I had an appointment on June 2 for a routine mammogram. I was welcomed at the entrance to imaging and escorted to registration. I again was greeted warmly by staff. I was checked in by Sherry and she was very kind, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I had a very short wait until I was called by Lisa, who explained that she would be helping me with my test today. Like Sherry she is a wonderful asset to your hospital. She like Sherry, was smiling, upbeat, joyful and made me feel completely at ease. I worked at SMMC for 43 years and was blessed to be there every day. Current Inpatient resident who would like to say I came with much trepidation and anxiety. All of which I was able to shed easily on account of the staff and friendly fellow residents. Not in any small part because of Kerry (think I spelled that right) in detox, because she is @$$@ ing hilarious, and made me feel a lot better. I mean, guys, it’s rehab.. ;) But this is a very good rehab. Admins listen.
EDIT: It took guys.. It really took this time. I shed the $&!t colored goggles. And the world is vivid.. bright.. and while i honestly believed I'd be dead by now... In reality I'm happier than I think I ever have been. I couldn't see it back then.

I first came here in 2012 when I had moved here. I knew no one and was suggested trying this doctor phycility. Have always had kind, professional service with most everyone. I have loved my Primary doctors and Pa's, NP's and now my eye doctor I have seen here in the last year. I especially have loved the gynocology department and Dr Rengachary, who is now retired, but they are still very nice, thorough and caring.
I now see Dr Alma Navato as my Primary Care, adult medicine doctor.
I really love having her as my doctor as she is very kind, patient, caring, and thorough and does address all my concerns and health needs with true concern and patience and care.❤️💯

Finding a place that saw all of me meant everything. The staff respected my pronouns, and therapy felt safe and real. Art groups helped me speak without words. The food was just ok, but the care? Deeply human. I wish there were more gender-inclusive spaces like this. It wasn’t perfect but it was healing, and that’s what I needed. I walked out stronger, finally feeling seen.

I've been going here for years now. The reception staff is almost always very respectful, and if they are "off" its likely because they are busy.
The doctors take time to ask questions and understand. The Nurses (especially Mariam) are very kind and thoughtful.

My husband got hurt in a trauma accident at work and was life flighted to Research Medical Center. From the ER to Rehab, we had nothing but amazing workers! I was in the cardio unit at the hospital. Dr Darden and the team were great. Ashley in the rehab area was amazing. I had bleeding issues and she worked hard to correct it. I had to spend the night because of the bleeding and Nurse Mary, on the floor, did a great job. The only issue with the hospital was my daughter went to the cafeteria and ate a Caesar chicken salad. She got so sick and had to go home. My granddaughter came and took her place.

I’m starting my third week as a client attending group therapy and counseling. So far I’ve seen employees greet me by name recognizing my mannerisms, and increasing efforts to aide my recovery. There are a couple that stand out as exceptional. All of them are happy to help people as a part of their job. Yes, if you are struggling with addiction, I recommend this sliding scale facility. After everything I been through, this place helped me rebuild who I am. The workouts brought my body back, but it was the talks, the brotherhood, that brought back my purpose. I’m not sure why everyone is so rude in the other reviews, as people seemed to have lost their dignity. However, I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences here. My provider Dr. Brooks has been nothing short of amazing and the staff are beyond sweet and helpful. Perhaps you all should show some kindness and it would be reciprocated back. They always smile and treat me well when I have my appointments and I live over an hour way to come here! I love this office and all the staff I’ve encountered so far, truly a wonderful experience!

I love rediscover in Lee summit..I'm actually trying to get a bed date soon.. they really helped me alot when I was in drug court and helped me once I got out of jail after my accident.. I recommend them better than comprehensive mental health..

The staff here is awesome! We had several different staff members help us during our visit, I wish I could shout them all out. Everyone was very kind, very informative, and of course there’s a longer wait to be seen — it’s the ER — but they were transparent about wait times and got us in and out quicker than we imagined. Thanks again for taking care of me today!

I’m starting my third week as a client attending group therapy and counseling. So far I’ve seen employees greet me by name recognizing my mannerisms, and increasing efforts to aide my recovery. There are a couple that stand out as exceptional. All of them are happy to help people as a part of their job. Yes, if you are struggling with addiction, I recommend this sliding scale facility. They will make it their way to help you. I strongly suggest you commit to it.
