About The Way Home Treatment Center

The Way Home Treatment Center is a small, clinically driven treatment center. We focus on helping our clients achieve long term recovery.

Our goal is to treat the underlying causes of addiction. We have a diverse staff who have experience, in many of the issues our clients are admitted with. Our staff recognizes that what people need is a safe environment, in order to recover, so our group size is small so clients don’t get ‘lost’ in the process.

The Way Home Treatment Center is client based. We are aware that not everyone’s needs are the same, so we screen our clients, prior to admission, to make sure we are a good fit. If a client is not able to come to our treatment center, we will refer them, so they can get the care they need.

We believe everyone deserves to re-discover who they were before their addiction took over. We want to help clients Come Home to their truth, their integrity , their heart!

This is a paid testimonial. Matt was my therapist. A little pushy, that guy, but he cares. The owners, Eileen, Rochelle, and the rest — they're at the center every day and I love them. This is all work, no play. This isn't an extended stay. Not your typical center. You get out what you put in, so if you really care about changing your life, this is the way to go.

I recently attended both PHP and currently Outpatient through this facility. I was welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff here. Rachelle is a wonderful caring lady who pushed me every week. My counselor Bill S. Has become both a friend and good mentor, as well. Tim and Andrew ran groups every day and dug into our minds and souls for a bigger purpose in this life. Eileen is like a sage or the Yoda and Taja made me laugh and feel new again. Just a great group of people and a rewarding chance to find/ regain yourself.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

Often referred to as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers an intensive treatment option that allows individuals to return home at night. PHP treatment typically requires a minimum of 20 hours a week for an average of 90 days. Participants attend daily therapeutic sessions, receive medication management, and have access to skilled medical professionals. While costs can vary, most insurance will fully or partially cover a partial hospitalization program.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

During couples therapy in Florida, your therapist will take steps to get to know you, help you identify feelings, explore the past, develop solutions, and help you learn skills to manage relationship challenges. This process will allow you to work through conflict and strengthen your relationship.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Although this center isn't for everyone, depending on the treatment/therapy your looking for, it was great for me. I had been to 2 others over the years and was needing a place to reset and pick my life up again. I was allowed to work my job through the php program and keep my phone where in others can do neither. There was a little more freedom to find my path here. Therapy with Tim was light, but l was fine with that. My goals were met. Other staff, Matt and Taha, helped me with some side issues and made things easier, personable, and a positive experience. The living quarters were comfortable and they worked with me to stay a couple extra weeks even to get my transitions in order. I'm in my own place now, working a great job, and ready to start the 2nd half of my life well!

“I had such a great experience with this outpatient therapy program. From the very first session, the staff made me feel welcomed and supported. The therapists are not only knowledgeable but also truly compassionate — they take the time to listen and tailor the sessions to your individual needs. The environment is comfortable, respectful, and encouraging, which made it easy to open up and focus on progress. I’ve noticed real improvements in both my mental and emotional well-being since starting here, and I feel like I’ve been given practical tools I can carry with me every day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for professional, caring, and effective outpatient therapy.”

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at The Way Home. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel safe, understood, and supported. The counselors and therapists truly care and take the time to understand each person’s needs. The program was incredibly thorough, combining therapy, group sessions, and practical tools for life after treatment. I especially appreciate my therapist Matthew who helped me look inward to find a strength I never knew I had. Thanks to their guidance, I left feeling hopeful and equipped with the skills I need to stay on track. If you or a loved one are looking for a compassionate, effective place to start the journey to recovery, I wholeheartedly recommend The Way Home.
