This is a paid testimonial. Matt was my therapist. A little pushy, that guy, but he cares. The owners, Eileen, Rochelle, and the rest — they're at the center every day and I love them. This is all work, no play. This isn't an extended stay. Not your typical center. You get out what you put in, so if you really care about changing your life, this is the way to go.

Transitions Recovery Program in Miami didn’t just help me get sober it gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams. I walked in lost, broken, and unsure if real change was even possible. What I found was a deeply compassionate and structured environment that not only supported my recovery, but challenged me to grow in ways I never thought I could. The staff is incredible many of them are in recovery themselves, so they get it. They met me where I was without judgment, but also didn’t let me stay stuck in old patterns. The clinical team, the group sessions, the one-on-one therapy, and even the everyday accountability they all played a part in reshaping how I saw myself and the world around me. What really sets Transitions apart is that they don’t just focus on staying sober they teach you how to build a meaningful, fulfilling life in recovery. They helped me reconnect with who I really am, helped me process trauma, build healthier relationships, and most importantly, believe in myself again. I’ll never be able to fully put into words how grateful I am for this place. Transitions helped me reclaim my life and then some. If you’re struggling, if you’re feeling hopeless, please know that change is possible. This program showed me that.

Transitions literally saved my life. It’s like no other rehab I’ve ever been at before, I’ve been to over 20 different rehabs and this one will definitely be my last lol. The staff here treat you like family and really care about you here. The outings were always so much fun, the groups were great, and I love how it’s a reality based program. 10/10 if you are thinking about coming here do it. I wish this had better reviews. Instead, the people leaving poor reviews are whining instead of owning up to their actions. Yes, initially, you think the demands are egregious. It took me awhile to finally get on track, but once I did, I realized how great this program is and how fortunate I was to be a part of it. There are some people that may talk to you with a condescending tone, but that’s a problem that’s within them, so don’t take it personally. The people I directly worked with were wonderful and definitely showed compassion and desire to prevent you from continuing to fall. Then once you’re done, you get the charge dismissed and hopefully, your life towards a new path. You’ll be surprised what you are capabale of achieving.

I highly recommend Bright Futures for their exceptional support and care. My close friend who struggled with addiction, received outstanding help from their team. This place helped save my life. I’ve been to a few rehabs, but this one is different—the staff actually listens, supports, and holds you accountable. The program helped me reconnect with myself and rebuild trust with my family. Highly recommend it to anyone who feels lost right now.

This place and the people at Bright Futures are truly something special. I’ve been through multiple rehab centers, and while each offered something helpful, I always ended up back in the same cycle—drinking, isolating, losing myself. I came to Bright Futures broken, scared, and exhausted—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It wasn’t just the substance use that nearly destroyed me, it was the lack of hope. From the very first phone call, I felt like I wasn’t just another intake. I spoke with someone who took the time to listen to my story, answer my questions about detox placement, insurance, and what to expect from PHP. I was skeptical at first. I didn’t believe in myself. But Bright Futures believed in me before I could. When I arrived at the facility in Boynton Beach, I was immediately welcomed with warmth and zero judgment. I was assigned a case manager, Jennifer, who not only kept my treatment organized but supported me emotionally every step of the way. She helped coordinate everything—from therapy sessions to aftercare planning to helping me talk to my family again. My primary therapist, Matt, made an enormous impact. He didn’t just run through a script—he took the time to dig deep with me, identify my trauma, and help me develop real coping skills. We worked through things I had buried for years. The group therapy sessions led by Ashley were raw and transformative. She created a safe space where I could share, cry, and most importantly—heal. Melissa, part of the support staff, always made sure I was okay. Some days I didn’t need therapy—I just needed someone to sit with me or remind me to eat. Carlos, one of the techs in the sober living side, treated me like a human being when I was at my worst. They didn’t just do their jobs—they genuinely cared. The clinical structure here is solid. I was placed in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) after detox, then moved into outpatient therapy and continued working on myself while staying in the sober living housing they set me up with. The facility was clean, the food was good, the housing felt safe, and the schedule helped me rebuild my routine. The best thing about Bright Futures isn’t just the therapy or the services—it’s the people. Everyone from leadership to the cleaning staff seemed committed to helping us succeed. There were no shortcuts. Just honesty, consistency, and compassion. I left Bright Futures with a recovery plan, coping tools, a support network, and something I hadn’t had in a long time—hope. I still check in with some of the staff. They didn’t just get me sober; they helped me remember who I am and who I want to be. If you or someone you love is looking for real help—not just a detox and discharge, but real addiction treatment with clinical structure and heart—this is the place. Whether you need PHP, outpatient therapy, mental health support, or sober living in South Florida, Bright Futures delivers. I owe them my life, and I’ll never forget what they gave me.

A lot of these reviews are very exaggerated or are lies. I went to the Renfrew Center - Coconut Creek twice is 2012 and once in 2017. Both I had a different ED. I will say now though that in 2012 that they were more staffed, more strict with rules, etc. However, looking back I knew they were for a good reason and I knew they were just trying to help. 2017 they definetly started to become less strict. People need to realize and understand that without having rules in place- it’s not going to help you make changes. You can’t just expect to be able to do what you want 24/7. I made some of the best of friends and had some of the best staff help me. Ali Butters was the best therapist when they had her. Both Jodi’s also did amazing at their job. There’s so many other staff members but they stood out the most. Art was my absolute favorite. And Susan also will also be a gem to that place- i thought i was going to hate dance therapy and ended up loving it. People need to start being more open minded and realize that they can’t live in their comfortable bubble forever if they actually want a change in their life. ai can’t say i’m 100% cured sadly. But do I blame Renfrew for not “fixing” me? No. Not at all. At the end of the day people need to realize it’s YOU who has to be willing to make the changes People will always find an excuse not to. Thank you Renfrew for everything. There’s a lot more you did for me in my time there like gave me a scholarship to stay a bit longer- but thank you again. 💜💜💜

I cannot say enough about the exceptional care and support provided by Summit Detox Center. From the moment I arrived, I was met with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help me succeed on my path to recovery. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and always available when I needed guidance or encouragement. The detox process, which I was initially nervous about, was made as comfortable as possible. The medical team carefully monitored my progress and adjusted my treatment plan to meet my specific needs. I felt safe and well taken care of at every stage. In addition to the medical support, the counseling and therapy sessions were transformative. The therapists helped me understand the root causes of my addiction and gave me practical tools to maintain my sobriety once I left. The holistic approach, including group therapy, mindfulness exercises, and nutrition, really made a difference in my overall well-being. The facilities were clean and welcoming, and the environment was designed to promote healing and relaxation. I’m truly grateful for the positive impact this center has had on my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking compassionate, effective help in their recovery journey. The new location on 27th st just as bad as the last one these people will make you wait hours on end with the lobby empty for labs. You may have an appointment but lose the whole day. They spend talking and on social media not helping these are people with chronic lllnesses they don't care. Dr. Ricart is the best doc ever - I have been seeing him for over 5 years and being under his care is has had a huge impact on the quality of my life. If you are struggling with anxiety or stressful life events, or bad days have become bad weeks or months, I highly recommend Dr. Ricart. He is compassionate and his office is 100% on point. I started here bc the self pay rates were reasonable when I didn't have insurance and continued even after I got commercial insurance bc there really isn't a better doctor in this field in Miami. To address some of the issues mentioned in the other reviews: make your next appointment before you leave and go to there 5040 location if you can. I have had no problem at that locations however the one in Midtown is hard to communicate with.

I learned so many valuable life skills at this place when I was a teenager, and I know at the time I didn't want to be there, but I mean, what teenager(in my particular position at the time) would want to be away from their friends and family? But now at 23 almost 24, I am grateful for everything this place and the staff back then and all the lifelong friends I made in this place who I still talk to to this day, and are probably my favorite friends I have because we have a special bond and it's thanks to this place.

They are not miracle workers, but they sure try their best. Very sad that some of our kids are sometimes beyond help. In some ways we have to take some blame for this. This works best when we , as parents, are able to detect symptoms early and get them help early, denial gets in the way. Sometimes is very difficult to see when our children are struggling mentally, No parent wants to admit to this, Even worse, we don’t know how to deal with it. Is difficult. We were very lucky. Ray , Katoya worked, and helped our daughter. Yosi, worked with us, she helped us understand how to deal with this. Without her help, I have no doubt things would have turned out different. Today, our daughter is home, different person, graduated High school. Most importantly, she is alive.

Its been some years since I went through DAF's 60 day residential treatment program. I have to say that I am horrified by some of the reviews written on this website. By some of the descriptions I'm sure that some of their policies have changed, especially with court ordered people. Having a colorful background myself I can understand some of the policies listed in the complaints could be very true. When you are looking at jail time or court ordered treatment, the treatment time would really sound like a walk in the park. I have spent time in jail once and know that what isn't nailed down will disappear or will be fashioned into something else. Let me be clear, jail is not a walk in the park, its serious and dangerous because the people there are dangerous, that's why they are there. So as far as DAF is concerned, they are dealing with some dangerous people, not all from court ordered. You also have to remember why your there in the first place and what kind of havoc you have created in not only your own life but in the lives of the ones you loved most. They have to have policies in place to protect everyone and some people won't like them. DAF is a business and like any business it takes money to keep in operating. They may take a lot of court ordered people, I don't know, but I do know the state pays, which is more than some other situations. I have nothing but gratitude for DAF. They were there for me when I needed them, and they helped me create the foundation of my recovery. They took me in when no one else would and gave me 3 hots and a cot and armed me with enough information that I haven't found it necessary to return for additional help from them. They gave me life skills to continue with MY RECOVERY! To me its what you make of it. If you go looking in this world for trouble, you will find it. If you go looking for good, you will find that too. Its up to you to make the most of where your at and with what you have period. Coming from nothing, something was better. Thank you DAF.

Broward County’s Drug Court Treatment Division in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offers two programs to help people with drug and alcohol addiction avoid jail time. The Pretrial Intervention Program provides an alternative to jail for new, nonviolent offenders charged with drug-related crimes. When you complete this program, you could have your felony
If you find yourself in drug court you can’t blame everyone else. Change starts from within and acceptance is key to this process. I’ve been in drug court a few times. I have a disease that’s been criminalized and prints money for many establishments. It’s the most frustrating area of my life and a criminal record only adds to the abundance of guilt and shame this disease focuses on. Thankfully broward county takes a strong stance on rehabilitation for those who would benefit and are honest with themselves about their challenges. I’ve stood in front of 3 drug court judges over the years and each operate with a high level of integrity, respect and sympathy. The newest judge is a man who looks beyond the low moment that brought you to court and sees the potential in your future. He never speaks down to anyone in his court nor does he allow any of his team or partners to act in a disrespectful manner to those trying to better themselves. I will say this…you get a few chances if you’re honest and up front but if you try to BS the system the climate will change quickly and you’ll be sent to felony division. It’s a rare occurrence but warranted for many. If you’re in this program and have Donald as your counselor you’re in good hands. This is a man of god and he truly shows up for his clients and goes the extra mile. Donald and Judge Davis helped restore my faith in self, god and the system. And if Judge David is reading this, I’ve held true to my commitment last time we spoke…I never have to be the victim of my decisions again.
