The hospital is a complete joke. I have been hospitalized MULTIPLE TIMES only for them to miss the illness I had. I m very lucky to be alive right now. I had salmonella for TWO MONTHS and have been here twice because it wasn t going away. At one visit the doctor didn t even come in. On the other occasion, the nurses were rude and dismissive. They let me suffer and it wasn t even them who diagnosed the salmonella, it was my gastroenterologist who did. I had to be put on antibiotics for two weeks to clear the infection. You d be better off dying at home or going elsewhere.

I don't like having to do this.. while in rm 334, Friday the 4th of April, I had a tech by the name of Lindsay. I was have a heart issue, my heart kept climbing, Lindsay came and and was asking me questions of how I was feeling, at the time I was having sharp pain in my right temple, and pain going down the bottom 2 ribs on my left side. She said she would let Carrissa know, and started to leave, I ask her if she would check my blood pressure, she looked at the screen and told me my blood pressure was fine 2 hours prior to that, and left the room. Nurse Josh took over for Carrissa, so I reported it to him.. later that night. It was shift change time, Lindsay came in and made a statement, "I hope I don't see you when I come back work on Thursday.. and walked out.... I'm sorry, but she was not being professional about her job...

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Typically, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in Kentucky involves four types of therapy sessions. You'll participate in a pre assessment, skills training in groups, individual therapy, and telephone crisis coaching. The goal is to improve your skills for coping with daily emotions and life challenges.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

It's a hospital, have never had any issues here, cafeteria has nice selections, remember people have allergies/dietary requirements so not alot of spices but you can put your own on if you like. Parking can be difficult but have free valet. During normal hours and evening and nights parking is easier.

The staff is not empathetic. Treats people cruelly and does not seem to care about the pain that their patients are in. Staff is often times outright disrespectful and do not provide access to treatment that is necessary. I have been judged and given lesser treatment because I am a 20 year old female which followed with me having fainting spells and extreme dizziness for the following year.

Was having a heart attack when I walked in hospital. The care giving from the time I walked in and I walked out was great. I think our hospital has made great strides to giving the best care possible, it starts with hiring good people that care and want to be there. Thanks for all you did for me

When it comes to the linen, I laid in feces in my bed because the sheets was not changed because there’s nothing in the closet to change it, but it took a pee pad and put on top of it. I feel that the room should be cleaner and more stuff should be in the rooms would be changing linen And I think that the workers are understaffed. They need more help up there. I think my room got clean one time in six days or eight days I was there and that seems to be a problem. I know people to cut back, but when it comes to medical field or or being in the public, you need to take all Cat Care thank you. My name is Lori English

Do not recommend, a nurse at the facility likes to false allegations about patients and caretakers. Providing immediate care to patients was not the number one thing on her list. The doctor had to do both his job and hers while she was making false reports.

I came in for stroke-like symptoms! The receptionist & nurses treated me with such Respect. Dr Lee tried to convince me that I had a bug bite on my face and that I was taking it to extreme. 1. Not a single bug bite-the RN checked! 2. Never been so talked down to by a Dr in such a manner! 3. I am a OTR Semi driver and wanted to be safe with my health and she would not let me ask questions or talk because I got told by her (she stated) "I am the professional here and not the housekeeper.

Our Mother was admitted on April 3rd, 2025. I spent 19 nights sleeping in a chair by her side. My brother, sister in law and I along with other family members never left her alone. She was on the 2nd floor in CCU her entire stay. We had some remarkable Nurses, Aides and RT’s during our stay. There is no way we can recall them all, however a few of them we will never forget. Tim, Robert, Paul, Erin, Kayla, John Michael, the Pink Shoe Lady, and the one whom I told he looked like Jack Black. Jennifer along Faith and Her Mother were also remarkable! She reminded us to never feel bad for standing up for our Mother. Please know we never received bad service, just some was better than others. Never did anyone ever leave her room without asking if “we” needed anything. It has brought great sadness to our lives that our precious Mother passed on April 22nd. She will forever be a part of our heart and soul and we wanted to give credit where credit was due. From the doctors, nurses, therapists, aides, receptionist; and Paul the Security Guard, and Shayla in Housekeeping anyone that we interacted with even in the cafeteria or gift shop, please know how much we appreciate all you did for our Mother wether it be for her care or a kind word to us, it is and will always be greatly appreciated. The Family of Janice G.
