The Haven is a great place, I love it. The personnel do make you feel welcome, very friendly and they see you when you at your worst and cannot see yourself. Staff is wonderful, Techs, Nurses, therapists, facilitators, kitchen's personnel, everyone. The place is very clean and peaceful, perfect to recover. Group sessions are really good, you do learn something new in each of them. They are coordinated, well organized. At The Haven, you as a human being, your emotions, your feelings, are important.Kudos to Sabrina, Ashley, Anthony, Barbara, Kate, Lauren, Karen, Jake, Sue, Pastor C., Dr Harris, Dr. Maggie, all the nursing staff, the TechX's, the housekeepers, the chefs. I cannot thank you enough.*To Angel, you are truly an ANGEL, I never met someone so devoted, willing to help, you have a true passion, and you are gifted. Thank you so much.

It s been a difficult journey to get here but the people at Haven have been most warm, helpful and accommodating. Their job can t be easy as there are so many people with so many serious needs here but I feel everyone has taken pause to make me feel they are there for me. My client liaison, Barbara, immediately made me feel at home and that she had my back and was looking out for me. My therapist, Sabrina, was very patient, insightful and attentive. Another client liaison, Anthony, made me feel like we d been friends for years. Nothing but positive things to say so far. Feeling appreciative I wound up here

I made the decision to leave this facility and was immediately met with an egregious violation of my legal rights. Upon requesting my personal belongings, staff (specifically upper management) arbitrarily invoked a fabricated "48-hour hold" policy that I had never agreed to, nor was it outlined in any signed contract. This blatant act of property retention was not only unethical but also illegal. Under Florida Statute 812.014, the unauthorized retention of personal property can constitute theft. Additionally, under Florida Statute 509.428, any establishment refusing to return a guest s property upon request may be subject to legal action.Recognizing this unlawful conduct, I had no choice but to contact law enforcement. Within 20 minutes of the officers arriving, my belongings were promptly returned proving that the facility had no legitimate grounds to withhold them in the first place. This facility created a completely unnecessary legal issue, one that could have been avoided had they simply abided by the law.Beyond the legal transgressions, the facility itself was alarmingly substandard. The bed sheets were stained, electrical outlets had exposed wiring posing a serious safety hazard and the nursing staff demonstrated a concerning lack of basic medical knowledge, such as being unfamiliar with propranolol, a widely used beta-blocker. These conditions are wholly unacceptable for a medical detox program, and it is clear that quality care and patient well-being are not priorities here. This was a voluntary program, meaning I had every legal right to leave at my discretion. Instead of respecting that right, upper management appeared more concerned with financial interests than patient autonomy. If their actions were justified, why was I never given the opportunity to complete an Against Medical Advice (AMA) discharge through proper medical channels? If they are falsely reporting to my insurance provider that I left without following protocol, that is insurance fraud something I fully intend to report.Furthermore, if I were legally in the wrong for claiming my belongings were unlawfully withheld, law enforcement would have taken action against me for making a false report. That did not happen because I was in the right, and this facility was in clear violation of the law.I will be consulting with an attorney to explore the full extent of legal action that can be taken against this facility. I will also be contacting my insurance company to ensure they are aware of the facility s failure to adhere to proper discharge protocols. To anyone considering this program: there are far superior, legally compliant facilities that offer quality care and respect for patient rights. This facility is not one of them. Proceed with extreme caution.Absolutely, none of this was neccesary.

Accepted Insurance

The Haven Detox – Florida Alcohol & Drug Rehab works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

In Florida, substance abuse treatment focuses on treating mental health and substance use disorders concurrently to improve recovery outcomes and overall health. Levels of care include medical detox, outpatient, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs. Clinicians utilize evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) or medication-assisted treatment, group therapy, and skills training activities. This comprehensive approach to treatment helps to ensure sustained recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program for men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program for women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

As a short term therapeutic method, motivational interviewing in Florida requires only a couple of sessions. During these sessions, you'll have the opportunity to talk about your circumstances and any discrepancies between your current situation and future goals. You'll then decide for yourself what changes you want to make.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Recreational therapy helps you recover from addiction by giving you structured activities that promote your physical health and mental well being. These activities could range from sports and fitness to creative arts and provide a constructive outlet for your emotions and stress.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

I am 53 yrs old and I have been retired for almost three years.. I have always drank alcohol socially and even on a weekly basis towards the end of my 27 yr Law Enforcement career. After I retired the drinking got worse with all the free time on my hands, towards the past 8-9 months my drinking was up to a bottle of hard alcohol a day. I was tired of the life style and hiding my drinking from my family.. I decided to checkin to The Haven Detox Center in Florida, mind you I live in California. Since my arrival on May 2nd The Haven Detox staff have been Exceptional!! It started with Josh at the district office assisting me with which Haven facility best suited my needs. We decided on the Florida location and he had me a flight booked within minutes. My experience thus far has been more than expected from the medical staff and medical treatment, to the technician staff and my new friend Barbara who was crucial in helping me get settled in by getting me my clothing items after they (my clothes) were searched, plus checking up on my recovery each day. My Therapist Robert has been crucial as well, helping me through the steps of getting better and keeping my wife updated on my progress. Ashley has been very instrumental too in getting me situated in my next step and enrolled in The Recovery Team. Again ALL the staff have been extremely helpful and very friendly, which has made my steps to recovery so much easier to staff positive and stay on track.... I Highly recommend The Haven Detox Center if you or anyone you is looking for help with some type of substance abuse!

Absolutely wonderful, and beautiful place. The techs, nurses, therapists, and staff were all very kind, caring and loving. I’ve been to some rough places for rehab and the Haven in west palm beach was like a resort and made me feel safe and very comfortable especially while detoxing. Even the food is absolutely wonderful. I didn’t realize addiction treatment centers like this one existed. The Groups are incredible and made me feel like it was made specifically for me. I would recommend this place to everyone who needs help with addiction or even just mentally. They truly do care about you and want to help. You’re not just a price or bed number to them. You are a human being, Gods child who they want to help. I really do love the Haven in West Palm Beach Fl.

Awesome experience. Great for a 7 day detox or 30 day recovery. From having a barber come fix your hair to having a massage therapist and chiropractor. This place really has it all. Staff are helpful as could be and the rooms you stay in are beautiful along with your own tv. It feels like home as much as it could here. Five stars.

This is hands down the best detox in South Florida if not all of Florida. The facility is clean and the staff is so amazing. They really care about their clients and they go above and beyond for you. They have really good food as well. The therapy is actually very therapeutic not just so bs group for people to sign in on a paper and talk about nonsense. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Forever grateful to The Haven and their caring staff. Thank you so much to Angel Cruz, Lucas Risner, Nurse Aubrey, Lysette, Ross, Penny, Karen, Ashley, Roni, and Justin—for your compassion, kindness, and dedication to saving lives. You guys are the best! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If anyone needs help, please reach out to The Haven; they will go above and beyond for you from the initial call, to recovery, and even afterwards. They treat you like family, and you will have a big support system (better than friends and family, in many cases). All you have to do is reach out (the hardest part), and they will carry you through your healing journey. ❤️‍🩹🙏💙 Thank you, Haven, for saving my life.

I am very grateful for having the opportunity to have experienced everything, during my stay at The Haven. While my visit was short, the impact left on me will forever be embedded in my soul. As of yesterday, it will be 30 days since I have returned home. I am doing so much better, and continuing my path of healing. Even though I have been home and hours away from the facility and staff, not a day goes by that I am not checked on—to ensure I am safe, healthy, and continuing my path of healing. There is no “if” for me, but even “if” I was not doing well, again, all I would have to do is call them, and they would literally drop everything and come drive hours to get me. They really do care. I cannot say THANK YOU enough to Angel Cruz; he goes above and beyond to check on me, invites me to Alumni events, and he holds me accountable while I am continuing my path to healing. Angel is literally just that; an angel! I also want to say thank you to Nurse Aubrey; she is one of the most compassionate souls I have ever met (she helped save my life, when I wasn’t sure I was going to make it). Additionally, thank you to Nurse Lysette (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly), Nurse Ross, BHT Penny, Karen, Ashley, Roni, Justin, and a big thank you to Lucas Risner (he dedicates his life to helping anyone who needs support). I am grateful to everyone who was kind to me, during one of the toughest chapters of my life. They genuinely do care about people, and continue to show that by following up after you leave. Thank you again (to all), & especially to Angel Cruz and Lucas Risner for holding me accountable, and for continuing to dedicate their lives to saving lives. Forever grateful! 💙🙏☀️
