Our goal is to treat the underlying causes of addiction. We have a diverse staff who have experience, in many of the issues our clients are admitted with. Our staff recognizes that what people need is a safe environment, in order to recover, so our group size is small so clients don’t get ‘lost’ in the process.

The Way Home Treatment Center is client based. We are aware that not everyone’s needs are the same, so we screen our clients, prior to admission, to make sure we are a good fit. If a client is not able to come to our treatment center, we will refer them, so they can get the care they need.

We believe everyone deserves to re-discover who they were before their addiction took over. We want to help clients Come Home to their truth, their integrity , their heart!

I m leaving this Review under my husbands account. my name is Kelsey Pitcher. I came to Florida looking for help. Lost with no family. I was sent to a rehab which I completed and was afterwards suggested a halfway a Check your clockwork something from medicine saying something about I don t know. Can you just pull house. With out patient care. This was when Covid was new/fairly a way of life. I moved into a home in pompano beach FL, the hood. But was uber at not cost to me to an out patient program where I met 3 women who would change my life in so many ways. Eileen, Bobbie, and Kara (not sure on the spelling) . No matter what I had going on, my circumstance. Someone was always available to take my call. Listen, and give me love I couldn t see I deserved. Even after discharge I have remained in contact. Today I celebrate four years clean and I can only think of the people that helped me get here. The people in the early stages they cared for me that showed me Gave me criticism and did all the right things to give me four years clean where I could get married have a family be a normal Of society. Levels of Care

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Inpatient

Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Aftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Medically Assisted Detox

The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Matthew, the evening/weekend therapist, is a rare find. His groups were creative, grounded, and emotionally real. I didn’t always want to show up—but I never wanted to miss what Matthew had planned. He’s the kind of therapist who makes recovery feel alive again—like something you want to be part of. Bobbie, the Clinical Director, is in a league of her own. She doesn’t just supervise—she connects. She brings deep insight, compassion, and a no-nonsense honesty that makes you feel safe enough to be real. Hands down, the best therapist I’ve ever had. The program may have felt short in length, but it was rich in connection, structure, and growth. Continued treatment from The Way Home has been integral to my recovery story. The level of attention you get from counselors and staff is incredible, you’re not just a number here. They set you up for success with a personal therapist you can continue to see after discharge, vocational direction, group support, and addiction education. I recently celebrated 1 year sober and it’s partially thanks to the programs and aftercare at the Way Home. Program director Eileen is a tough cookie but a gifted therapist who helps facilitate groups and healing. Clinical director Bobbie is also personally involved as a therapist, and the best I’ve ever had. Just to put an example of how they do it all here.
