Intrepid Recovery Center offers substance addiction and co-occurring mental health treatment in West Palm Beach, Florida. Guests have access to their luxury facility and can start their recovery journey in a secure, compassionate setting.

Residents won’t have a sterile hospital feeling here. Amenities like a large lawn, mini theater, acupuncture, a play court, pizza nights and big screen televisions make this an upscale environment for healing. The meals change each week and include healthy ingredients to provide energy and fuel recovery. Meditation therapy is available, and you can choose to meditate on the large lawn and enjoy the warm Florida sunshine.

For guests who want privacy, they have single rooms available that feature Eurotop mattresses for extra comfort. Rooms are spacious and beds have headphone jacks so you can view and listen to your favorite shows without disturbing your neighbors.

Medical detox is safe and monitored so you remain comfortable. You’ll have a peaceful, serene setting with staff encouraging your recovery. They provide 24-hour care with staff experienced in withdrawal management.

Residents also focus on the future with vocational training and financial tips. They may learn new skills for jobs, have social outings for community engagements and have access to music therapy for communication and self-expression. Rehab specialists are available to help with brainstorming for your career, getting your finances on track, and potentially ending legal issues.

Aftercare is available and creates ongoing support after treatment. You may attend 12 step meetings with others in recovery who can encourage and support your progress. They also offer mentoring relationships and a supportive network.

They work with many health insurance plans including Humana, Cigna, Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

I can t say enough good things about Intrepid Detox Recovery. Going in, I was nervous and unsure of what to expect, but from day one, the staff made me feel supported, understood, and truly cared for. The program was structured in a way that gave me the tools I needed to start my sobriety journey with confidence.The medical team ensured I was comfortable and safe during detox, and the therapists helped me work through the emotional side of addiction. The group sessions were incredibly helpful I never felt alone in my struggles. If you're looking for a place where the group facilitators and counselors are both knowledgeable and trying their very best to help everybody there, then look no further. Decatured meals are a step above hospital food, and the amount of structure in order that you can start to implement in your life with the daily routines here provide immeasurable value if you keep that structure moving forward after you leave.Do not allow, like I did for a time, slight grievances with arbitrary things to stop you from taking care of yourself. It's a rehab detox facility, not a five-star resort hotel.If you call this place and they start telling you all of the features and benefits that they have, be sure to verify what is actually an amenity that the detox facility versus what is only offered at their next level of PHP. There is no dedicated workout facility, there is no pool, and make sure to bring all of your own toiletries. Treat everyday there like it might be the day you learn something that keeps you sober and helps you reclaim your life. Take notes. Listen actively for the sake of understanding. Sit in the front row during group and speak up and ask as many questions as you can.Rooting for you!

Levels of Care

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Medically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

good luck trying to get ahold of your loved one in this facility no one answers the phone . even if there’s an emergency there’s no way of contacting them, they try to get reviews taken down . tried with this one . came to edit .

Nobody understands that more than we do, but when our patients are committed, they succeed. When they succeed, the family can begin to heal. Worst facility you could send your loved ones to . They talk down to you like you’re stupid they are manipulative and they will not let them see family. They want insurance money it’s very clear . They also tried to get reviews taken down . Only God knows how many people just conformed to what they wanted. Which they say is toxic if it’s the other way around . They will not listen to your feelings or emotions they will just say “ that’s not healthy “ because WE are not in the program ….HOWEVER….the PERSON in program will be coming home to us . I think it would be HEALTHY to prepare the family and to seek understanding from them and be there for them .

Places for addicts are usually WANTING to have the family involved not push them away and make them seem and or feel like the “problem” .
