It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. The aftercare they have is one of a kind. The staff is amazing. There are far too many to list individually. It is truly the staff in the facilities that have kept me sober. The one huge thing I disagree with though is upper management. They have definitely become more about money than the patients. They only accept bcbs for insurance, so unless you have a lot of money, don't bother coming here. There is no breakfast to speak of. It is not about comfort I guess Nicole Little 3 months ago I am currently in MRC’s Phase 2 program I have been through the 30 days in residential and 60 days in Phase 1 a structured sober living with peer support. The nurses and peer support were fantastic at detox always there is you need anything. Or just a shoulder to cry on. At phase 1 Tyler and Jermaine were awesome people to be around the peer support there. You could talk to them about anything and they drove us to meetings all around the metro. I am now living in one of the two phase 2 houses. I have a great job, that I love. Making rent every month and still saving at the same time because rent is so affordable. I had to stay here due to indifferences at my house. My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The other Veterans are kind. My case worker Irene was very hard on me at first lol! After I was admitted in she was kind and loved all of us. Integration was easy. Irene will help you get more % to help in your case. She is there for you. Use her and let her know how you feel. She has been working there for 15 years (KC,Kansas). What an accomplishment. There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you. You have to do chores but they aren’t large duties. Roger will be on you. It’s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good. Breakfast isn’t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn’t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a “suggestion box” downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room. The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. Through this programming, you can expect an intensive outpatient	Treatments Programs Payment Options AlcoholismDrug AddictionMental Health and Substance AbuseOpioid AddictionSubstance Abuse Young Adult ProgramLGBTQ ProgramTeen ProgramAdult ProgramChild Program Private InsuranceMedicaidSliding Scale Payment AssistanceSelf-Pay OptionsMilitary Insurance	I was here from January-2025 to August-2025, honestly it was a good experience, alot of things happend to me that were out of the staffs and in bosses power, as in other clients behavior and such, but unfortunately I did get harrased and assulted by other clients but when i stated that, action was taken immediately, they would separate the client from the other(s), and even though it may have not been far, it was better then being traumatized, these "bad" reviews have too of been caused by bad past staff or a lying child, and I was there as I was 14, I was first on the unit champions& Defenders, but maybe 1 week after, my group switched units with champions (Our sister unit) and we got renamed, but as i stayed kids came, and kids went, but I had a good experience overall, and the meals are okay, I feel like the portions should be increased a little for each unit depending on age group, everyone got the same amount, but alot of kids there would do about anything for extras, even in small amounts, I was one of them sometime but it was always 50/50 whenever I ate, I feel as bedtime is WAY too early for 13+ as its 7:00PM for bedtime, as it is healthy but it was extremely hard for me too get up in the mornings because of the time, the beds are really low on the floor if ur in building 3[unless it has been renovated by now] and in building 7, the beds are a normal height, Anthony Servantez 11 months ago I was a client At TLC for at least six months and then discharged honestly for me I had a great time I have no idea these parents are talking about the one in the first photo I was there for that kid the only reason why her therapist told her no for the headphones was because they were working on headphones and then when they got unit headphones she refused to use them for the second one a hold is mandatory you cannot blame the staff they're just doing their job and if your child wouldn't have struggled then she wouldn't have so many bruises apologise but I was here for both of these kids both of these kids were in the wrong during their stay because the one that got into the hold tried to fight a staff so of course the staff has to put them in a hold because that's physical aggression and then as soon as the staff tries to put them in the hold she struggles which causes them to hold her tighter and make them stay longer the more she moves the tighter they get the girl that got bullied because of her autism she did not get bullied because of her autism she got bullied because she would cuss people out she would cuss therapist out obviously I had the same therapist so I can put this on put in that therapist was like the best therapist in the world like I have him again before that therapist left he spoke so many good things about your daughter he spoke good about your daughter even though she did so many bad things to him I'm not saying “this is the kids fault” because basically if I'm saying that I would be telling myself that same thing I'm saying that didn't help your kid and that was your objective go to another place I've been to 2 places TLC and pathways send them to another place if they don't do good especially kids in foster care the caseworker is obviously going to send them to another place if they're not doing better after discharge please this place is done so many good things for me I literally struggled in the beginning I got in so many holds in the beginning so many runways in the beginning as time progressed I got better and they finally let me out and I wasn't in a hold for like 3 months Alexandra 1 year ago I used to go here when i was 13/14... and for everyone who has had a bad experience placeing there child here just know as for every place it has its good and bad times. I was forchinat enough to be placed here when it had a good staff systume shout out to ,Michaelis, Doug dear, Melissa, mr Tiny, mark and meany more. I also made a tone of friends who i still keep up with to this day aswell. I had the chance learn alot about myself and my problems and left a better kid who was confident and well more behaved and I still use what I learned there to this day and I'm 30. I'm unsure how the place is doing almost 20 years later or who is working there but this place randomly popped up in my my head and i just felt the need to look it up and leave a review. Being able to learn from one another has been an important part of my recovery. The staff at Recovery Village is truly amazing. And Mrs J she was a gentle lady, loved us all. And Mrs T and Mrs S they were also night staff, a little clumsy with their jobs and how to do things but overall such great care! And there was another staff member she was a nurse Mrs H and she loved me a lot, and always made me smile! and Mr H he always gave great life lessons! and Mr C he does well at his job, but hated a lot BECAUSE he does his job. He get a lot of criticism and that's hard to handle 247! And don't forget MRS R my therapist, she did an amazing job she needs a raise, hahaha! And they had an amazing horse program, I won't say anything anout the therapists though, I didn't have an exact connection with those lovely ladies. Anywho, this Ellie, I discharged 4-26-26 it's almost been two months! And I've been doing amazing with all the hard work you put in to me! Helped me when I was deep in my addiction to see the light and life was worth living... They saved my life... Helped me get sober and taught me skills to cope with the stressors of life rather than drinking and drugging... Help me get back on my feet and get my life back thru counseling and meds and a handful of resources... Got me on Medicaid and some meds to help with my craving and with draws... We made a plan to set some goals now I'm working and staying at a sober living house with hopes of being in my own place sooner than later... This program gave me so many tools to continue my recovery and maintain my sobriety. Anthony was my counselor and I truly loved him - the time, his patience, calm aura and knowing he truly cared about me. Beth and Sam were also very amazing and always well prepared. I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. It takes work, but at AVH they will provide a serious reboot for your future. Alec T.

I have done the program twice at mrc. The aftercare they have is one of a kind. The staff is amazing. There are far too many to list individually. It is truly the staff in the facilities that have kept me sober. The one huge thing I disagree with though is upper management. They have definitely become more about money than the patients. They only accept bcbs for insurance, so unless you have a lot of money, don't bother coming here. There is no breakfast to speak of. It is not about comfort I guess

I am currently in MRC’s Phase 2 program I have been through the 30 days in residential and 60 days in Phase 1 a structured sober living with peer support. The nurses and peer support were fantastic at detox always there is you need anything. Or just a shoulder to cry on. At phase 1 Tyler and Jermaine were awesome people to be around the peer support there. You could talk to them about anything and they drove us to meetings all around the metro. I am now living in one of the two phase 2 houses. I have a great job, that I love. Making rent every month and still saving at the same time because rent is so affordable. All in all I would recommend anyone to MRC including Tiger Woods

Salvation Army when I went homeless after the military I didn’t know they had services for veterans like this. The KCVA helped to get into the Salvation Army. I had to stay here due to indifferences at my house. My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The other Veterans are kind. My case worker Irene was very hard on me at first lol! After I was admitted in she was kind and loved all of us. Integration was easy. Irene will help you get more % to help in your case. She is there for you. Use her and let her know how you feel. She has been working there for 15 years (KC,Kansas). What an accomplishment. There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you. You have to do chores but they aren’t large duties. Roger will be on you. It’s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good. Breakfast isn’t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn’t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a “suggestion box” downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room. The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. I will stay in touch after I leave. Thank you Salvation Army for helping me find my way.

I was here from January-2025 to August-2025, honestly it was a good experience, alot of things happend to me that were out of the staffs and in bosses power, as in other clients behavior and such, but unfortunately I did get harrased and assulted by other clients but when i stated that, action was taken immediately, they would separate the client from the other(s), and even though it may have not been far, it was better then being traumatized, these "bad" reviews have too of been caused by bad past staff or a lying child, and I was there as I was 14, I was first on the unit champions& Defenders, but maybe 1 week after, my group switched units with champions (Our sister unit) and we got renamed, but as i stayed kids came, and kids went, but I had a good experience overall, and the meals are okay, I feel like the portions should be increased a little for each unit depending on age group, everyone got the same amount, but alot of kids there would do about anything for extras, even in small amounts, I was one of them sometime but it was always 50/50 whenever I ate, I feel as bedtime is WAY too early for 13+ as its 7:00PM for bedtime, as it is healthy but it was extremely hard for me too get up in the mornings because of the time, the beds are really low on the floor if ur in building 3[unless it has been renovated by now] and in building 7, the beds are a normal height,

I was a client At TLC for at least six months and then discharged honestly for me I had a great time I have no idea these parents are talking about the one in the first photo I was there for that kid the only reason why her therapist told her no for the headphones was because they were working on headphones and then when they got unit headphones she refused to use them for the second one a hold is mandatory you cannot blame the staff they're just doing their job and if your child wouldn't have struggled then she wouldn't have so many bruises apologise but I was here for both of these kids both of these kids were in the wrong during their stay because the one that got into the hold tried to fight a staff so of course the staff has to put them in a hold because that's physical aggression and then as soon as the staff tries to put them in the hold she struggles which causes them to hold her tighter and make them stay longer the more she moves the tighter they get the girl that got bullied because of her autism she did not get bullied because of her autism she got bullied because she would cuss people out she would cuss therapist out obviously I had the same therapist so I can put this on put in that therapist was like the best therapist in the world like I have him again before that therapist left he spoke so many good things about your daughter he spoke good about your daughter even though she did so many bad things to him I'm not saying “this is the kids fault” because basically if I'm saying that I would be telling myself that same thing I'm saying that didn't help your kid and that was your objective go to another place I've been to 2 places TLC and pathways send them to another place if they don't do good especially kids in foster care the caseworker is obviously going to send them to another place if they're not doing better after discharge please this place is done so many good things for me I literally struggled in the beginning I got in so many holds in the beginning so many runways in the beginning as time progressed I got better and they finally let me out and I wasn't in a hold for like 3 months

I used to go here when i was 13/14... and for everyone who has had a bad experience placeing there child here just know as for every place it has its good and bad times. I was forchinat enough to be placed here when it had a good staff systume shout out to ,Michaelis, Doug dear, Melissa, mr Tiny, mark and meany more. I also made a tone of friends who i still keep up with to this day aswell. I had the chance learn alot about myself and my problems and left a better kid who was confident and well more behaved and I still use what I learned there to this day and I'm 30. I'm unsure how the place is doing almost 20 years later or who is working there but this place randomly popped up in my my head and i just felt the need to look it up and leave a review. Recovery Village has truly been an important stepping stone in my recovery and mental health journey. I came here hoping to find myself again, learn how to cope with life, and develop better ways to manage my diagnoses. I can honestly say that this experience has helped me in so many ways. I really appreciate the groups offered every day. I have learned so much from the therapists and from the other patients who have shared their experiences with me. I was at Healing House for 3 months and it was the best thing that I could’ve done. They truly prepare you to be on your own and the counselors and staff are amazing. Bobbi Jo is so passionate about what she does and I feel extremely lucky to have been a part of what she does and having the opportunity the community she created. During my time there, it was very rare to see someone relapse or leave before they were strong enough to be on their own and I feel like that is the most telling thing about Healing House. They quite literally saved my life. A special thanks to Maria the charge nurse. A true baddy. Also Ariel is an o.g. The entire night crew taught me more than they will ever know. They are mission driven and know their purpose in life: to save souls like mine. Thank you cottonwood springs. Sorry for that “bad” Behavior. ;)

There is a button next to the front door you have to press to get buzzed into the building. It’s on the right side of the door. I hope this is helpful because past reviewers have said they couldn’t get access the building. I had a really great experience here. The process does take some time and you have to be patient. But they were truly amazing and helped me so much. I was assigned an emergency case worker, Phil, who has been amazing. He continuously checks up on me and has helped me every step of the way. Phil helped me sign up for all of my appointments (mental, dental and primary care), as well get Medicaid coverage within a week of leaving the crisis center. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. They are the net.

Regardless they're going to help you to beyond just serving and getting by. Great Staff !! Dr. Ron is in my mind every day, and I've been doing great for the past two years. Highly recommend for those struggling with inner demons, as the classes dig deep into your soul for the roots of your dependency.. Five and one half 🌟.

Got the best help😁 Mrs and Mrs D were the highlights of my days always so funny to hear about their childs latest shanangin! And their is another staff member, she is very confidential so no names but when we where down she got us started paper, it was that little kind gesture that made us all so happy, and then there is Mrs H she is so sweet and gentle always there if you needed to talk. And then there was Mrs G she got along with us all so fast! What made us so comfortable around her was because when she first came on the unit, she wasn't a stranger at all so warm to all of us and treated us all in the moment and not the past And then there was Mrs L and Mrs C they were hard to warm up to at first but they were my favorite night staff the were so hummurous and there for all of us whether good or bad! And Mrs J she was a gentle lady, loved us all. And Mrs T and Mrs S they were also night staff, a little clumsy with their jobs and how to do things but overall such great care! And there was another staff member she was a nurse Mrs H and she loved me a lot, and always made me smile! and Mr H he always gave great life lessons! and Mr C he does well at his job, but hated a lot BECAUSE he does his job. He get a lot of criticism and that's hard to handle 247! And don't forget MRS R my therapist, she did an amazing job she needs a raise, hahaha! And they had an amazing horse program, I won't say anything anout the therapists though, I didn't have an exact connection with those lovely ladies. Anywho, this Ellie, I discharged 4-26-26 it's almost been two months! And I've been doing amazing with all the hard work you put in to me! All with love - bluey🩵

I’ve been going here for 5 years to get suboxone! They have the best Dr. ever!! They also provide counseling, Classes, Detox, And inpatient housing!

I go there for my suboxone and they Nurse Practioner, Carla, is amazing. Truly goes above and beyond to help people. I couldn't ask for a better place. Front desk people can be overly rude and undependable but otherwise it's a great place.
