Accepted Insurance

Asheville Detox Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Individuals in early recovery often require 24-hour clinical care in North Carolina. This supervised care typically includes medications to treat specific withdrawal symptoms, which vary based on the substance abused. For example, staff may provide sleep aids to treat insomnia in patients who are addicted to marijuana. For those overcoming a cocaine use disorder, anti-depressants may be prescribed to manage mood swings. Other medications may also be provided to treat addiction-related health issues.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer a complete continuum of care for clients in the maintenance phase of recovery and are predicated on the idea that addiction disease is a chronic condition prone to relapse and warranting continuing care. Clients collaborate with their care team and case manager to access the specific rehab aftercare services they need to promote their sustained sobriety. Peer coaching, relapse prevention services, career counseling, and 12 step program induction are common in these programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an inpatient rehab facility are typically in early recovery or are at heightened risk of relapse. Clients in inpatient care remain at the facility for the duration of their program, enabling them to focus solely on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills education is another common service. Many rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
A medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive drugs and alcohol from your body. A team of licensed medical professionals will look after you 24/7 to monitor your health, help minimize discomfort, and provide medications if necessary to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically the first step in your recovery and may take around 5-7 days, although length will depend on your individual needs.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder, commonly called alcoholism, involves an inability to control the amount or frequency you drink and feeling withdrawal symptoms when you don't drink. Treatment for alcohol addiction may involve residential or outpatient alcohol rehab in North Carolina, counseling, or 12-step programs. Typically, some form of professional treatment and support is necessary to achieve long-term recovery.

There are many types of drug rehab in North Carolina. To receive treatment for addiction, you can choose from many inpatient and outpatient programs. Often, participants start with detox and work through a full continuum of care that continues with ongoing support for long-term recovery.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

North Carolina offers substance abuse treatment programs that provide a holistic and evidence-based approach. Through a comprehensive mental health assessment, addiction experts can provide an individualized care plan specific to your needs. You can expect most rehabs programs to provide individual and group therapy, recovery meetings, and evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Depending on your circumstances and severity of addiction, you may need more intensive care. Levels of care include outpatient, residential inpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. By choosing the right level of care, you're more likely to succeed in long-term recovery.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

This outfit is nothing less than an insurance money grab. Being type 2 diabetic, they offer no personalized food service. Totally under medicate the client save on costs. Staff is completely indifferent and do the bare minimum not to get fired. Counselors are there aa a requisite but offer no therapeutic value. It’s a shell and a sham. Now, if you don’t have any detox experience, you won’t know any better. If this isn’t your first rodeo, go elsewhere and go where expertise, compassion, and effectiveness matters. These people are pretenders! I left after 3 days because I matter and deserve better!

Absolutely horrible with communication to family members. I was given 4 different numbers to call and those who I could reach, it was never "their job" or they were not the right person to speak to. Requested daily for what medical treatment was being given and I never received a straight answer. Frustrations did spill and the end result was damaging advice from the staff. It was blamed on the "client" to inform me of anything during a once a day 10 minute call while they themselves are going through a medical detox along with being given "comfort drugs". The "client" is isolated and advised in a captive setting, left upon themselves to make intelligent and life changing decisions. I've never dealt with a detox center and I understand confidentiality quite well, but I don't believe this was appropriate or professional treatment. Proper communications would have saved a lot of frustration, heartache, and emotional damages.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
We understand that this experience has been frustrating for you, and we take all feedback seriously. Due to confidentiality laws, we are limited in the information we can provide to anyone other than the client, and we always prioritize their privacy and wishes while in treatment. Our team strives to maintain clear communication within the bounds of these guidelines, and we regret if this caused frustration. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to our administrative team so we can address them appropriately. We wish you and your loved one the best during this time.

The staff were amazing! They really care about their patients. They all have gone through similar experiences and was open to telling their stories and how they became sober. It was honestly amazing to hear that if you are willing to put the work in and want to be sober you truly can be. I would recommend 10 out 10 for Asheville Detox Center. You will make so many friends and new connections. Again, I want to irritate that this place has truly inspired me and given me the confidence I need to get sober and stay sober.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Thank you so much for your kind words, Ryan! We're thrilled to hear that our team made such a positive impact on your journey to sobriety. It's wonderful to know that the stories shared resonated with you and inspired confidence in your path. Building connections and friendships is a vital part of the recovery process, and we're glad you experienced that at Asheville Detox Center. Your recommendation means the world to us! Wishing you continued strength and success on your journey.
