I absolutely LOVE this place ❤️ Dr. IAN Pearson actually listens and isn't an interview and out doctor he will be thorough with you and help you figure out what you need to actually cope with everyday life! Ever since my medications have been correct, I've been clean and sober I have 1yr and 6 Months. This places saved my life! Madeline my counselor was amazing and super sweet! And the groups are actually helpful at 1st I felt as if I was in like a kindergarten class but I kept on going and it actually started to get better. Less talk about your DOC is a good thing and I finally realized why the substance abuse groups were like the way that they are! I love you ALL 💛 💋💋

This place saved my life I am so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to attend the inpatient and outpatient and I'm still attending the outpatient I'm so grateful for so many of the staff members that really care with their heart and soul ungrateful and thankful for this place and I thank God for it everyday

I have went here before and they work hard to help the amount of people that come to get help. Every person that works there that I have talked to has always been willing to assist you and if they couldn’t help with what you needed they would always direct you to someone that could. If you come wanting help they are more than willing to give help to you.

Great place to get help with opioid addiction Mrs. Bell the director is amazing person who truly cares about her patience. The nurses are amazing and listen and the counselors truly care all of them.( It's been three years since I left my first review of MedMark and I still feel it is an accurate review I would like to point out that there's rules that you have to follow when you're in treatment and a lot of people don't follow those rules and when they're held accountable they leave bad reviews. The rules are there to help you not only gets sober but stay sober and I can wholeheartedly say that the director Miss Bell and her staff truly care about each and every patient at that clinic. ..)

I’ve been struggling with dependency for decades and started seeking treatment in 1997. I had basically given up hope that I could ever be free from until I met Dr Taca. His holistic approach on health goes deeper than the substances I used and helped to identify genetic traits I carried, that once addressed with simple vitamin supplements, made me feel more balanced and clear than I've ever felt in my life. The Bridge device is a brilliant and effective tool that helped greatly with my detox . I came to trust and respect his entire team > Jaime, Rick, Jordan & Hannah all helped me in different & needed ways. Ashley was with me from the first day to the last to guide and support me. This is a special group of people and I feel so lucky to have found them. I will never forget the miracle they performed on me. I urge anyone struggling to reach out to them. If you want to get clean, they can help you get there with the least amount of fear and suffering.

When my children were in high school, I noticed the kids today “party” much more than when I was a kid. For a while, I thought their actions were those of ‘normal’ teens, having fun, blowing off steam, etc..After all, they were teens, and mine were enrolled in a tough private school. I tried to justify the pressure not to rock the boat at home. Well, it started getting out of hand; failing grades, disrespect, lies, rudeness, and no concern for each other, and certainly not for my husband or myself. We tried a few licensed therapists whom my children had snowed. An education counselor strongly recommended a wilderness program in Utah for approximately 3 months only to follow up with a therapeutic boarding school for the following year. Parents will do anything for their child, especially when you feel helpless, don’t know where to turn, and you feel them slipping away emotionally. Wilderness may be great for some, but it was a very temporary band aid for mine barely scratching the surface. The so called therapeutic boarding school was the scariest place I had ever visited. I wasn’t one bit surprised when I realized my child regressed at that school, but my intention here isn’t to bash the schools as they may help with other issues, but they don’t address addiction. I’ll get to the point…Crossroads Recovery Program.. I made the call, and it was the best decision I have ever made. As a mother, I knew it was the perfect program for my daughter, and later, my son. My husband, however, took his time doing due his diligence. A week later, our daughter was enrolled, and months after that, our son joined the group. After my initial jitters, I found myself absolutely adoring this program and all it had to offer. I have to say I was weary of my kid hanging out with former addicts, and then I thought, ‘wait, these kids are now sober, no one is forcing them to be here, and helping the new kids in turn helps them. Crossroads is based on the twelve step program. It’s a strong, solid program, for addicts and non addicts. It strengthens relationships and enriches lives, and it can be incorporated in all areas of one’s life. Let me tell you just a few things I have learned from Crossroads; it’s not a short fix-meaning you don’t just go to a 30 day program and you’re miraculously cured! It takes your teen, or twenty something child to want to change his/her life, and it takes at least a couple of years before they are ready to move on from the program…after all, they are young! They have unbelievable second-to-none support from the peers in the group, counselors and group and graduates as well. They have a blast in this program, and come to realize sobriety is much more fun than their previous lifestyles. They have learned real life lessons, and I am still amazed at how grateful, kind, caring, and honest my children are because of Crossroads. Just in the past three plus years we have been involved, several grads are now in college, working, or both, and two that I know of headed off to med school. I am very grateful to have gotten to know the participants in Crossroads; they are the sweetest, most caring, non judgmental and fun group of teens/twenties I have ever known. For the first several months I was involved with the parent meetings because I would do anything to support my children. Over time I have come to realize that those meetings are for me & for my own healing, after all, addiction is a family disease. I am continually learning from the parent education meetings. It’s an unexpected bonus that I feel that I have grown as a person as well, (always a work in progress).These counselors give their time and talents more than any other. A big part of the success of Crossroads is because the counselors have all been there, and the kids can totally relate to them. They get it, and they are totally dedicated. Is it perfect? I would have to say no but I don’t know what I would change! I do know there is no better support out there, I can’t say enough good things about Crossroads. Forever grateful.

The Crossroads program has been such a gift in our family’s life! Thank goodness for this transformative program. There was no better program for our child and family while we were dealing with substance use disorder. In order to help our child we had gone to three hospital programs, an art therapist, family therapist, several individual therapists, a month-long program all in St. Louis. Nothing made a difference that really stuck. We then tried out of state for wilderness camp and therapeutic boarding school. Our child was fine in these programs, yet once home, back to the same self-destructive behavior. Once a young adult we had no way to help or impact behavior. Then we found the Crossroads program. The peer-to-peer support makes all the difference. The counsellors are trained and licensed, yet they also have lived experience so our child couldn’t fool them, get pity, cause shock, or pretend. The counsellors and the youth in the program all can see through the tricks and still come from a place of love, support, honesty, and fun. Recovery stuck. The lessons learned still impact our child in positive ways today. My husband and I were also changed for the better. We learned to let go of anger, fear, and to detach with true love and respect that life on life’s terms is the best teacher for our child. Now our child is happily married with a child on the way. We are all very close, have fun together, and have healthy boundaries. Thank goodness for this amazing program that meets young people with substance abuse issues where they are on their terms. It creates long-term transformation that helps youth learn to thrive and parents learn healthy ways to parent with love and healthy boundaries.

My experience at Alsana Residential was absolutely amazing! The staff there genuinely cared about me and my recovery. They didn't just do their job they went above and beyond! I am so grateful to my care team there and the DC's that put in the extra effort. There was only one there that I felt cared more about their title than they did about genuinely helping and being a part of the community. I also met some of the best people. I will never forget you all. Thank you for being a safe place for me , for helping me to see that the apple fell far from the tree, and for showing me that I am human too and deserve the same rights as every other human on this planet! To Tracy, Jojo, Mae, Katrina, Jordan, and Karlie: I am a better person for knowing each of you and you have all touched my soul! I will never forget any of you and what you did for me! Before Alsana, my daughter was so deep in her eating disorder and co-occurring mental health issues that functioning without these things felt next to impossible. She seemed entrenched in this disorder, and I didn’t know how to get her out. Each time we took her Alsana, they’ve helped pull her out of some of the darkest points of her life so it seemed at the time. The staff and philosophy of Alsana guided me through the ups and downs of early recovery, never giving up when she would stumble. I felt like everyone I met truly cared for her and her recovery. Now, after Alsana, she is living a life of freedom from the grips of this life sucking eating disorder. SHe feels stronger, more capable of dealing with triggers, and more compassionate towards others in a similar spot than ever before. Thank you for giving me my daughter back.

When I was there in 1999 I was at the forensic center with a razor wire fences around it for 3 months have my own room staff was really nice

To those leaving "reviews" saying they are upset because they can't get any information about their loved one: 1 - This is a Forensic Mental Health Hospital, not a hotel, prison, or public rehabilitation facility. Most patients are here because a judge has sent them here, not because their family checked them in or they walked in off the street. Unless you are a Dr or a Dr's office with a pre-approved contact, or are named on the patients contact list, you aren't going to get any "medical records" or even confirmation of their presence on the grounds. That's the state law, not our policy. HIPAA laws dictate that unless you are an approved contact we can't even confirm that a patient was or wasn't there, let alone give out medical information. We could literally be charged with a crime if we did. I understand that you are concerned for your loved one and just want to know how they are doing, but that doesn't change the law. Our staff handling the phones get dozens of calls requesting information on a daily basis, most of which must be turned away in a similar fashion. That doesn't excuse rudeness, but be aware that it has nothing to do with you specifically unless you continue to call hoping for a different answer. 2 - Rating a business one star because you are a bad driver is pretty weak. Don't ride people's tail... Sounds like you got less than you deserved.

the food was crazy good though I could’ve done without the ambient screaming. Would recommend to all people who like lizards.

Courtney Hollingsworth helped me through several losses and overall mental health stability. Johnathan helped my husband and I through difficult times as a couple. We both don't know what we would do without both counselors. We highly recommend Avenues Counseling Center to anyone who may need help with something serious to even something minor. My husband and I worked on a our communication and how to have the best marriage possible.

Matt from Avenues was really great and helpful. We went to him for pre-marital counseling and he brought really insightful topics to the table that we had never thought about or discussed before. I highly recommend!

This place helped turn my child around. Was way better than all the private counseling we received. You can expect some problems when you have rooms full of problem children. No matter where you go. The 1 on 1 counseling off-site Was a game changer for my child.
