not communicative as to what was going to happen next. She didn't even say goodbye or wish me well. Also, the 2 offices I went into were chaotic. The decor was all over the place and random. Both looked like children's rooms and not in a cute professional way. Again, people are coming in with a delicate mental state. We need calm and orderly. It should showcase that we can trust them as professionals.

The cops who carried out the wellness check on me had a rediscover lady with them. She said someone would call me the next day and that i am not alone. It has been 3 days. I couldve been dead by now. These people either dont care or dont have nearly enough funding to actually help people.

This rediscover doesn't actually assist or aid you. It's just about them getting their payment. When you have a disability and you get made fun of for it? "Next time we're on the ramp I'll just push you and let you go." We were at a hospital for this and yes that's terrifying. But oh that's great for mental health right?

My experience is solely based upon my therapist. She missed more appointments than I did and kicked me out because of "attendance" if you have recurring health issues don't waste your time here because they don't care about you. 3 months were telehealth but she refused to do it when I as the patient asked. ADA Violations for sure. How are they receiving grant money for this? YOU DO MATTER!!! Find a place that makes you feel as such!!!!

I have debilitating adhd and cannot get meds here. It really sucks. I used to get them at University health. They are biased against poor people. Only gave two stars because the walk in clinic and my therapist is cool. But there policies are messed up. Its not med seeking if you have a legitimate diagnosis.
