I've been with New Season for 1 month the only complaint I have is with lady who does all of the billing. My son is also enrolled in New Seasons and when he first started he didn't have any insurance but now he has medicaid. The lady has denied 2 of his doses which affected his sobriety. He is still trying to get this mess straighted out , but I dint t think

This place is horribly run. Yesterday they didn’t open because of the snow and didn’t give their patients take home doses. No counseling or group therapy. It’s a scam and all they provide is medication.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

This review reflects the management changes, particularly beginning in September 2024. I have been reassigned to a new counselor every single month for the past two years. It's to "manage caseloads," I am told this as if it's the be-all-end-all of explanations, but it's unacceptable; I was reassigned and removed from a single counselor 7 different times. The counselors (for the most part) really want to help you. But they are SO overburdened, they can't; burnout is a huge problem. Do not expect to develop a repoire or even remember your counselor's name, you won't see them twice. The new director, Simone Frazier, fired the most wonderful nurse, Becky, who'd been there for years. I was late to work every single day, even if I waited hours starting at 5:45. Then, the following month, I find out that EVERY worker has been replaced (either walked out or quit.) The director (who goes to school full time AND is the STL director!) pushes for you to get take homes even if you don't want an entire months' supply, don't feel comfortable, or can't pay. Yet I'm shelling out $18 a day for a medication that costs pennies to manufacture. To management: here is something very important I learned in recovery. If you have a problem with every single person in your life (or clinic), maybe everyone else is not your actual problem. Reevaluate your expectations for others. At least pretend you're an asset to the community and not flagrantly disregarding Missouri DMH regulations? Then again, why not? It's not like we have an alternative. Also, think about getting Blue Anthem/Blue Shield in your network, please!

September 2024- closed 2 days this week 1 day last week. Sending customers to the at Louis location to wait in line with 50 it 100 people. Will not last without the old management or way more employees. Feel sorry for those who really needed this place especially those with jobs. August 2024- new management has destroyed all the good things about this place. Fired the best employee, now horrible service. Good luck if you decide this is your best option . Wow. Maybe they need good replacement employees. What took 15 minutes is 2 hours this week

Response from the owner

Just wanted to come on here and leave an update since my last review. I only have one thing to say… BRING BACK Becky!!! The only reason I’m giving this place a five star rating is because of Nancy, Becky! These nurses are amazing and go above and beyond. They are so overworked and at times very unappreciated by some of the clients. High five to Mark and Jeff as well these two councilors are handling very heavy caseloads but still manage to show that they love their job and want what’s best for their clients. They also know how to handle the hot headed ones 😂🙋🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ the reasons I could have given it a one star: Their drug lab sucks!! 50 percent of the time their results are wrong. You could be 100 percent clean and the test could come back positive. They know the lab sucks but says there is nothing they can do about it… when they send it back to be retested then most of the time the true results will come back. But now they have this new rule where you have to pay 35 dollars for your test to be retested!! It’s a money making scam!! They tell you the lab sucks and most of the time will get your results wrong but now wanna charge you 35 to have it sent back!??!? They know they’ll make hella money! What pisses me off is for the one such as myself who are on probation, this could potentially get me in huge trouble! Thank god I get hair follicles from the state! For the love of God New Seasons… GET A NEW LAB!!

This clinic is NOT here to help you. If you have a job that starts at 6am they will do everything in their power to get you fired. They force in person counseling sessions in the morning when you're supposed to be at work. They offer NO afternoon sessions, NO phone sessions, NO video sessions or weekend sessions. They also force doctor visits causing the same problem. Only offered on limited days at the most inconvenient times. This is only the beginning of the problems you will face at this clinic.

Like many of us , I have been through treatment after treatment... Inpatient and outpatient... Jail, prison, and yes, institutions... Then I found this place and thank God because there are so many things about this place to love. From the counselors to the medical team and those absolutely wonderful nurses who put up with a lot of unnecessary B. S. from some of the ppl that haven't "gotten it" just yet and hopefully eventually will. Honestly, I am going to miss seeing them, Jeff, Mark, Becky and Nancy are so easy to talk to ... DON'T LIE TO THESE FOLKS, let them help you, besides they're going to know anyway... 😘

Response from the owner

The counselors and nurses are so over worked here. Each one goes above and beyond their actual job description to make sure you're understanding what's going on and why. Mark is amazing. One of the most empathetic people I have ever met.
